Chapter 47 I Didn't Mean To
“Hey! Since just now, you have been ignoring what I have to say. What exactly do you need? — Will you all please hold it! Are you even paying attention to what I'm saying? — I will bring you back to where you came from, or your friend Miaree will kill me. — Oh, my God! I was wrong the last time, you know. I am sorry! I am aware that the previous time I was an idiot. The only reason I did that was to get my parents to stop pressuring me to marry someone I didn't care about. I, I'm Really Sorry! Nate remarked as he trailed behind Kianna. “Hey! I am sorry that I have already said it to you. Why do you continue to disregard what I say? — Hey, I'm to blame for this. Okay? I had no idea that my followers would get so insane that they would assault you, which may land you in trouble... Come on, just tell me what I need to do to make it up to you. Come on, just tell me. Added by Nate.
Kianna came to a stop and confronted Nate. There is a hint of a smile on her face, and it would appear that she is pleased with what she has been informed. "Since you are aware of your errors and have made efforts to rectify them, it is fine with me to forgive you! Whatever the case, where is your car?
"Are you kidding me? You made it all the way here on foot, and now you are questioning me about something? Nate remarked while taking a few long breaths. "Let's go. It's all the way over there."
They started walking in the direction of the parking lot. Nate couldn't help but look at Kianna as soon as they were in the car together. “What?” Kianna asked.
"Are you still residing in that residential neighborhood? Just like the last time I took you home in my car, right?
...I had no idea that he was aware of the fact that I resided here...
“Yeah…” Kianna responded in a short amount of time.
Because they were still moving, nobody ventured to talk to the other person while they were on the road. They simply maintained their silence till they reached the residential neighborhood.
Kianna's voice came out of nowhere while they were still going through the entrance of the subdivision when she remarked, "You can drop me off here."
"But, it's fairly far from your place. Please remain seated as I drop you off in front of your residence.
When they arrived, Nate kept driving even though they were there. Kianna exited the vehicle without wasting any time.
…
I made it! Now I'm settled in. I wonder whether Ares is holding out for me to arrive...
"Hey, how come you behave in such a way? Not even a word of gratitude? Just so you know, I was the one that drove you home! You are so impolite!" Kianna was approaching their home when Nate let out a scream as she did so.
Kianna rolled her eyes and turned around to face her friend before saying, "Thank you for driving me home. Do you require my assistance in seeing you off?" Kianna inquired while putting on an artificial smile.
"That's wonderful. I am leaving. You had best live up to your promise and look at me with those adoring eyes as I go!" Kianna merely smirked at Nate as he stated this and continued to stare at him while laughing, despite the fact that Nate had already started the car.
Kianna had just reached the threshold of the house when she unexpectedly collided with another person. "Ah! Ares… I'm sorry, I'm late…"
Ares stated to Kianna, "You look so happy with another man," and he instantly grabbed Kianna's wrist after making the statement.
As soon as they were inside, Ares shut the door in their faces and pushed Kianna up against the wall. He was looking at her in a daze. Now, could you just explain yourself? Why are you spending time with that guy—"
"He simply drove me home, okay?" Kianna remarked this while attempting to push Ares, but he blocked her hand and prevented her from doing so.
"Tell me. Why are you spending time with that guy? It looks like Nathan Zac Ramirez, doesn't it? Your alleged lover who goes to this school?"
You're the one who spread the rumor, and it's not true!"
"It does not appear to be a rumor at this point, Kianna!"
"Ares, put an end to that. Simply put, let's talk about this the next day. I still have a class the next day.
Ares chuckled and asked with a smirk, "You still realize you have classes tomorrow, right?" I had the impression that you couldn't even recall the time. You drove up in the vehicle that belonged to another man, and you appeared to be in a good mood. Have you have a good time with him?
Kianna exerted every ounce of her power in an effort to force Ares to get out of her way. "If you are going to waste your time talking about this matter, then please do something to help yourself. I apologize for interrupting you, but I am so exhausted.
...Those hooligans bullied me, yanked my hair, and tore the clothes I was wearing, and all of this, in his view, was because I had such a fantastic time with another man — It turns out he doesn't trust me!
...
"Kianna, do you even know why I am acting this way? — Do you even know why I am doing like this? I have been trying to find you and have contacted you a number of times already. On the other hand, it appears that you have silenced your phone. Where do you stand? What are you doing as I run about like a crazy person trying to find you? You are now in a relationship with that man; nonetheless, is it possible that this statement is accurate? You are actually having sexual relations with that other man while you are married?! Ares is unstoppable by any means. He was controlled by his feelings, and all he wanted was to get the answers he was looking for.
"We got married by mutual consent and a legal document. You have no right to pass judgment on the humanity I possess. — However, what about you?! Have you ever considered how I must have felt when I saw you walking in the door last night, reeking of perfume and with a mark of lipstick on your coat?
Ares' eyes narrowed as he focused on what she was saying and thought about it. What exactly do you mean by lipstick? But I…" Ares almost instantly recalled the incident in which his helper had unexpectedly collided into him. "Hon, I'm sorry, but you have it completely wrong. Why don't you inquire about it first? You don't even give me the chance to explain myself, and yet—"
"Can you elaborate on that?" What do you mean, provide me with some lame excuses and dispute the fact that you cheated on me?
"Nothing could be further from the truth... Is it the case, since that's the reason you associate with the other guy? Are you trying to get even with me?!"
Kianna's ability to contain her emotions failed, and she began to cry. "Hang around? It appears that you consider me to be a simple woman—"
"Kianna, please don't think that way—" Ares made an attempt to approach Kianna, but she repelled his advances and ran away.
"Don't you dare touch me! I beg you!" It is now crystal clear to me. You do realize that this is all a game, and the only thing that is required of me is to play it with you, right? You chose to marry me because you considered me to be a simple woman who would gladly comply with your request without question. Put yourself out of my path! Kianna promptly shoved Ares and dashed towards the bedroom as she was crying her eyes out and unable to stop the flow of tears from her eyes.
"Kianna—" Ares followed Kianna, but she quickly shut and locked the door once he entered the room.
"Kianna, open the door. Please give me your full attention. Kianna, I did not intend for you to understand that. Let's discuss this topic first, shall we? Ares knocked quite a few times, but Kianna ignored all of his attempts to get her attention. She hurried over to the bed and shrieked as she did so.
