Chapter 15 Tia Wants Revenge

Angela POV

I rush into the room to comfort Tia. I have no idea if she will allow me to console her. I touch her back as she lays across her sister crying. The horrific pain she must be in is unimaginable. I do not know how I would feel if this was Deanne. What if we are too late to save Deanne?

Tia looks back at me. Her oval deep-set blue eyes are drenched in her tears. She reaches for me. I take her into my arms and hold her. Her knees buckle as she mourns her twin hybrid sister. “I failed her! This is all my fault! How will I live without my sister!” Tia screams.

There is nothing I can say to console her. I keep holding her, letting her cry. She needs to work through the emotions, and all I can do for her is let her cry. “Angela, take her to rest for a while. Let her cry, scream or sleep. Whatever she needs, get it for her. Be her comfort,” Draco says in a whisper.

"Tia, come with me. Let's get you out of here," I say to her. She nods her head and leans into me. She looks back at her precious sister.

"She did not deserve this. She was so special. She was kind and loving. She would not hurt anyone," Tia says.

I take Tia and walk her slowly out of the room. Her legs are weak from the grief she is feeling. She cries as we walk out of the room. I open the door to her room and help her inside. She collapses onto the floor as I close the door behind us. I go to the floor with her. We lie on the floor as she cries.

“That man was so brutal with her and the drugs he gave her. That is what killed her, all those drugs. She has never taken drugs in her life. He kept her drugged so he could do what he wanted with her. He made me watch as he hurt my sister,” Tia sobs.

I gently rub her head, trying to console her. She closes her eyes and curls her body into a ball. Her frail little body looks like a skeleton lying on the floor. “I want him dead. I want to kill him and his wife. I want to rip them to pieces. I hate him and that bitch!” Tia screams.

“Draco will help you. Your family is coming for you,” I say.

Tia jumps to her feet. “No! I do not want my family right now. I want revenge! I want to kill that bitch while he is forced to watch, and then I want to drug him and watch him slowly die!” Tia screams.

Draco and Aspen come into the room to check on Tia. She is ranting and raving. She is in emotional overload wanting revenge. “Tia, I know this is hard, but you need to calm down. I will help you, but first, I have to rescue my sister,” Draco says.

“I will help you, Draco. All I ask is you help me avenge my sister. I want this shit to stop. No one should have to feel this pain, and no one should have to go through what my sister went through at the hands of that vile bastard,” Tia says.

Draco steps closer to Tia. He is tender at this moment. Seeing Draco like this is so different from the Draco I grew up with all my life. He feels for her and worries for her. Draco wants to help her. Draco pulls her into him. His hand gently touches the back of her head as he pulls her closer to his chest. “I will help you get whatever vengeance you need to heal, but I have to rescue my sister from an evil wolf tonight. That is my priority right now,” Draco says.

Tia pulls back from Draco. Her tears are gone. Her face is full of rage and the need to kill. “Tell me what you need me to do, and I will help you. You saved me and brought my sister somewhere to die instead of dying in a box,” Tia says.

Aspen steps forward. “Are you sure we should use her? She is distraught and angry,” Aspen says.

Draco looks back to Aspen. “I think she is just the thing we need to get in to rescue Deanne. We can use her and her anger,” Draco says.

“I hope you have a good plan. We do not need to risk her life,” Aspen says.

“Angela, you are coming with us, too. We need you,” Draco says.

Fear suddenly rushes through my body. I am stiff and cannot speak. “Do not tell me the fearless Anglea who walked into a wolf bar to look for her friend is suddenly afraid?” Draco asks.

I shake off my fears. “No, I am not afraid! I am not afraid of anyone or anything!” I exclaim. I am lying. I am terrified of the thought of a wolf getting me, raping me, breeding, or doing any horrible thing to me, but I have to save Deanne.

“Angela, you do not have to go. You can say no. It is okay to be afraid and say no. No one will make you go,” Aspen says to me, grabbing me so he can look into my eyes.

“I can help, Aspen. I want to help my friend,” I say.

“Good, then it is all settled. We leave in an hour,” Draco says as he and Tia leave the room together.

I fall into Aspen. “I know you are afraid, but I will protect you,” Aspen says.

“I know you will. Deanne is the most important thing right now. We have to get her back. I do not want her dying alone in a box or being used for breeding babies. The thought of her in a box somewhere drugged or abused is too much for me. I cannot say no. She is my friend,” I say.

Aspen holds me tighter. I nuzzle into his chest. “Do you own me now? Are you my Master?” I ask. Aspen huffs at the thought of owning me. I guess it does bother him.

“Yes, I guess I do, but I am not your master, and I would never say that I own you. So I was thinking that when this is over, if you want, we would go somewhere and start a life together, maybe get married,” Aspen says.

The words life and marriage send a shockwave through me. “Is that what you really want? Do you want to start a life with me?” I ask.

Aspen’s hand runs down my back. His touch sends shivers through me. Just being close to him lets me know he is where I belong. I belong to him and him alone. “There is no one on earth I would rather spend my life with than you,” Aspen says.

“I feel the same way, Aspen. I am in love with you. I have known since the day in the water that you were the one for me,” I say.

Draco spoils our tender moment as he comes back into the room. “If you two are through with this moment you are having, we need to work out a plan to go get Deanne; come on. I swear the two of you cannot keep your hands off each other. You two will be having some of those tribrid babies before long,” Draco says.

“I thought we had an hour,” Aspen says.

Draco growls at Aspen. Which I find comical. I thought the wolf would be the growler, not the vampire. “Come on, and I think I have an idea that just might work and not get us killed,” Draco says.

We follow Draco down the stairs. “Not to be morbid, but what about Fia?” I ask Aspen.

“She will be returned to her family for burial. There is nothing we can do about her right now. They have traditions that need to be followed. Fairies are a strange breed of people and all about their traditions,” Aspen says.

“Oh, I did not know,” I say.

Tia and Draco are at the computer pecking away as we enter the kitchen. They are deep into something. “He is bidding on other hybrids,” Draco says.

" How in the hell will the four of us rescue a bunch of hybrids? Are we going to rescue them all?” I ask.

Draco tilts his head and looks at Tia. “If possible. We will get as many as we can. If we are already there, why not? I would never leave anyone behind if I can safely get them out,” Draco says.

“So, what kind of crazy plan do you have, Draco? Do I even want to know?” I ask.

Draco smiles. “Oh, you are going to love this,” he says.
