Chapter 18 Issue

A chaotic situation erupted at the University of Cavite. Students were rallying with banners containing the phrase “Kick that slut out of school!” They were chanting negative comments about Kia, criticizing her.

The news spread everywhere and the university decided to suspend the class because they could no longer control the students from rallying. A woman wearing a business professional outfit. She entered a white Toyota Hiace.

“That wretched woman! She dares to trick me and act like an innocent, but then she will make a story about the both of us?!”

“Calm down, Nate. Letting your anger out wouldn't help,” the woman said.

“Miss Yun, what is going on outside?”

Miss Yun is the secretary of Nates’ family. She handles everything for the family. “Now— There are a lot of students rallying inside, so you can’t go outside. There are also people posting the issue on the internet, there are 236 new gossip articles circulating the internet but don’t worry we are already taking action for that. The public relations team has begun to take care of it urgently. The impact is expected to be knocked down tomorrow.”

Upon arriving at the front of the school, Kia found many students in chaos and shouting her name. She was noticed by the guard, who immediately approached her.

"Ms. Saavedra! Come here! The dean is looking for you. I will let you get inside without them noticing you…"

Kia immediately followed the guard and took a different path to enter the school. When they successfully entered the building, they immediately headed to the dean's office, where Miaree was standing and waiting for Kia.

"Kianna! Oh, God! I'm glad you made it here alive. How did you pass those bitches outside?" Miaree asked.

Kia pointed her finger at the guard and said, "Mr. Guard, help me to avoid them. Wait, what is going on exactly?"

"Let's enter the dean's office first. The dean is waiting for you."

They entered the room, and a deafening silence welcomed them. There are two people inside the room. The dean was seriously staring outside the window, and the other person was Vera. Retouching her make-up is all she can focus on while she sits quietly in the chair. When she noticed Kia and Miaree entering the room, she immediately stood up.

"She's here, Dean!"

The dean slowly glanced at them and said, "Take a seat, Ms. Saavedra." They followed the dean's order and waited for her to say something.

"I was very disappointed by the news that I heard, Ms. Saavedra. You can't do things like that inside the school premises. Can't you think about the reputation of the school? And also, he is the son of Chairman Ramirez. That boy can't get into any scandal, but then here we are! But still, I want to hear your side. Now, explain everything to me, Ms. Saavedra, or if you don't, I don't have any choice but to expel you."

"But Dean! She's already violated the rules of the school. Can't we just expel her already or maybe give her some punishment!" Vera shouted.

"Shut up, Eunice! Why are you here anyway? Are you the one who spread those rumors?"

"I told you Miaree to stop calling me by my second name! Are you that really dumb for not understanding that?! And yes! It's me. I am the one who saw them in the girls' restroom. Dean, I saw Kianna flirting with Nate—"

"Enough! I asked for Ms. Saavedra's side, so can you please... two of you... keep quiet. Go on, Ms. Saavedra, you can speak now."

Kia took a deep sigh before starting to talk. "Dean, it was all a misunderstanding. Vera was lying when she claimed what she said. I went to the bathroom because I was having period cramps, and then I suddenly stumbled, and Mr. Ramirez helped me. Since I had nothing to use and there was already blood on my skirt, he offered to help me buy a sanitary napkin. He also handed me his coat to hide the blood stain. Again, Vera lied about everything she stated. I am not related to Mr. Ramirez. I'd never done such a thing. Dean, my husband and I are married, and I am a devoted wife. Outside the bathroom, there is CCTV. It must be made quite evident that Mr. Ramirez entered the women's restroom while carrying a bag of sanitary napkins."

"Is that so? If what you mentioned is true, then it is the university's job to clear your name. I'll let the security personnel look at the CCTV. And if we find out that you are lying, Ms. Ventura, I'm going to have to report you to your parents and have you help clean the canteen's dishes. Because you circulated false information and endangered the university, you will have to undergo this punishment. You can go now.”

Vera rolled her eyes and immediately stood up to leave the room, but then...

“Ms. Ventura, I need you to stay. I am not done questioning you.”

Vera doesn't have a choice but to go back to her seat. Kia and Miaree said goodbye to the dean before leaving the room. They decide to go to Miarees' house, but then there is an urgent emergency that Miaree needs to attend to.

"I can give you a ride home, Kia." Miaree offered, but then Kianna refused. "I'll just take a taxi on my way home," Kia answered.

When Miaree left, Kia decided to go through the parking lot since it was the only way where no one would notice her. She was quietly walking when someone suddenly grabbed her hand and forced her to enter the car.

"Well, hello again, Kianna Myst Saavedra."
