SCENE 28
Cheryl is still Cheryl. Stubborn. Even though Delisha desperately restrained Cheryl from getting close to Juna, the girl remained in her position. Cheryl doesn't expect Juna to be her lover. Close to Juna and the man smiled at her every time without any element of coercion to be one of the most beautiful gifts for Cheryl.
If Juna couldn't be more than a friend, Cheryl didn't mind that. If their friendship now makes them both comfortable. Juna happy, so is Cheryl. Cheryl felt that she was too young to feel hopeless about her love story. There will be a real prince on horseback, not a prince on horseback that Cheryl imagined. Cheryl and Juna are friends. Everything is enough.
Since being close, Cheryl learned about Juna's true nature. The man was a very gentle and so respected woman. The image of the perfect man Cheryl dreamed of, can you say Juna's heart cannot be forced.
"Thank you," said Cheryl for the thousandth time. Whatever she does, she always thanks Juna. And the man just smiled. The two of them were behind Juna's house. Want to be like other couples who take aesthetic photos by laying out mats and various foods between them. Cheryl is eating mango pudding.
"You over there, let me take a photo." Cheryl giggled, taking her blue polaroid and capturing a picture of Juna, who was as handsome as in social media-style gardens. For whatever reason, Cheryl screamed tacky when she managed to take Juna because almost a year of liking Juna, all of Juna's social media rarely had a picture of him.
"Can we take a photo together?" Juna nodded. Cheryl immediately took a picture of the two, who were both smiling. After seeing the results, she felt very satisfied. The two of them looked so harmonious. Unfortunately, Juna's heart was not for her. It is time for Cheryl to come to terms with the situation by accepting everything. Being close to Juna like this is more than enough, although Cheryl should be a rebellious child because Cheryl is fighting her mother.
Finally, Cheryl finished the mango pudding that Mrs Juna made. Faaza was going to tutoring, so Cheryl did not meet Juna's sister whose face was like a doll.
After the mango pudding was finished, Cheryl had another meal of lucky, sweet strawberry-flavoured sticks. The girl ate three sticks at once while closing her eyes, so she enjoyed it. Juna studied Cheryl. Beautiful and chubby cheeks, even though her cheeks are wider. But, what was stuck on Cheryl's body looked perfect. Cheryl was a very beautiful girl, but Juna's feelings saw Cheryl, not as the opposite sex, just a younger sister. Juna saw a crumb in the corner of Cheryl's lips. The boy wiped lightly, causing Cheryl to open her eyes in surprise.
"Eating dirty like a cat." scolds Juna. Cheryl, who stopped chewing, hit the man and put the stick in her mouth again until she was bloated. Juna was only shaken by Cheryl's attitude, who knew what maintaining image was. Cheryl is what she is and not a hypocrite woman who wants to look perfect in front of a crush. But Cheryl showed herself, as it is. This is Cheryl's strength that no other woman has.
"Do you want?" Juna shook his head. But he also opened his mouth, and Cheryl put two sticks in Juna's mouth. Juna just smiled, making Cheryl laugh out loud shamelessly. Suppose his mouth is open so wide. Again, Juna just shook his head. Cheryl is a unique girl, rare, unusual, though messy. But the girl is special in her ways.
"Cheryyyylll." shouted Faaza. Cheryl immediately stood up and greeted Juna's sister. The girl was wearing a knee-length purple dress with a pink headband and horns like a pony.
"The headband is really pretty." Faaza giggled and showed her toothless teeth in front of them. The girl took off her headband and put it on Cheryl's head.
"You're beautiful."
"Thanks ..." Cheryl exclaimed tacky, clapping her hands. Juna knew that at this rate, he would be ignored. And maybe, will be the audience of the two beautiful women in front of him.
"I want." Point Faaza at the apple that had been cut into small pieces. Cheryl draws a square spot in blue and presents it in front of Faaza. As the girl looked at Faaza's happy face cutting the apple slices, her eyes caught Juna's father staring at them from the window. Cheryl could tell. Cheryl still admires the mature man but still looks so handsome. Cheryl still looked at Juna's father and felt something cold touch her cheek. The girl turned, and Faaza fed Cheryl the apple slices. Cheryl looks tacky.
