Chapter 69

Darwin woke up with a wide smile on his lips. In the man's arms, there is the figure of Velove who is still fast asleep.

After being separated for some time and sleeping alone, last night, of course, Darwin didn't waste any time to let go of his longing for his wife, who had just returned to his residence. Darwin was even determined the following night to invite Velove to return to spend time making love. This was all done so that the two of them could soon have a baby like what their parents had hoped for.

"Honey," Velove called when he woke up from his sleep. Slowly opening her eyes, the woman looked comfortable by tightening her arms around Darwin's body again.

"Morning, honey. How did you sleep? Did you sleep well?"

Velove nodded. How could she not sleep well if all night her husband seemed to be faithful in hugging her.

"Very soundly than the previous nights."

he smiled. Lowering his face, the man kissed Velove's cheek while whispering seductively.

"Sleepy because I hugged? Or because of something else?"

Velove at that moment also chuckled a little. She knew what her husband had just meant.

"Maybe I also sleep very well because I can make love with feeling and don't have to rush like the other day."

Laughter immediately fell from Darwin's lips. As long as he lives, maybe he will never forget this daring and funny event. How he used the time he had to make love with Velove.

And what makes it funny, when Darwin is busy spending time with his wife, he almost forgets Randy's existence. His cousin dropped him off at the side of the road because he was angry when he found out that he had been ordered to wait for Darwin, who was making love with Velove.

"If you like it, we can make love again right now. It doesn't matter if I take the day off from work to accompany you all day in your room."

Darwin then straightened up, the man was indeed preparing to crawl up Velove's body. However, having not had time to do anything, Velove, who was exasperated, even deliberately pinched her husband's stomach and waist until he groaned.

"You pervert! You can't take the day off, Win. Didn't Papa ask you to come to his office to meet the Foxtails together?"

"You can still repeat it tonight. Besides, I'm not going anywhere."

Darwin laughed and nodded. His name has nurtured longing for days, of course once the game feels lacking for him. In fact, what Velove said is true. They could have repeated their previous romance in the following nights.

"Okay, since today's meeting cannot be postponed, tonight I will collect your promise to have fun."

"No problem," Velove said. "You think I'll be scared or run away?"

Darwin smiled again. Before actually inching out of bed, he hugged again tightly, then kissed Velove many times. As soon as he felt satisfied, then he hurriedly went to clean himself up.

As previously planned, today Darwin had to go to visit Darius at the Wijaya Group building. According to the schedule, he will meet with Foxtail to discuss the matter of the Khiel Group's participation, which from the beginning passed the joint venture selection.

Arriving at the Wijaya Group building, Darwin immediately stepped into the meeting room. Before actually entering, he accidentally ran into Nathan again who had just left one of the rooms.

In fact, Darwin was very lazy to engage in conversation with his wife's ex-boyfriend. But, because they already met each other, like it or not, he had to make small talk. Moreover, Nathan had already rebuked him.

"Mr. Darwin."

"Good morning, Mr. Nathan."

"Do you want to meet Pak Darius?"

"Yes, Mr. Nathan. I was asked to come here today because I have some important things to do."

"Is this about Foxtail?" guessed Nathan. From the look in his eyes, the man seemed to know a lot about what was going on regarding the selection question that Darwin had failed to win yesterday because of the sabotage carried out by his father-in-law.

"Yes, this is about Foxtail," agreed Darwin.

Nathan then smiled. Without saying much, the man instead thrust his hand towards Darwin, intending to invite a handshake.

"I congratulate Khiel Group in second place and have the right to take part in the joint venture project that Foxtail is holding. Hopefully we can both work together in the future."

I don't know where Nathan knew about this truth, one thing is for sure, Darwin was lazy to ask a lot of questions. He also preferred to accept Nathan's proffered hand while returning pleasantries.

"Thank you very much for your words, Mr. Nathan. I also hope that in the future we can work together."

Feeling that it was enough to talk with Nathan, Darwin chose to say goodbye and then continued walking towards the meeting room. After a few minutes, the awaited Foxtail came. After signing the agreement and having talked for a while, the meeting was disbanded. Before actually returning to his office, Darius had invited Darwin to stop for a while in his room.

"Because the Khiel Group has been officially selected and even took second place, it is our great hope that your Papa can work on this tender to the fullest. And most importantly, we can work together with other parties as well."

"Once in a while. So you won't be sad because you have to separate from Velove," Randy explained. The man even helped open another box of food and then handed it to Darwin. "And again, my offer from the other day is still valid, Win. If you need, just let me know."

Samuel, who had only been listening, immediately pulled her face deep. He seemed to be wondering the meaning of what Randy said just now.

