good, better, the best ever
Chapter 3 (Becky's POV)
"No, my husband dearest you can't have me all to yourself all throughout Christmas. We were alone on our honeymoon, now it's time you share me with our friends and family."
I could see he didn't like my idea, but I don't care.
Christmas for me was always a family holiday and not something to spend locked inside your house or in Aron's case inside our bedroom.
I loved him like crazy, but I missed spending time with Ana, Rachel, and Vicky, maybe I even missed my brother a little.
Fine, I am lying, I missed him like crazy.
They were also an important part of my life just as Aron was.
But my husband just wanted me for himself.
This time around though there was no chance I would give in to his demands.
I had a little secret of my own, that I was dying to tell him.
But not before Christmas.
Right now though I was getting ready to go out with my girls.
Once again we were getting together at Vicky's place, but this time we forbade her to serve us, this evening she had to take a free evening from all the work and be just another customer.
I was curious to see how that would go over, she was almost incapable of turning off her boss mode.
So you see, my husband's "demands" not to go out didn't really go through with the wanted effect.
And here we were fighting, because he was a horny teenager these past few days, but I was adamant to get our life back on normal tracks.
Even if I wanted the same thing as he did with one part of my heart and soul.
But the other part really yearned for some company and freedom.
After all, I STILL WAS a free spirit at the soul.
After almost an hour of arguing Aron finally gave in and let me go out with my girls.
Well, under one condition.
I was not allowed to get drunk, because he planned to spend the rest of the night worshiping my body in the way only he knew.
So as I walked into Vicky's place a cheeky grin was still splitting my face almost in half.
What Aron didn't know was that I wouldn't be drinking tonight at all.
We were having a baby in 9 months, but he would have to wait for the news for a few more days because I would tell him on Christmas eve when we were surrounded by our friends and family.
I spotted my group right away and after all the hugging and kissing cheeks we finally sat down and began our weekly "meeting" as we called it.
It's been almost 2 months since our last one though so I'd say it was past time for our gathering.
Vicky was vibrating with all her excitement for Christmas time and more customers, flying high on all her successes as she should. It was amazing how far she managed to get on her own. But each time we asked her about her personal life she locked her emotions away and went silent. There was a story to be unraveled but sooner or later she would cave.
Then there was Ana. We still had no idea about her lover-boy, only his name. She too went silent each time we asked about him. But it seems like there was no progress on that line so far. But right now she was just too adorable going on and on about her business and how much me helping her out meant to her, which I already knew. She made sure to tell me every day.
And now we were at Rachel. She was practically glowing. And why was that? Well, I got my answer a second later.
"Well guys, I have some news of my own. It seems like me and Mason will get a new addition to our family in about 9 months."
I looked at my childhood best friend with shock and excitement and so so much happiness. I just received the best Christmas present ever.
"You are shitting me right now right?"
She turned my way with sadness in her eyes, but once she saw all the excitement in my eyes her emotions turned to pure confusion.
"Uhm, no I am sure no one would joke with such a thing. Why?"
Ana and Vicky, we're both looking at our exchange with frowns on their faces. I am sure they were just as confused as Rachel was with my outburst.
"You won't believe this, but it seems like me and Aron brought a new addition with us from our honeymoon."
All three looked at me with confusion still, but in the next moment, all their confusion got replaced with understanding, shock, and excitement.
First to get her voice back was Rachel and when she jumped on me to hug me I was completely unprepared, almost falling from my chair.
"Damn Becky you just made my Christmas a million times better. We will have kids together. I can't wait."
We were all hugging again and congratulating one another for all our successes and good news.
And it looks like me and Rachel had the same idea about telling guys the good news on Christmas eve.
To make it even better we made it like a game.
Did I mention I missed my girls?
Because I really did.
Spending an evening with them put my nerves back in their place.
Especially now with my first pregnancy.
But when I found out I would have my best friend with me through the whole 9 months I felt as if a huge burden was lifted off my shoulders.
Sure I knew Aron would be by my side at every turn.
But still, he was a guy.
And these three girls sitting around me right now…Well, they were my sisters.
Maybe not by blood, but they were my sisters by choice.
And I couldn't wait for Christmas to come, because I knew it would be the best one I ever had.
