Chapter 73 Celebration

Tonight will be the best night of this week. Miaree's dinner plan will be happening tonight, and our loved ones are invited. Of course, my husband is also invited. I already told Ares about the dinner party, and fortunately, he doesn't have any work for tonight.

He is totally free!

We will be having dinner at the restaurant of Miaree's uncle tonight. Ares didn't want me to walk all the way home, so he asked his friend Kyle for a favor to drop me off at the house while he accompanied their boss to a meeting. At first, I was shocked to see Kyle in front of my school. I also thought that he might have a girlfriend or a relative studying at the same school as mine. But then he immediately approached me when he saw me walking towards the bus stop.

"Mr. Kyle, can I ask you something?" I murmured as I was staring out the window looking at the cars passing by.

I saw him in my peripheral view and he glanced at me. I then slowly look at him. As our eyes met, I couldn't see anything in his eyes. It feels like he is guarding something. All I can see is a blank expression from a cold guy.

"Yes, what is it? — By the way, just call me Kyle. I am your husband's friend, so you don't have to be so formal."

"I see, Kyle… Well, I am just wondering about the scenario that happened a long time ago. Back when Ares and I fought about something and he left the house. I actually went to the Vueravista Company and then I asked about my husband's name on the counter…"

"Hmm?! You did that?"

"Y-yeah, I did. So they told me that they don't have my husband's name on their employee list. I am just wondering how that will happen. They said that they know you, but then they didn't know Ares. Are you guys hiding something from me?"

He stopped for a second. Upon analyzing his actions, it seems that he was trying to think of a reason for giving to me. Is it really true that they were hiding something from me? Did Kyle also know that Ares is hiding something from me?

“Ares is a special student that they hired at the company. He is the right hand of the boss in everything and it means he is the one who always accompanied the mysterious CEO of our company. Our boss doesn’t want to be known so what he did is he made a secret path for him to enter his office without anyone seeing him. That's where Ares goes as well. The boss hides his identity from the whole company because of important reasons and that is too confidential for me to know. That is all I know so if you still have questions you can ask Ares for it, maybe he has an answer to all of your questions.” Kyle answered as he continued to drive. We are now on the main road and we are about to enter the subdivision.

“I already ask him but all I received from him is that he said that he will tell me everything when the right time comes.”

“Then wait for the right time—”

“Yeah, but I am just wondering what if I couldn’t wait longer?”

“Only you can answer that. Ask yourself and analyze the situation that’s when you will have your answer. Anyway, we are here.” He said and I immediately look out the window and he is right we are already in front of our house.

I gave him a nod as an answer and fixed my things as I get ready to get out of the car.

“Kianna, wait! I forgot to give you this…” He stopped me and grabbed something from behind.

“What is it?”

“Here, Bo— Ares want me to give you that.”

“I see. Thank you, Kyle! Have a safe drive!” I said before getting out of the car and heading inside the house. I immediately dropped my bag on the couch and opened the paper bag that Kyle handed to me.

As I opened it I saw two boxes and when I opened them I saw a red dress and red sandals. It looks so elegant and expensive. Did he spend much money on this? Why did he buy me this when it’s just a simple dinner? But I can’t stop looking at the dress and the red sandals, I wonder if I will look good when I wear them…

ARES

While I was driving I received a text from Kyle that he had already driven Kianna all the way home safely. I wasn’t able to pick up Kianna from his school because I was busy finding and thinking about what gift I should give her. I want to give her something special for this celebration dinner. While wandering around the city I passed by a store. The front is eye-catching so I decided to drop by and look for something that I can give to my wife. As I entered the store I saw a lady busy organizing the bags.

“Miss, are you selling bags?” I asked.

She stopped from what she was doing and seriously looked at me. “Isn’t it obvious? You see there are so many bags in front of you and you’re still asking if I am selling bags?” she said as he rolled her eyes.

“Oh… Can you like introduce the bags in front of you?”

“For whom?”

“For my wife,” I smiled.

She immediately grabbed a bag and showed it to me. “Here you go, sir. Let’s start with Yuna, sometimes a member of itzy, more often a storage. This is durable sir, much more durable than your wife’s head! One more thing, you won’t be robbed with this as you see it’s covered all over. — Let’s move on to Ellie. You can use it as a lunch box, but you can also use it if you are doing an errand outside. It is much easier to use it as a sling bag, and you can also use it as storage. — If your mother doesn’t like your wife, buy her this Mia bag, then she can give this to your mother so she will like her. You can see that it has auntie vibes right? Classy, neat, and beautiful.”

“How about this one?” I said while pointing at a small black bag.

“It’s small right? This is Lucia! Don’t belittle this bag just because she is small. Lucia is small but her aura is strong. Aside from your cellphone and wallet, you can fit your patients here if you can’t understand your wife why is she always mad. — So sir, what do you want? Is it Yuna, Elle, Mia, or Lucia?”

“Nice one, Jill. I never thought you are that good at sales talking.” I smirked.

She giggled, “Am I that good? — Hi, Brother! It’s been a long time!”
