Chapter 75
Sandra sighed as she sat on the couch in her apartment.
Earlier the week, they had told them to come to see their mother and now...their mother was yet to wake.
She was already getting worried for the woman.
She walked to the kitchen.
She would make a paste and go give it to her mother and maybe spend the night there.
Boiling the rice, she washed it before soaking it in the water and putting back into the pot.
She would make a delicious rice paste, her mother's favorite.
Minutes passed and she was done cooking, and got a flask and turned the small food she had prepared into the flask.
At first, the banging didn't settle well for her, and then it began to sound harder.
She frowned, walking out of the kitchen to the living room.
It was her door, but who the heck was knocking so hard in the middle of the night?
"Hello, who's there?" She asked.
"Open up, it's me."
"Who?" There was no way she'd open up without knowing who it was.
It could be Mikhail's enemy or Mason's enemy for Pete's sake and she didn't want to fall victim even to rape or death.
"It's me, Mason." She could recognize the voice now.
Her eyes widened and she opened the door quickly, unbolting the nuts and turning the knob to see a wounded man on the floor in front of her apartment.
"Jesus!" She shrieked, walking to the man on the floor...
"Mason." She called her eyes widening.
"don't yell, ahhh...not there." He mumbled as she tried to help him up.
"What happened to you? I thought you were home." The tears were already rushing out of her eyes without any words.
She had tried to act strong after she had left his mansion and seeing that Frank was watching her was enough to get her to shut up and not cry again but now.... seeing him here was making it hard and she cried it all out.
She helped him up and they both walked inside and settled on the couch and he slept on his sides.
"What happened to you? Who did this to you?" She asked as she rushed inside to get the cleaning tools.
Ashley was more like a doctor so she had learned a lot of things from her sister.
"What are you doing? Don't tell me you want to kill me because I yelled at you?" He joked as she raised the small cutter to cut the small part of the wound surface so she would be able to clean the wound and save it from infection.
"I'm trying to help here Mason, now isn't the time for your stupid jokes that aren't even funny." She said, glaring at him amidst tears.
He nodded, watching her cut the small part as easily as she could as if handling an egg.
"What Happened to you?"
"I was stabbed by someone I hate so much."
"Did he get away?" She asked.
"why are you asking?" His lips curved into a smile.
"So I'd stab him back." She said and he chuckled.
A low one that made her look up at him.
"I killed him." He said and she stopped. Her eyes widened and she turned to look at him.
"I shot him and shot him and shot him...till there was no bullet left in my gun to shoot again. I watched him die while I stood by and made sure he was dead." He said and she nodded and sighed
"Do you think I'm a monster?" He asked and she shook her head.
"Sometimes the death of some people is the best thing to do. If you left them off, you'll be creating a more complicated and dangerous future..so why now end their life and save them the miserable life?' She said and he smiled.
"Sandra... I'm so sorry about what I said earlier, I wanted to.
"I like you."
"I wanted to... What?" His eyes widened as he looked down at her.
She had her eyes closed and her hands had tightened on the bandage she held and was tied around his waist.
"You're doing it wrongly." He said and she opened her eyes to see what she was doing but her eyes widened the more..when she saw him lean closer real fast and then his lips were hers.
"Mason..?' She mumbled in between the kiss but he didn't mind as he kissed him senselessly, pulling her closer so she would sit on his lap as he kept kissing her.
She wrapped her arms around him, pressing herself closer to him. The kiss that had begun from a sloe one had gotten fierce as time went on. He pushed her up slowly, not disengaging their lips as he stood up slowly and carried her up such that she wrapped her legs around his torso.
He kept kissing her as he walked to the couch.
He dropped her on the couch and hovered around her.
"Mason." She whimpered as he traced his lips down her neck.
Earlier when she had come back from his mansion. She had begun to cry her eyes out.
She had long known that she had fallen for Mason Scott but she would never admit it to herself.
She had never thought she would ever say those words to him but thank God she did...cause she was now sure that he cared as well.
he did love her.
She stared at him as he watched her after kissing her for so long.
Mason smiled as he watched her from her head down to her belly.
He could see her belly button due to the clothing she wore.
She was beautiful... beautiful was an understatement.
Her swollen lips and her puffy eyes showed that she had been crying for hours, and her hands were wrapped around his neck.
Never had he thought he would confess to her.
After all, she had always been in his heart.
It was so hard to pretend to not love her and to put things in place...he had used harsh words to make himself feel better but he was feeling so worst.
