The Cartels
Chapter 74
Gunshots rang in the air, bullets flew around the whole building.
Men yelling and guns cocking.
Mason stood at the top floor, he was the first person to see the men invading their place.
Thank God he had decided to drop by after some minutes of contemplating whether to stay home or come here.
Picking up his phone he dialed Mikhail's like but the bastard had switched up his phone and Fabio! Damn! Was drunk.
He cussed as he walked to the ammunition on the table and picked one of them.
They had a lot of men down the stairs but who knew how many their enemies were?
Cocking the gun, he brought out his phone to see Sandra's name on the screen.
Damn! Not now. He didn't want to get swayed in front of a war.
He switched off his phone, placing it under the huge fridge that was close to the ammunition table.
"Boss, what do we do? Our men are ready and we can take them one." Gaius said and he nodded.
"Then let's take them out then." He said and smiled, picking out small knives and stuffing them into his pockets.
Moving to the huge television that was used for the CCTV, he used the mouse, looking for each block the CCTV was placed.
The people invading them were useless and senseless, not trying to avoid the CCTV.
Where are they even seeing them?
His eyes widened when he passed a particular person and went back.
That was Susan's father!
After the man had made his daughter betray them, he had gone into hiding and now he had come out to fight.
He smirked.
"You see this man with the hat?" He asked and Gaius nodded.
"I want him alive Gaius. No one is allowed to kill him but me. So bring him to me alive." He said and the man nodded.
"Now, let's go. Their men are many but we're well-trained." Mason said and Gaius nodded, grabbing a gun.
Cocking it, they both walked out of the door to fight for their Home.
*****
Minutes had passed and none of their men had been shot down, although their enemies were getting lesser as time went by.
Mason stood behind the tanker at the front of the Mansion, cocking his gun...he pressed it closer to the remote side and aimed for the man he had come out for.
Oh, how he detested that man.
And as if the man had gotten a whiff of what was happening...he ran out of his hiding place making Mason groan.
Standing up, and holding the gun steady to his chest like the USA Navy that he was before, he rushed to the other tanker and waited for the man.
The gunshots had mellowed down and the men were now fighting hand-to-hand at the back side of the Mansion.
"Who do we have here? The one and only Mason Scott." Mason turned around and smirked.
How folly of the man to come to him directly.
"I'm not here to fight you, Mason. I came for Mikhail and would like you to even join me." He said.
"I don't know why you're fighting for Mikhail but what had he ever done for you? Nothing...he only provided you with power but me... I'll provide you with anything and everything you ever wanted in the world. You can even become my heir and marry my daughter Susan. Such a good offer isn't it?" He cocked a brow.
"I wonder how you'd give me the world when it isn't even yours. You see Mikhail..... didn't give me power idiot. I already had the power before I met him.
Mikhail had to open my eyes to see the things people like you do for his country...do to this country." Mason said, shaking his head.
"You dug your own grave, the minute you decided to come to play adviser," Mason said, stepping back from the man.
And just before the man could cock the gun he had pocketed, Mason shot him in the leg and the sound resounded in the whole environment.
Bang!
Mason's eyes widened as he watched the man gasp for breath before he stepped away from him.
Holding his belly, Mason groan as well as looked down at his belly and saw blood dripping down.
The damn man had stabbed him as well.
He groaned again, bending down as he clutched his belly hard.
Gathering all the strength he had, he stood up and picked up his gun that had fallen and shot the man again before he dashed for the car.
If he was going to die then he had to do one thing...he thought and drove as fast as he could.
Damn! He had left his phone at the office.

Susan sat on the bed as she watched his pretty face.
She had concluded she would not get involved in his matter again but here she was fan girling him.
He was handsome. So handsome.
She traced her finger down his face, rubbing it and making him frown in his sleep.
"Troublemaker." She whispered.
She had long dropped anything that would attack them.
She has told him that she never cheated on him and since he was so hell-bent on not listening to her...she would do nothing but leave.
The stupid job her father had given her was not even something she had been working on.
She didn't even know why she had agreed in the first place.
There was no way she'd betray him again and create more space for them.
She made to stand but firm hands grabbed her palm and pulled her back.
Turning around, her eyes widened when she saw him staring at her.
"Why aren't you sleeping?" She asked and he scoffed.
"So you wanna leave again? It's so funny that after everything you did to me. I still love you." He mumbled and shook his head before dropping her hand.
"I didn't cheat on you. This will be my last time saying this Mr. Fabio Fredericques but I didn't cheat on you. As you said, you have everything I would want..then why cheat on you. That day at that hotel, my father had told me to go to the room where someone was going to hand me a file." She began, as she watched him go back to sleep.
He was trying to be awake.
"So I went there and then a girl opened the door for me. I drank a lot of wine in my father's office so I was pressed and then asked her to show me her bathroom. Since it was a girl's room, I didn't think it was bad at all. So when I got in, the girl suddenly went out and banged the for from outside..and a guy suddenly came out of the back. At first, I thought he had wanted to take advantage of me as he pushed me to the bed and as I struggled for him not to take my clothes off..it was too late and he did so. After taking off my shirt...we both stayed in that position and he suddenly let me go. I ran out through the backdoor of the hotel room thinking it was a bathroom. After going home...I saw what they had posted about me. It's okay if you feel that you shouldn't forgive me. My mother upon till decided to never forgive me on that...so I don't think you should as well." She mumbled and sighed.
Her eyes went to the wall clock and she pinched that part between her brows.
She would go tell her father that she was not doing anything again for him.
She wanted to go back to her c
sweet photoshoots in Florida and Miami along with those other countries that would always call her to come to shoot for them.
"I'm going for real this time Fabio. I'm so sorry for hurting you the second time, but I think it's for the best. There's no way.. you'd ever forgive me and I'm so tired of always fighting with you. I don't have the strength and power to keep that up." She laughed, shaking her head as she smiled.
"But then I hope and I wish that one day you'll find the love you deserve and that person will love you so much. That person will be your number one and that person will cherish you. I'd go back and change it all, but I can't. I don't blame you for chaining the door to your heart like this cause I deserve it." She said and stood up.
Walking closer to him, she placed a kiss on his lips and smiled.
"Our last kiss taste so nice." She said and laughed lowly, before grabbing her bag and walking to the door.
She opened the door and closed it back.
"Hello." She placed the phone on her ear.
"Hmm, prepare the plane, Gretchen. I'll be leaving the day after tomorrow." She said and hung up.
She would be leaving for real.