"What are you talking about? Besides, what did you offer Darwin?" Samuel asked curiously.

While Darwin was enjoying his food, Randy then turned to Samuel. He also intends to explain what his cousin asked.

"We both know that Darwin failed to pass the selection that Foxtail was holding. We are also aware of what consequences Darwin will get. So, I'll just offer myself, if Darwin really separates from Velove and he needs a new partner, I ready to help find a partner.

Darwin nodded.

"That's how it should be. But, seriously, I'm not going to divorce Velove."

"How come?" asked Randy then. "Did Pak Darius change his mind?"

Darwin also explained what really happened to his two cousins. He told at length about the conspiracy between his father and his father-in-law who deliberately worked together to test his seriousness and persistence in proving that he deserved to be Velove's husband.

"Jesus Christ," Randy cried. "So, all this complexity has been carefully planned by Mr. Darius?"

Darwin nodded.

"You don't know how shocked I was when I found out about this fact. However, I'm still grateful because in the end I was able to get back together with Velove."

"I'm glad to hear this news, Win," Samuel said sincerely. Of course he was happy to see that Darwin could pass all the tests that the man's father-in-law had put him through. This reminded him of the incident when he and Luna were tested on purpose by his mother.

"I also don't expect all this, Ken," Darwin muttered. "And now, I should be grateful because all the hard work and proof that I did finally paid off."

"Oh, come on. Does that mean you won't be ordering cute aunts with me? In fact, I've prepared it to accompany you so you won't be constantly upset, Win," joked Randy to her heart's content.

Darwin then growled in annoyance. Because he was so annoyed, he scooped up some papers and then threw them at Randy so that his cousin would stop babbling casually.

"There are a lot of guys in this world, Ve. It's just that the one who leaves an impression on your heart and you really know inside and out is only Nathan, right?"

Velove nodded. He didn't deny what Darwin had just said to him. Previously, Nathan had a special place in his heart. However, as time went by, the space in her heart that she had provided for Nathan was getting smaller. And now his position has been replaced by another man, namely Darwin.

"Yes, I admit Nathan is special. But, once again he is just the past. In fact, after marrying you, I am not even interested in having an affair with him, even though there are many opportunities if I want to."

"I also no longer have a relationship with Vicky, honey. In my heart now there is only you and there will always be you alone."

"You crazy," Velove snickered with a mocking expression on her face.

"I'm serious. From the beginning of carrying out the agreement, where have I broken my promise to meet Vicky even though I actually wanted to. Yesterday, because I was unlucky and thought something emergency had happened, I broke my promise. But, for God's sake, I have nothing to do -what else with Vicky. And since touching you completely, I have promised and determined myself to be faithful to you until death."

Velove is touched. Bringing his face closer, without warning Velove again planted a deep kiss on Darwin's lips. It felt like she was now very sure that the man who was currently her husband had changed 100% and was serious about what he was saying.

"I hope we won't be separated again after this. Hopefully our household relationship will last until death picks us up," Velove whispered softly after breaking the kiss.

"I also pray the same prayer, dear," said Darwin confidently. Then not long after hugging Velove for a while, it was seen that Darwin suddenly got up from his sleep. The man looked at Velove with a worried and curious expression on his face.

"But, speaking of Vicky, on the last day before he left for Singapore, he said one thing that has bothered me to this day," said the man.

Velove stood up too. While tying up her loose hair, she gave her a probing look.

"What did Vicky say? He said he still loves you? Or does he want to be your girlfriend again? Is that so?"

Darwin then shook his head.

"No, honey. That's not what he was talking about."

"So what?"

"He said, lately there are men who come to him many times."

Velove's brow creased. It took a long time to wonder what her husband really wanted to tell her.

"So?"

"So, the man invited Vicky to work together to separate the two of us. In fact, the man also offered a high fee if Vicky agreed to the offer. And just so you know, I had my suspicions that this was all your father's or Nathan's doing. But, when I sent a photo of the two of them to Vicky, he said it wasn't the two who met him." Velove then smiled faintly. He grabbed Darwin's wrist and squeezed it gently. Her eyes locked onto Darwin's gaze.

"Nathan can't do that, Win."

"But, it wasn't Nathan who did that," Velove argued confidently.

"Why can you be sure it's not Nathan? Is it because he's your ex-boyfriend?"

Velove shook his head. Taking a deep breath, seconds later he gave an explanation why he was so sure it wasn't Nathan who did it.

"Because ...."

"Because of what?" Darwin chased curiously.

"Because the one who met Vicky was my messenger."

Immediately Darwin was stunned. What Velove said really shocked him and he couldn't say anything for a moment. Darwin even tried to convince himself of what he had just heard.