As if he had done something unforgivable.
"I love you, Sandra Crook.' He mumbled before going down on her lips again.

A sneak peek... coming soon on
Henley
I folded my hands as I leaned on the coffee machine, the mop handle nudged my stomach but I didn't budge.
I had long finished mopping and cleaning the top floor.
I watched the other table that was filled with blondes girls, ordering and eating like life was just a piece of cake.
Well...kids born with silver spoons don't worry about life, it was up to us to worry about life.
Life? Sometimes I wonder if I had one to worry about.
A lot was going on In my little head as I watched the little show-like drama in the Bar.
I watched Christine deliver drinks to the counters on the east side.
"It's going to be your round soon Henley." Ryan whistled and I nodded.
He was our Boss, the owner of Thirst Ranch.
He was average in height and had shorts on and a pair of glasses didn't fit his eyes.
"You gotta watch out for the guys at the back. I think they're robbers or something, heard them whisper something like taking the guy out if he made a sound." Christine leaned towards me and whispered.
That wasn't my business.
I had a lot on my plate to even think about some robbers that were practically leaving a good life while committing different crimes.
"Okay," I mumbled to brush her off.
It was my round and I had to take care of the people.
People at Thirst Ranch were either crazy or yet to be.
Walking to the table that had Christine running around the whole bar in the past hours, I feigned a smile. One I knew didn't reach my eyes.
"What else do you want to order?" I asked.
"Two frozen margaritas and a bottle of Vieux carré." I nodded, writing down what they needed before going to the next table.
"Hi there." I smiled again.
It was the table Christine had warned me about.
They looked like southern Arabians, no..they looked more like barbarians, their haircuts were that of the ancient times..which got me wondering if they were robbers who earned a lot.
"Less looking..more working." The one with the better face said and I gave out a short chuckle.
"Three bottles of Tequila Paloma and two bottles of White Russian." I wrote their stuff down and was about to leave when the latter grabbed my hand and dropped something on the table I looked down to see that it was a picture.
"Hmm?"
"Seen this guy around here?" The other barbarian asked.
"No," I replied and he nodded.
"Then what about a guy that's six feet tall and has grey eyes and..." He trailed off and shook his head.
"Don't worry about it." He mumbled and I nodded, smiling before turning around and rolling my eyes.
People were problems.
They carried problems around and I wouldn't want to be like those girls who were dropped out of cars....while some parts of their bodies had been chopped off.
I walked to the counter, rounding the counter. I moved to the bar section B to see that there was nothing there.
"Boss decided to shift everything into the winery Henley, you gotta go there and grab anything you want. But while you're at it, please get me a bottle of Dry Martini." Diego said and I nodded.
Diego was the only male worker we had around.
Well, Ryan wanted only female employees in his bar and said women attracted more customers than men.
That wasn't a lie though.
And that was the reason we were forced to wear such ridiculous outfits.
Do you know that tight mini skirts some women in bikinis choose to wear whenever their pants were just too small for their bum? Well, yes..that was the same skirt we were forced to wear. It was so short that we didn't dare pick anything when it falls.
I walked to the winery and opened the door.
Well, it was my first time in here as it was Diego that would always get the stuff from the winery while we attend to the many customers we always had.
Some would come for the drink, some would come because Thirst Ranch was the best in the area while some would come for the mini skirt and the tight top that couldn't even fit my body probably due to my busty breast.
I wasn't that gifted with boobs but then the top was just too tight to fit in my boobs that were not too small and not too big.
I switched on the lights and I could swear that I saw something move... more like a shadow.
"Is anyone there?" I asked, walking to the place I'd get my cocktails and leave.
"Is anyone there?" I asked again and then my eyes widened when I looked down to see someone on the floor.
Wait..what the fuck?
I dropped the bottles, ready to run away when he called out my name.
"Henley Andrew." He called and my eyes widened.
"If you don't get your ass over here in two minutes.. your brother is not going to see the fucking morning of tomorrow being Wednesday." He said again.
Wait! How did he know that I had a brother? And my name?
The voice sounded familiar though.
I turned slowly, leaving the doorknob that I was holding so tightly.
I walked back to the place I'd found him on the ground.
"Bend down and help me with this, I've tried but it's not coming out." He said, wincing in pain.
How the hell did he get into our winery?
Oh, help me, Lord! I thought as my eyes traveled up and I felt the little life I had in me leaving my body.
What?!