"Faaza is taking a nap," shouted Mrs Juna. Now it is no longer called daytime if it is late afternoon—a great time to relax. Maybe Juna's mon gets her child used to take regular naps, even if it's only for a few minutes.
"Have you been sleeping?"
the girl shook her head. Spoilably sat on Cheryl's lap and embraced the girl's neck.
"With Cheryl" Cheryl felt bad for Juna's mother, and surely the woman thought she was influencing Faaza. Even though the girl was very comfortable with Cheryl from the start, if other people know, Faaza often tantrums is not easy with other people, maybe because Cheryl is a cheerful girl who can spread her happiness to others.
"I promise, Paja, wake up, and we will plant flowers." Cheryl grinned like a toothpaste ads , even though Cheryl's teeth weren't as white as those on television.
"Cheryl." Faaza crouched while pursing her lips, making Cheryl pinch Faaza's cheeks affectionately.
"I'll promise." Faaza relented. The girl nodded and kissed Cheryl on her cheek. Cheryl replied by kissing Faaza's white cheek in return. Faaza approached her brother, and Juna kissed his sister on the cheek.
"Don't forget to wash your feet. Wash your hands with a blanket." Cheryl shouted to Faaza.
"It's a nighttime sleep ritual." scolds Juna. Cheryl turned her head and laughed at her foolishness. There wasn't a day that Cheryl went without laughing at the end. This. Even though Rose's treatment still made an impression, Cheryl didn't want to remember her bad memory. She also rarely interacts with Rose. Cheryl spends more time with Juna. And they seem close like dating, even though their hearts are different. Or maybe Cheryl was chasing her herself.
"About Floren ..." hearing the name Rose mentioned made Cheryl hug her knees. Cheryl still doesn't understand why Rose can talk like snake poison. Perhaps, Rose is the descendant of the queen of snakes.
"Remember ... as I said. Let people talk like what we are, but we're not like that. In a way, I know what happened. You guys are friends, right?" Cheryl fell silent. Her voice seemed to be swallowed. Lost. The girl finally could only look at the grass in front of her, with a combination of green and yellow mixed with orange.
"Don't think about it. Let them assume, and we are here. Prove it, and wrong assumptions can lead to disaster." Cheryl turned her neck a few degrees looking at Juna. She don't understand what Juna means. But Juna is so calm and mature. A match reflects yourself. Cheryl realizes that she is a messy girl who doesn't deserve a man as calm as Juna. Even though in the end, Cheryl will be disappointed for the umpteenth time by the hope that has been dashed by the reality that happened.
"Prove it to them." Cheryl raised her eyebrows in disbelief at all of Juna's ambiguous words. Is this why Juna doesn't want to because she's a stupid girl who always doesn't connect when he talk to her? If so, Cheryl is a little sorry that she indulges her laziness too much because it is a form of protest to her mother, even though all of them fail. In the past, Cheryl thought that her laziness and bad grades would make Delisha pay attention to her or Delisha grumbling or getting angry. Delisha didn't care. Cheryl was about to die, and no one would ever care about that girl. Argh ... let the pain she used to bury deep. Cheryl doesn't want to remember this bad memory.
"Don't worry about it." Juna took Cheryl's fingers and examined them. The girl held her breath when Juna looked down to make the man look even more handsome. Juna's handsome face makes Cheryl fall in love with him. The hot afternoons and long lines made Cheryl an oasis in the middle of an arid heart. As she carelessly misplaced someone else's future weapon.
"There will be someone who keeps these fingers from getting hurt, lest they become weak. Fingers that will be embedded with a simple piece of jewellery that binds forever." Juna's poetic words made Cheryl's spit dry. Dealing with Juna, Cheryl will always look like a stupid girl. Maybe she who is stupid and ridiculous will only be suitable when juxtaposed with silly ones, like Aldo. Cheryl shook her head, wondering why she thought of that one enemy? Even though with Aldo, it is always busy, it makes Cheryl hold her heart desperately so that there is no bloodshed.
"Daydreaming." Cheryl, who realized everything, finally shook her head.
