19. Are you Hungry?

"Oh, where might that be?" Arthur asked further, wanting to just satisfy his curiosity.

"If not for me, your head would probably not be on your neck right now and your body would have started decaying even." Winifred responded while Arthur just stared at her in confusion.

"Seriously? I mean I saved your life!" She snapped.

"Oh, now I remember? You're the same human who broke the wolfsbane for me?"

"Yes, I'm literally your lord and savior, you should be so thankful for me and I think you can do that by simply releasing me and letting me go my way." Winifred added.

"Not to sound ungrateful but even if you weren't there to break that wolfsbane that day, someone else was sure to do it, so don't give yourself too much credit, you didn't save my life." Arthur responded, smiling.

"You sound ungrateful, no doubt..." She was interrupted by a knock on the door and Arthur left to tend to whoever it was, he then came back with a huge tray of food and even Winifred couldn't hide the fact that she was practically salivating, she suddenly felt hungry and even sat up absentmindedly.

"Are you hungry?" He asked.

"Duhh... what do you think? Am I supposed to not be hungry after I have not been fed a thing for the whole day, did you buy me just so I could be starved?" Winifred gave a sarcastic response, she knew that she shouldn't be so stubborn and rude to a man she knew nothing about yet and could decide to just kill her on the spot, but she just couldn't help it, she felt tired, pissed and annoyed at how much her life took a bad turn within a few days.

"That confirms it, you're definitely not hungry since you have the energy to keep talking to me like that." Arthur said with a wicked grin as he started to devour the food on the tray.

Winifred had too much pride and so she struggled between acting like she didn't care about the food and going on her knees to just beg him to forgive her smart mouth and let her have some of the delicious food. She chose the first option, even while her stomach growled loudly.

Arthur couldnt help the laughter that came out of his mouth full of food.

"What the hell do you even find amusing right now?" She asked, glaring at him.

"The fact that you think you can talk to me the way you do, the fact that you think I'd care if you starved yourself to death and the fact that you don't know how brutal I can be to even keep pulling so much stupid stunts like this. Arthur responded and then scoffed, "if only you knew that talking this way to me in the presence of any of my people could even get you skinned and then punished in the worst ways possible. I also can't help but wonder how you'd cope with your actual master, with the way you're going, you'll probably be a dead woman walking within a few weeks because he likes his sex slaves submissive and obedient, one smart talk from you and you'd wish you were never born."

Winifred was shocked after hearing all that he had just said, whether or not he was bluffing, she didn’t even want to find out and she was even more determined to escape the clutches of this slavery even if she might not end up going to her world.

The silence was deafening as Arthur finished all the food, licked his fingers even and then proceeded to the bathroom.

Winifred remained as calm as possible but as soon as he closed the bathroom door, she sprung onto her feet. Slowly tip-toeing, she slid her feet across the floor so that it wouldn't alert the beast who was in the shower. The task seemed harder than what she had imagined but she was quick. She opened the door, surprised that it even opened that easily and stepped out, she then ran across to the main entrance of the inn, turning around at intervals to make sure there was no one seeing her, she walked through the door, succeeding in completely avoiding being seen by the man who was already dozing off on his duty.

Before running, she looked around her in the darkness seeing that the inn was surrounded by pinewood forests and snowtipped mountains. Wind howled in the distance, adding a mournful quality to the environment, she was scared of running when she obviously had no where to go but she decided to just run anyways and she did. She ran into the woods, trying to avoid the trees as much as possible, just when she thought she had found a tree that seemed to create enough shelter for her to rest in, she was pushed against the same tree by something or someone.

When she finally regained from the dizziness she had just felt, she stood up and was shocked to see a strange man right in front of her. "And what do we have here?" He said, giving a smile that creeped Winifred out a lot.

"Are you a runaway princess or a runaway slave?" He asked further while at the same time moving even more closer to her.

Winifred was scared beyond her wits and so she couldn't reply him. She noticed that he was pale skin and even had blood running down the side of his mouth. 👋

"Judging from your face, you are a princess but judging from your outfit and dirtiness, you're obviously a slave so my final guess is that you're a slave." He said chuckling at whatever he thought he found funny.

"Well, you're about to be my own sex slave and then my meal within hours." He added, trapping Winifred further, but just as he wa0p about to do whatever it was that he had in mind, someone roughly grabbed him off her.

It was Arthur. Winifred never thought she'd ever be do glad and happy to see the man who had bought her hours ago.

"Who are you to try to steal my meal away from me?" The strange man said.

"That meal is my slave, one that I bought with so much money. I'm her master and you're the one who just tried to steal my property." Arthur responded, growling as he stood in between the man and Winifred in a protective stance.

"So, you buy slaves now, Arthur?" The man said.

"Well, you still go around hunting for human blood, Xavier?" Arthur questioned too.

"You know what they say, old habits die hard and I never loose a meal for any reason. You might have bought it but the moment you allowed a little slave slip through your fingers and run away, that was the moment that you lost it. It's mine since I found it here and not within your jurisdiction." Xavier replied, refusing to back down.

"Well, you'll have to go through me then." Arthur stood his ground, growling.

"That's not a problem at all!" Xavier said before rushing towards him at an inhumane speed, Arthur was quick to transform into a big wolf and they both started to fight eachother.

Winifred who was there watching their back and forth was surprised to see a whole human body transform into that of a big grey wolf and it caused her to loose consciousness instantly.
