Chapter 10
Velove just finished the job. After tidying up a few things in the new room, he decided to go home because it was already seven in the evening.
Once out of the room, Velove was a little surprised. There was Nathanael who was sitting and probably waiting for him.
"Velove," Nathan said when he realized the woman he was waiting for was already standing right in front of him.
"What are you doing sitting there?" Velove's surprise when Nathan approached his position.
"I'm waiting for you to come home."
"Wait for me?"
Nathan nodded.
"Yes. At first, I wanted to go straight home. However, when I passed your room the light was still on, I decided to wait so we could go home together," said the man without any preamble.
Velove sighed softly. He then remembered the old days, when they were still dating. Both of them often wait for each other, then enjoy dinner together before finally going home.
"But I'm the same driver."
"Let me take you home tonight, Ve. I just want to make sure you get home safely. And I promise I won't mess with you in the slightest."
Velove looked at Nathanael's face carefully. There was a hopeful look on the man's handsome face. Waiting desperately, so that his request this time was granted by him.
After all, just going home together doesn't seem like a problem, right? After all, Nathan also promised not to do all kinds of things. For that reason, a few moments later he nodded. Agree to Nathan's invitation to go home together.
"Okay, come on."
Nathan smiled happily. He then asked Velove to go first. The two of them then headed to the basement to then go home together.
"Have you eaten dinner yet?" asked Nathan when the two of them were in the middle of the road.
Velvet shook his head. Busy taking care of his first job at the Khiel Group, he forgot to eat. Even from this afternoon.
"Not yet. I'm really busy today," Velove said, looking at the street in front of him.
To hear Velove's answer, Nathan pulled over to the side of the car he was driving. Pause for a moment, then turn around. He shot a worried look at his ex-girlfriend.
"Gosh. You have stomach ulcers, right? Why don't you even eat?"
"I'm fine, Nathan. Don't overdo it."
"Yes, it's okay now. But it doesn't rule out tomorrow morning that your disease will relapse, Ve. If that's the case, I'll take you to eat right now. If you don't hurry, those who will relapse will continue to catch a cold," said the man very much worried. He memorized every habit to the congenital disease that Velove had been suffering from.
Velove looked back at Nathan. Smiling bitterly with all the attention his ex-girlfriend gave him.
"No, don't. Just take me home. I can eat at home."
"No!" Nathan refused while shaking his head. "You have to eat before you can go home."
"Nathan----"
"Ve, I know how you behave," interrupted the man. "Who will guarantee that you will eat at home?"
Nathanael was right. Previously, when he was busy, Velove often postponed his meal schedule. As a result, the woman often complains that her ulcer recurs and even her stomach feels sore and full for days.
"But, I can really eat at home," Velove said afterwards. He also felt uncomfortable when Nathan bothered to accompany and accompany him to all kinds of dinners. Velove is afraid that he can't control his feelings. Because he is well aware, until this moment that love still exists for Nathanael Chandrawinata.
However, Velove was determined. He's married. And not in the least betray the sacred bond of marriage like what Darwin did to him.
"It's better if you just take me home," Velove said back softly. His eyes stared fixedly at Nathan's shady beads.
"Ve, please. Let me accompany you for dinner first. After that, I promise to take you straight home. At least, let me first make sure you really have dinner tonight."
Velove let out a long sigh. Seeing how Nathan didn't give up in the slightest to persuade him, he couldn't help but agree to the man's request.
As a result, the two of them ended up stopping first at a fairly well-known restaurant which was located on the way back to Darwin's residence. The two of them had a short dinner. Once finished, Nathan immediately took Velove to go home.

From their seats, Samuel and Randy could see how Darwin walked from outside and then entered the restaurant with an annoyed look on his face. Before returning home, the three of them did decide to meet up briefly. As usual, I wanted to just chat and eat dinner, as well as welcome the return of Randy, who had recently been working out of town.
Sitting himself in a chair, it was clear that Darwin was clucking loudly. If you pay close attention, Samuel and Randy can guess that something must have happened to their cousin.
Since childhood, both Darwin, Samuel, and also Randy have had a very close brotherly relationship. The three of them often played together, spent a lot of time exchanging stories, and consulted each other when they got into trouble. Whether it's about studies, daily life, work, and now about household life. That's why, if there is a problem between them, surely one of them can read what is going on.
"Why else, Win? You come and have a really wrinkled face. Go to the lundryer first. Ask for help ironing your face," joked Randy casually. Which made Darwin even more irritated.
"That's it, Ran. Can you just shut up for now or not?"
"You're weird! So why meet up if you want to be quiet?"
Darwin took a deep breath. The look of annoyance was still visible on his handsome face. Grabbing a glass filled with water that was available on the table, he gulped it all down until there was nothing left.
"What are you doing? After the marathon?" said Randy again. Basically a nag, the man kept asking. In fact, Darwin had previously clearly scolded him.
"What's wrong with you, Win? You don't look good when you come? Are you having a problem or something?" Samuel, who had been silent, finally opened her mouth. Lazy also saw that his cousin's face had been sullen and unclear.
"Velove is really too much!" growled Darwin began to tell what was happening to him.
"What's wrong with your wife?"
Randy was curious. He, who used to sit in front of Darwin, now shifted positions to be closer and more satisfied listening to his cousin tell stories.
"What are you two fighting about?" asked Samuel later.
"Fight again?" interjected Randy. "Not anymore, Ken. But I've noticed that there hasn't been a day of peace since the beginning of our marriage until now," joked the man, laughing mockingly.
Darwin sighed. Then after taking a deep breath. The frustration he felt at this moment completely filled his heart and mind.
"Just imagine, today he has almost driven me crazy. First, he suddenly came to the office and made an announcement from this moment on becoming a shareholder in the Khiel Group. Automatically what? He's also one of the leaders, right?"
