Chapter 1024 The Ugly Woman
Chapter 1024: The Ugly Girl
Vincent and Hermione were delayed for a little while in the common room. When they went down to the first floor of the castle, two impatient ladies had been waiting in the corridor outside the entrance hall for a long time.
They all dressed up beautifully today and the dresses they chose were very suitable.
Daphne's skirt is short in front and long in the back, and the color is elegant pure white. She wears white strappy high heels of the same color, and the emerald jade necklace on her chest is particularly eye-catching.
Furong wore a silver backless fishtail dress, which looked particularly elegant. There was a layer of tulle outside the hem of the skirt, and the crystal decorations on the toes of her shoes could be vaguely seen.
"Sorry, we're late."
Daphne was looking at them both angrily until she noticed a tiny spot of lipstick at the corner of Vincent's mouth.
She pointed to the corner of her mouth and said, "Please, can you be more careful when you eat secretly?"
Hermione pretended not to hear and Vincent licked the corner of his mouth subconsciously.
Daphne looked defeated, "Okay, it's almost 8 o'clock, let's go there quickly."
The foyer was packed with students, all waiting for the auditorium doors to open.
When Vincent and the others arrived, Mag's voice just happened to ring out:
"Warriors please come here!"
She stood by the door, in a red tartan gown, with an indescribable wreath of thistles round the brim of her hat.
The door slowly opened and the students couldn't wait to walk into the auditorium with their dance partners.
Hermione and Daphne walked in first, arm in arm, while Vincent and Fleur stopped at the door on their own accord.
Mag nodded secretly, then turned back to look at the Great Hall.
The auditorium was beautifully decorated tonight. The ceiling reflected the starry night sky, and hundreds of beautiful wreaths made of mistletoe and ivy were hung below.
The walls were shiny and dotted with tiny specks of silver, like icing on a pudding.
The long tables disappeared, replaced by hundreds of small tables that can seat a dozen students.
The plates were gold, and so were the chairs.
Each table was covered with white velvet tablecloths and decorated with exquisite lanterns.
In the middle of the hall was a dance floor with a mirror-smooth floor, surrounded by tall Christmas trees and the armor that Filch had asked Harry and Ginny to clean yesterday.
In addition to the decorations, the Christmas tree also has golden fairies with beautiful singing voices, and the shiny silver armors are decorated with bright red roses.
The original long staff table was replaced by a large round table, and the five referees of the Triwizard Tournament sat next to it.
After everyone was seated, Mag asked the warriors and their dance partners to line up in pairs and follow her inside.
At the front of the line was Krum with a buzz cut.
His dance partner looked familiar. She seemed to be the beautiful Slytherin senior who had invited Vincent before.
Then came Draco, in a black velvet high-necked tuxedo robe, and his dance partner was Pansy, who was dressed in an especially flamboyant manner.
James was indeed right. After dressing up carefully, Pansy still looked good, but her light pink dress reminded people of that someone.
Her overall look would have been much better without the gilded lace and exaggerated bustle.
Harry and Ginny were next in line, and the applause was noticeably louder when they entered the hall.
Finally, there was Vincent and Fleur.
The two men, one in black and the other in silver, had two different styles that formed a strong visual impact, and bursts of exclamations suddenly rang out in the auditorium.
Mag led them to the judges' guest of honor table.
Dumbledore smiled happily. Karkaroff on his left glanced at Krum's dance partner and nodded with satisfaction.
Madame Maxime on the right was dressed up in a flowing lavender dress, and she also nodded with satisfaction to Vincent.
Bagman and old Barty, who were sitting nearby, were both dressed very seriously and formally. They were both very serious. I guess they must have been under some kind of pressure from Fudge.
"Please take a seat." As soon as Dumbledore finished speaking, Vincent took the initiative to pull out a chair for Fleur.
Before she sat down, she turned her head and glanced at Hermione. Seeing that she did not show any emotional dissatisfaction, she dared to sit down with peace of mind.
The agreement between them only included dancing, no excessive physical contact, and she even had to return completely to her boyfriend.
"What are you daydreaming about?" Vincent waved his hand gently in front of her eyes.
She turned her head carefully and glanced at Hermione again, "Your girlfriend said that she would fight me if you lost even a hair, so remember to be careful later."
Vincent curled his lips and said, "What should I pay attention to? This is a problem between you and her. I have done my best to say a few good words for you."
Furong thought about what was going to happen next and her little hands couldn't help but tightly grasp her skirt.
She glanced at Madame Maxime and noticed that she was talking to Dumbledore and moved a little closer to Vincent, "Are you sure we want to dance like this?"
"What else?" Vincent spread his hands helplessly, "I have three dance partners, I can't just give you special treatment."
Furong laughed dryly, "Not only am I afraid that your girlfriend will come after me, I'm even more afraid that our principal will kill me."
Vincent picked up the two glasses of champagne placed in front of him and handed her one. "Don't worry, you are a warrior of Beauxbatons, so she can't bear to kill you."
"..." Furong was completely speechless and raised the champagne to drink it in one gulp.
Her actions attracted the attention of many boys. Vincent turned around as if he had foreseen it and raised his glass to them.
Dumbledore smiled even more happily when he saw this scene. "Mr. Wayne, I heard that you have defeated countless challengers recently. It seems that they are not convinced."
Vincent took a sip of his champagne and said, "I can't help myself, Professor."
He looked at Furong, whose eyes were empty, and said, "As a qualified knight, I can only faithfully complete my mission to defeat all challengers."
Madame Maxime was also amused by him.
Those who can become principals are all smart people, and they must know why Furong invited Vincent to be her dance partner.
Except for Karkaroff, of course.
He had been under close surveillance by the Ministry of Magic during this period of time. Even at this moment, Moody's magic eyes were always on him. How could he have the mood to think about anything else?
He had no appetite the whole time, and if Krum hadn't chosen a good dance partner, he would have had a sour face the whole time.
Pansy was also unhappy.
She knew that Draco would never agree to her request if there was no one else around.
But he, who should have been interacting with her at this time, ignored her and even kept his eyes on a slender figure elsewhere.
No girl would wear all black at a Christmas ball; it's not like they're attending a funeral.
She does have a nice figure, but so what?
Pansy was absolutely certain that this little bitch was an ugly girl, the kind of ugly girl that was so outrageous that it made people want to poke their eyes out. She was a thousand times uglier than the hybrid of a swamp goblin and a troll.