"Already finish and pack." Cheryl frowned. When she was with Juna, the man always ordered to finish all the food, even though Cheryl was happy to do it. Cheryl is a true food lover, so any food must be ground in her stomach.
Cheryl finished it all and finally drank some red tea. The special tea is indeed red like syrup. And it feels warm, no longer hot.
____________________
If Cheryl is likened to a predator, then a lion is very suitable for Cheryl's mom, and Cheryl is just an ugly duckling that once caught and dies on the spot.
Delisha looked at the savage Cheryl, indeed wanting to rip her flesh to the girl's bones. And you think Cheryl is scared? Not!
Living a cruel life made Cheryl learn, she must not be weak. Cheryl also looked at Delisha defiantly. Both styles are the same, with arms crossed chest. We don't know who wins, the beautiful female lion or the ugly duckling. We'll see, or even both of them are balanced?
"Cheryl ..." said Delisha tiredly as she took several deep breaths. She's tired. But Cheryl's stubbornness to beat the granite, even the stone specially sent from hell, wouldn't make Cheryl realize.
Delisha went back and forth. And Cheryl sat on the green sofa in an arrogant fashion. Delisha catches Cheryl again with Juna, even though Delisha has threatened her before.
"What are the strengths of Juna, until that much?" asked Delisha, trying to be patient.
"Handsome," Cheryl replied lightly, reading a women's magazine owned by her mother.
"So many handsome guys!" Cheryl smiled wryly. There are many handsome boys, but if Cheryl's heart has tilted towards Juna, what should she do now? Even though Cheryl knows very well Juna's feelings for her.
"Yes, a handsome boy is handsome. But Juna is the most handsome. Let's check on campus, and the most handsome is Juna."
"Then?" Cheryl frowned. Her mother's question was as stupid as a kid like Faaza, even more so.
"Yes, so I want to prove that I can find the most handsome boy on campus."
"And Juna's feelings?"
"Y-yes. Juna also likes it." Cheryl's back which had been upright, she leaned back on to the sofa.
"Oh, I see." Delisha just muttered.
"Are you dating?"
"Of course. For what reason, Juna every day send me home if not dating. Mom should be proud, and your daughter can get a campus prince. That means I'm not ugly." Cheryl replied confidently. Even though Satan may be mocking her right now, or even Satan feels sympathy for her, her life is so sad. Cheryl had originally had to lower her self-esteem many times to make him turn to her. And Juna is like a heartless man. Juna doesn't care about Cheryl's feelings. Juna's attention to Cheryl right now, the devil also knows it's a pity. Even though Cheryl hates being pitied. The girl prefers to look tough, even though her heart is blackened.
"I am proud?" asked Delisha in a humble voice. But Cheryl nodded.
Tired, Delisha also sat on the long sofa opposite Cheryl. The glass table obstructed her in front of them.
"I already said," Delisha said in a low voice, almost frustrated.
"I hate it when my life is regulated! Mom should be like before, don't care about me. Back then, you didn't care about the same, and I tried to find my happiness. When I met you alone, you got in the way." Cheryl could feel her whole body trembling. After lately, she thought about Delisha's ban, and this was all he could deduce from her brain of only a few Pentiums.
Delisha shook her head, disapproving of Cheryl's baseless accusations. "Mom always wants the best for you. Maybe, mom used to be like a cruel stepmother, all for the sake of protecting you."
"Protecting what? If it makes me mentally shaken! No need for many reasons. Just tell me, I'm an unexpected child. That's why mom hates me so badly." Cheryl snapped. She really can't be okay with her mother if this woman makes her suffer. Cheryl is all grown up, so she poured out what she felt. She wanted to be a frontal human without having to confide in Meredith and ended up making the old diary torn apart because he was thrown so hard.
"Now, mom wants you to stop approaching Juna anymore. And please get rid of that feeling." Delisha asked kindly.
"On what reason did you forbid me?" challenge Cheryl.
"I'm your mother."
"What a ridiculous excuse!" Cheryl smiled dismissively.
"I know what's best for you!"
"But not by prohibiting and controlling me. Especially about my feelings. Everyone is free to have feelings for anyone."
"How, I said that you and Juna are siblings? Juna's father is your father too!"
"W-what?"
