Nancy, Daisy and the rest of the girls got busy doing various hard works around the vast compound. Nancy was given a brush and a bucket of water to go around the house washing the walls. Some other girl was told to clean the windows and make sure they are so clean such that you would think there is no windowpane there.
“You girls think men have all the money to waste on earth, today you will know that we do not dig money.” A man said while going around.
Then one girl was picked and told to wash the other girls’ clothes including their panties.
When Nancy rested a while after scrubbing the walls, someone came around and whipped her big buttocks until she was crying begging for mercy.

When it was some minutes past 1 pm, Daisy served food to the girls who were like slaves. They were told to eat from outside.
“15 minutes of eating and you go back to work, you mother fuckers should know to respect men’s money. You should have been satisfied with what we were giving you without thinking of stealing from us.” Njoroge told them. He was in charge of the house.
“And if am not satisfied with your work, you are going nowhere!” another man said.
The girls barely ate. After 15 minutes, Njoroge went knocking the food from their arms and ordered them to go back to working.
“In fact, we no longer need your pussies, we can get better pussy elsewhere, your pussies are overused by men. Just do your work here and by evening you will be gone.” Njoroge told them.
The girls went back to working. They kept looking around to see of there was some sort of escape route but they realized the whole compound was entirely gated.

Some girls had bloody hands after struggling with rocks while using them to scrub other rocks.

“Throw this rubbish outside!” Njoroge said.
Njoroge looked at the girls and told them, “What are you waiting for? Clean this mess!”
The girls had no choice then to clean up the table room which was so smelly.
Finally, the men decided to let the girls go.
“You can go report to the police what you went through if you wish.” Njoroge told them, “I will know how to handle the police when they come for us. As for you, you should learn to respect men’s money. Don’t you think we have a lot to waste.”
“The items are still in the car, should we tell them to return them?” one man asked.
“No, let them go!” Njoroge said, “We will return them.”

Nancy flagged down a matatu that stopped immediately.
“How much to Mtwapa?” Nancy asked. She however got inside before even the conductor could answer. The other girls also got inside except the one they left behind on her own.
The girls were all silent until they got to Mtwapa at almost 7 pm. They all just wanted to go home. Some were single while some were single mothers.
Nancy took a motorbike that took her to her home as fast as possible. The moment she stepped on the door, she just hugged her daughter and cried.
“What is it mummy?” Lydia asked her mother.
“I just missed you.” Nancy told her.
Nancy’s cousin just watched. She had nothing to say.
Daisy too got to her house and just sat there thinking about everything they had been through. She felt confused such that she sat there staring at the ceiling as if in a dream waiting to wake up but it was all real.
Other girls also went home.
As Nancy took her seat, a call came through to her from Daisy.
“I am trying to text you on WhatsApp and you are not responding.” Daisy said.
“What is it dear? I am still shocked.” Nancy said.
“Then you will be shocked even more.” Daisy said.
“What is it again?” Nancy asked.
“One of the girls, the short dark silent girl who was with us. The one who was told to scrub the path leading to their front gate…” Daisy said.
“What about her? Yes, I remember her.” Nancy said.
“I have gotten some sad news from her. She had left her daughter sleeping alone in the house probably thinking we shall be back by morning, her daughter who was 7. Seems something happened and their house caught fire overnight. She died in the inferno.” Daisy told Nancy.
“OH MY GOD!” Nancy exclaimed, “Are you serious?”
