Chapter 79 Evil
KIA
One negative encounter is all it takes to alter your perspective. Consider what it would be like if you had to endure this awful situation repeatedly for months or even years. Significant changes occur in your entire personality as well as in how you see the world and yourself. The experience of bullying is like this. Bullying affects a lot of people in this nation, especially kids and teenagers. One of their victims right now is me.
“That’s where you are wrong. Remember what the guard said earlier? There is CCTV in this room and we are being watched. They also wanted us to talk about the issue and fix it which means they can also hear us since they are forcing us to talk about it. See that small red light blinking there?” I said while pointing into one of the books on the shelf. “That must be the CCTV and since we are closer to it they must have heard what we just talk about, Vera.” I notice it earlier while I was choosing a book. I wish I was right, this is the only thing that could save me.
“No! You framed me! You b*tch!” She suddenly pulled my hair. I was in shock to the point that I was unable to defend myself when she suddenly push me to the ground and attacked me with a big slap.
It sounded like her heavy slap at me was resonating in my ears. I collected all of my energy just to give myself a force to push her. She stumbled and fell to the floor which gives me time to stand up.
I seized her in a bear grip after she was able to stand up quickly. We were drenched in sweat. Our clothes were soaked. Then we dropped to the ground and began to roll, one on top of the other. We stood back up and resumed slapping and pounding each other's backs. Once more, one on top of the other, we collapsed to the ground, but this time with more forceful punches and slaps. However, we became worn out and bathed in sweat.
The four came towards us and the screams began to echo in the room. While her servants tried to stop our fight, I suddenly heard a screeching sound of keys. A moment later the guard came toward us and ordered us to stop. We each left the other's exhausted state for a little while, and the guard grabbed us away from each other.
“What’s with this commotion?! You're all incredibly loud. Even though I'm outside, I can still hear your screaming, which hurts my ears!”
Vera suddenly point at me, “It was her who started it. She suddenly grabbed me and attacked me. I was just defending myself from her. Please, do something! I don’t want to stay in this room with her.”
The guard suddenly stayed quiet for a moment. After a while, I was surprised when he suddenly pulled me out of the detention room. While I was being pulled by the guard, I saw Vera smirking at me and waving her hand goodbye.
"Guard please… She is lying! She was the one who started it. She was just making up stories!" I said out of frustration.
He didn't stop grabbing me and pulling my hand. We are already in the hallway walking towards the abandoned room. "I don't care who started it, I need to make a solution to stop all of your irritating fights. — go inside." He said as he opened the door. "Don't worry, I won't add an hour to your detention time. I will let you out after I talk to the dean. So try to behave here so that you don't need to stay in this room for another hour. You got it?" He asked.
"Yes…"
I don't have a choice but to agree with him. He then locked me up in this abandoned room where which used to be a room for faculty members but since the dean made a bigger room because of the increasing quantity of their faculty members, they decided to leave and abandoned this room. Right now, it seems like they made this room a stock room for unimportant papers, this paper must be those written works that the students are passing at this school.
I don't know how long I have been here but my mind can't stop thinking about Vera. The guard left them without closing the detention room. What if they already sneak out? I can't let that happen. They will for sure do anything it takes just to take down the CCTV footage. After waiting for so long, finally, I can now hear a screeching sound coming from the guard keys.
He's here.
"Sir, are you going to let me out now?" I asked as I saw him getting closer.
"The dean wanted to talk to you—"
"But, I need to check on something. Can we go to the—"
The guard interjected, "I said, the dean wanted to talk to you." He then opened the door and waited for me to get out of the room.
I was about to run away when I suddenly saw Miaree and Marcy. They immediately ran my way.
"Girl! What happened? We are so worried about you!" Marcy said while starting to check on every part of my skin.
I didn't answer them, instead, I stared at them intensely and tried to point my lips at the guard. At first, they didn't understand what I was telling them which led me to whisper it to Miaree. "I need to get out of here. Now…."
"Uh— umm… Are you okay, Kia? Oh my God! You look so pale! Didn't you take your medicine?! Marcy! We need to get Kia to the infirmary. She's in a very bad state!" Miaree said, exaggeratedly.
Good thing because it seems like Marcy got it immediately. "Mr. Guard, we need to take Kianna to the infirmary. She still hasn't taken her medicine!
The guard's eyebrows met out of confusion "What do you mean medicine?"
"Medicine! She— umm— she has a mild umm— mild case of heart disease! If we didn't take her to the infirmary now, she might have a heart attack at any moment now!"
"You have heart disease?" The guard worriedly asked. I don't have any choice but to ride on their plan. I answered him with a nod while acting like I was so weak. "Why didn't you tell me that earlier? Go and take her to the infirmary while I inform the dean."
Without thinking about the disease that Marcy told me about earlier, I immediately ran and pulled the two of them.
"Hey! Don't run!" The guard shouted but I didn't mind him and just kept on running.
We then head back to the detention room but as I have expected, no one is inside. They probably sneaked out while the guard was busy with me.
"We need to check the CCTV footage!"
"Kianna, calm down. Can you please tell us everything first?"
"We don't have much time. Let's go!" I said and rushed towards the surveillance office.
When we arrived, I tried to enter the room but it was locked.
Am I late?
