15. Is this Hell?

"You'll be a auctioned as a labour slave, nobody wants an ugly sex toy like you." The nameless warden said as soon as Agnes stepped forward, another warden immediately dragged her roughly towards a large cell that already had over six girls in them, one thing was common to the girls in the cell, they all had scars or large birthmarks on their faces, some also had wrinkles. It was clear that beauty was an important thing to possess if any of the slaves wanted to be a sex slave.

It was the auction day and Winifred was very scared. It was the day that was going to seal her fate as a sex slave afterall, no doubt. Even she knew this, there was no need to live in denial, what she could only hope for was that she lands herself a very nice master.

They were to undergo a placement test before they get led to the auction center. Katherine had been placed under the girls to be sold as sex slaves and then it was Edith's turn.

"Brand this one. She's to remain as a prostitute slave at the brothel, she looks way too old to be sold." The same nameless warden instructed as soon as he touched Edith.

Winifred felt very sad as they kept on separating her from the friends she had just made again. Before Edith finally disappeared to wherever she was to be taken to, she mouthed a quick "goodluck" to Winifred with a sad smile that broke Winifred's heart.

'She is such a kind lady and now, she's going to have a darn hot iron placed on her neck just to have her branded like some cow!' Winifred thought angrily before she was suddenly pushed forward aggressively by a fellow slave behind her. She turned to glare at whoever it was before she then heard the warden speak.

"This one should bring a lot of fortune today. She’s definitely going to be auctioned as a sex slave, and I hope you behave yourself if you don't want to get yourself killed." He said as another warden proceeded to drag her to the cell where Katherine and six other girls were.

Soon enough, the placement test was over and they were been led towards where Winifred assumed to be the auction center. Winifred noticed that at some point, the dirty and muddy environment changed and soon, they were walking on tarred floor even though it didn't seem like they left that same building. Also, the wardens weren't gentle when it came to handling the slaves as usual. When a girl started to cry, her sniffs audible to everyone's ears, she was loudly slapped across the face without mercy.

"Let me hear as little as a whisper from you guys and you'll regret the day you were born!" The man who had slapped the girl chided.

"Enoch, do not punish them on places that are visible like that, it'll reduce their selling value which would make the chief warden very angry." Another warden said to his colleague.

"Oh, whatever. These things need to be taught some lessons sometimes, they still think they're all that." Enoch responded, adamant on showing himself.

"By the way, this batch is way better than the previous batches I've always seen, they're all so good looking and have nice bodies. Especially this one, where do you think they got this one from? She's so beautiful and fresh, I wish I could keep her." The same Enoch said as he ran his fingers over Winifred's face and body. The touch felt so scratchy and it made Winifred's skin crawl.

"Oh stop it already and go announce our arrival. We are here already, and the elites must be so tired of waiting. You know how impatient these people can get." The other warden instructed as Enoch excitedly walked out of the small tent that they were now in.

"Line up!" He instructed the girls before proceeding to hold the curtain that stood as a door between the small room they were in and the large auction room. Winifred immediately started to observe her surroundings as she stood behind two girls making her the third to be auctioned with Katherine right in front of her, the auction hall was quite large and only the stage had very bright lights while the space that had the audience was quite dark but even at that, she could see silhouettes of many people seated and whispering to one another. Her eyes shifted to a figure entering the space and she could immediately recognize him.

Weird hat. Coily mustache. Visible scar.

Sir Edward.

"Good evening, gentlemen. We are very sorry for keeping you waiting but don't worry, the batch of goods we've brought for you today will make your waiting very worthwhile, I promise. They are nothing like you've seen before, so I would like us to put that in mind when we start the bidding, they are nothing cheap. Let us start with this good..." Enoch started as he signaled for the first slave to be brought on stage.

She was roughly dragged onto the stage and Enoch immediately grabbed her.

"Look at this one, red hair, ample breasts and nice full lips. She also has a very nice voice that is sure to turn you on and give you the satisfaction you crave. Now, let's start her bidding from two hundred shillings."

"Two fifty!" A voice bidded.

"Three fifty shillings!" Another said.

"Three fifty shillings! Anyone want to bid higher? Anyone? No one? Okay! Sold to the man in blue coat. Kindly get to the backstage to collect your good."

Soon, Katherine was dragged too and led towards the stage. Winifred couldn't help but notice how scared the poor girl obviously looked, she felt sad for her but only until she remembered that she was the next one to get auctioned off, she was not in any position to pity anyone when she herself was frightened.

"Gentlemen, this one is confirmed to be pure and untouched. She has absolutely no scratch on her and is very petite and innocent. I'll let you have see for yourself..." Enoch stopped only to suddenly tear the dull fabric off Katherine's body leaving her upper body stark naked.

Howls and shouts filled the large room as the men watched with excitement as a girl was been treated inhumanely before them. Winifred was petrified, she couldn't believe her eyes, what had just happened before her eyes was enough to make her faint at the spot, although she couldn't.

Winifred had tried to be brave up till this point but now she felt tears welling at the corners of her eyes.

'I know that I was such a spoilt brat growing up, I know that I didn't appreciate all that I was given on a platter of gold, I know that I was sometimes mean, whiny and unfair but do I really deserve this? Is this hell?' Winifred thought as she watched the stage.

"Beautiful, I know. Now, who wants to be the master of this pure virgin. Let's start with five hundred shillings!"

"Five fifty!"

"Eight hundred!" Another bidded higher.

"One thousand shillings!"

"One thousand! Anyone else want to outbid them before the good gets sold out? One, two, three! Okay, she's sold to the Sir Thomas!" Enoch confirmed. "You can go and get your good backstage sir."

Katherine looked traumatized, an expression of shock was written all over her as she was roughly dragged towards the other end of the room where she was to be handed to her master who Winifred had noticed with a pipe of tobacco in his mouth as he disappeared into the room too.

Winifred barely had enough time to process anything and before she knew what was even happening, she was already on the stage too. She was shivering and jittery as she finally faced the demons that thought it was okay to make humans like them slaves. She wished she could just suddenly wake up and find herself in her room, playing her favourite songs and secretly dancing in her room.

She felt a hand roughly caressing her buttocks and as much as she tried to hold the harassment in, she just couldn't take the nonsense anymore and then before she could stop herself, she had smacked Enoch right across the face, on the auction stage, in the presence of so many people.
