20. The Alpha King.

"You bought a slave for ten thousand shillings? Are you out of your mind?" The Alpha King thundered at his eldest son who was standing at a good distance away from him.

"But Father, you told me to get the slave at any cost, I had no choice. It was a tough competition." Arthur explained.

"Shut up, you lying idiot! You think I don't have ears everywhere? You started the bidding with one thousand shillings, already giving the impression that she was worth a lot and even at that, you went ahead to bid ten thousand shillings when the previous bidding was just four thousand five hundred shillings? Do you think our generational wealth was kept just to be spent on some stupid slaves?" The Alpha King scolded again and then continued, "this is why you aren't the crown prince even though you are the eldest. You do the dumbest things without even thinking, you idiot."

Arthur gritted his teeth and balled his hands into a fist with anger. He hated the fact that his father always succeeded in making him feel and look worthless at any chance he got, he wasn't chosen as the crown prince even when he should have been and honestly, if not for the fact that Hunter, his brother was an egoistic and rude pig, he wouldn't have even cared about the arrangement. For some reason, he never cared about these titles, he never cared about a lot of things as he should which was one of the reasons why his father didn't like him.

He preferred to play a game of chess than to watch girls strip and try to please him. He preffered to be silent than to speak when not spoken to, he preffered to eat cooked meal than to unnecessarily hunt for raw meet. He also preffered to take a walk in the garden than to fight a war. These all were the opposite of what his father and brother loved to do so he had a hard time fitting in with them no matter how hard his father tried to make him.

All.he does is pretend to love these things and try so hard just to be his father's good books, but even at that, his pretence is always easy to see through.

"Father, I'm sorry. I just wanted to stop the back and forth between King Edward and I." He finally spoke, in all honesty.

"Well, that's the only reason why I'd forgive you and let you be. You showed that clown that we were bigger than he ever would be and that's a good thing for our image." The Alpha King finally gave it up, breaking into a smile.

"That aside, when do I get to see have the slave that I spent a whooping sum of ten thousand shillings on? It had better be ready to do everything to prove her worth..."

"Uhm... Father. About that, you know how you're always so angry at me for not taking an interest in sex slaves just like you and Hunter?" Arthur asked, nervously.

"Yes?"

"I have finally thought about it and I think I should try and have a sex slave." Arthur completed.

The Alpha King looked so proud and elated as he moved towards his son to tap him on the back, "That's good news! My boy is finally becoming a man, you see why I tell you to attend these auctions? They make you into a grown being. You are welcome to adulthood, my son. You are free to go get your choice of slave, for any amount."

"That's the point, father. I want the slave you asked me to get for you, the same one I spent ten thousand shillings on." Arthur said watching as his father's countenance changed yet again.

"You want Winifred? What? No, anyone but that. I've been salivating about doing the most unspeakable things to her since you went to buy her." The Alpha King responded as carefully as he could, he was obsessed about this slave and that was why he made everything that happened to her happen, just so he could finally have her, but he wasn't going to act like he would fight over a stupid human slave.

He was the alpha king, one who hated humans so much and had to set that example for his people, so it was expected of him not to have any attachment to any human, he only used them for his sexual and labour desires and that was what it was supposed to be, he couldn't show weakness if any sort for a human.

"Oh father. It's just some stupid human slave, you aught us not to have any attachments to them anyways, you can always get another one. I really want to experiment with her and I know you can just hand her over to me." Arthur said.

"Well, how about we just share her?" The Alpha King suggested, sounding desperate even when he didn't know that he was.

"What? No, father. That's just disgusting, it's not some toy that can just be shared. I want her to myself, please, father. I have not asked you for anything since I was about 10, this should be a big deal at all for you." Arthur pleaded further, annoyed and irritated at the fact that his father was so whipped by a human slave that he would even suggest sharing her.

"Ugh! Okay, fine! You can have her, just make me proud with whatever you do to her, don't be a weakling!" His father finally surrendered.

"Thank you, father."

"That reminds me, Elena was said to have been very sick for a day now, I'd like you to be a good fiancé and go visit your wife to be. You have been so distant from each other for a month now, I hope you aren't messing this alliance up for me, you know how necessary it is for us." The Alpha King said to Arthur who just rolled his eyes.

"I sure will sir." He replied, taking his leave.

Winifred woke up to a large vintage room, even the bed she was lying on felt like the one she had in the world she used to be in, the bedsheets in their whiteness were as a fresh page awaiting ink and then that was when she noticed that everything in the room was actually white, very single thing in it. She sat up and saw that she was the only dirty thing in the room and even her dirtiness had rubbed off on the white bedsheets, giving the parts she had laid onbrown stains.

"You must think you're here to be a princess or something?" A feminine voice suddenly said, startling Winifred as she quickly got off the bed as if she was found doing something wrong. She looked towards the direction of who had spoken and saw a tall lady who looked older than her staring down at her with a disgusting look on her face.

"The fact that you were bought with a huge amount of money doesn't give you any right to sleep on the prince's bed. You don't don't have any right to step foot in here." The voice said again as she walked towards the bed Winifred was laying on seconds ago.

"And who are you?" Winifred questioned, deciding that she didn't like whoever this person was.

"The head of servants in this castle. Your boss, might I add."

Winifred scoffed, "the way you walked in here criticizing me, one would think you're the queen of the castle." She taunted.

"I would learn to control my speech if I were you. This is a place were a simple word can get your head off your neck. Being proud and saucy would do you no good, nobody protects even omegas over here not to even talk of stupid and weak humans like you."

The door opened at that moment and Arthur came in, he looked to and fro between the two ladies and was quick to pick up the tension in the atmosphere between them.

"What is going on here?" He asked.