Samuel gasped. He was surprised by this information.
"Velove becomes a shareholder? Did he buy Khiel Group's shares?"
Darwin nodded. Then he heard the man sigh.
"Yes, before getting married, when the Khiel Group was threatened with bankruptcy, Velove's name was indeed among the shareholders. However, this afternoon I confirmed again with Papa, he said that Uncle Darius deliberately bought the remaining shares because Velove had plans to open a new company in the mining sector. "
"But wouldn't it be great if he bought the remaining shares? After all, she's your wife, right? In the end, it will be yours too, Win," Samuel confirmed.
"The thing is, you think I'm going to be her husband for the rest of my life?"
"Yes, it's your fault if you get divorced," said Randy, who was even exasperated when she heard Darwin's words.
"Then, what else is it that pisses you off? That's all?" Samuel seemed to mediate. Back to focusing on Darwin's story which he believes isn't finished yet."
"Yeah, that's not all, Ken. After making the announcement, he did something fatal and in my opinion it was too much. When Velove came to the office, Vicky happened to be in my room. Velove saw it and he clearly showed his dislike."
Randy, who was listening, immediately grinned. Darwin could have blamed Velove who was angry when he saw him having an affair.
"Yes, I don't like it. She is a legal wife. I can guess that Velove and Vicky must have been involved in checks, right?"
Randy then guessed the story line that Darwin had previously told. As if memorizing the bad habits that women often do when fighting. His name is also a playboy, must be very familiar with things like this.
"Not just bickering. Do you know what Velove did to Vicky?" Darwin said while looking at his two cousins in turn.
"What's your wife doing?" Samuel was made even more curious. Judging from his attitude, I'm sure what Darwin is going to tell will be very interesting.
Meanwhile, Erwim seemed to shake his head repeatedly. Taking a breath, the man gave an explanation.
"Imagine, Velove, who usually cries when I yell, yesterday dared to grab Vicky's hair. What's even crazier, he pulled and then dragged him outside the room with the intention that maybe he wanted to be humiliated. For God's sake, Vicky was crying because of the pain."
Laughter immediately fell from Randy and Samuel's lips. Instead of being sad or feeling sorry, the two of them actually thought the incident that Darwin had told was very funny.
"I can imagine how embarrassed and angry Vicky was when she was dragged away by Velove," said Randy. "Then you won't help?"
"Already!" said Darwin. "I even had Velove kicked out of the room. But instead of leaving, he even threatened to do more things if he still saw me and Vicky being intimate. Who was he to forbid me from doing all kinds of things."
"Yes she is your lawful wife, Ferguso!" Samuel clicked. He thought, why was his cousin so stupid to ask something that had an obvious answer. "Besides, which wife likes to see her husband being intimate with another woman."
Darwin sighed. Always like this fate when talking about the household. He must be the butt of the two cousins.
"But Velove knows that I never considered him a wife. I was forced to marry him. From the start, he also knew that I love Vicky! Not with anyone else."
Randy chuckled. In fact, he is lazy to repeat the advice he often conveys to Darwin when discussing marriage as it is now.
"I don't know what's going on in your brain, Win. Given a beautiful wife, rich, clearly the weight of the seedling is heavy, it's just like a precious diamond. Eh, you instead chose a pebble that has no price," said Randy innocently. He knew his words would stir up his cousin's emotions.
"You don't have to talk much, Ran," Darwin said with a sharp look. The man's eyes narrowed disapprovingly.
"I'm talking the truth. Think about it, why is it so complicated not to just try your wedding with Velove first? It doesn't take long, just try a year or six months first to make it work well. Or, if you think it's too late, you can try three months to get to know each other. This isn't it, I haven't tried it at all, I'm already overthinking. If you weren't just my cousin, maybe I would tease Velove so he would just switch his heart to me."
"Besides, how did you know that what you wasted was actually waiting for a lot of other guys out there," continued Samuel. The narrow-eyed man complemented Randy's words.
Darwin took a deep breath. His ears really felt hot hearing the chatter that each of his cousins conveyed.
"Enough of the lecture. You'd better just eat," Darwin said when the food ordered had arrived and was served.
"Then you don't eat yourself?" Samuel immediately reprimanded Darwin when he leaned on his shoulder as if he was too lazy to do anything.
"No," Darwin shook his head. Folding his arms in front of his chest the man continued to reply. "My appetite is gone!"
Randy giggled. Ignoring Darwin's annoyance, he and Samuel chose to eat the food that was already served.
However, the two of them stopped eating when Randy accidentally saw Velove, who at that time had just entered the restaurant accompanied by a man. Suddenly, he immediately nudged Darwin's leg. Signaling by pointing his chin, asking his cousin to see what he was looking at.
"What is it?" Darwin snapped confused.
"That's your wife," Randy pointed with her chin.
Darwin and Samuel compactly looked in the direction Randy pointed. After that, the two of them actually found the figure of Velove sitting ordering food with a man.
"Isn't that the guy we met the other day?" asked Samuel as if she remembered the previous incident.
Darwin nodded. The man confirmed Samuel's words.
"If I'm not mistaken, it was expert staff who had just arrived from outside. So, Velove was assigned by his father to accompany him while in Indonesia," he explained later.
"Are you sure their relationship is only limited to work colleagues? How come they seem so close?" Randy stirred. It's great to be a provocateur so that Darwin feels hot with what he said. Randy hopes that, who knows, after this her cousin will feel jealous. "From afar, it looks cute with Velove. You really aren't afraid that your diamond-like wife will be taken by another guy? Be aware, Win. Be aware. Don't regret it."
Instead of answering, Darwin fell silent. While looking at Velove from a distance, he suddenly had a thought. Disturbed by what Randy said to him just now.
