Chapter 1188 I’m the only unlucky guy left
The tense and thrilling 121 minutes finally ended. Although the plot of "Batman Forever" was a bit mediocre, the wonderful performances of Nicole Kidman and Jim Carrey added a lot to the film, making it enough to become a classic movie.
In the back row of the theater, Vincent and Hermione quietly exited hand in hand.
Maybe because they had not eaten enough for breakfast, both of them felt a little hungry.
Come out of the cinema and walk straight along the sidewalk. There is a highly rated family restaurant near the corner.
The restaurant had just opened when Vincent and Hermione came in, but there were already two tables of customers inside.
They were all wearing shirts and suits, probably office workers in a nearby office building.
The two sat down in a corner and ordered a table full of delicious food.
Around noon, Fred and George came in wearing colorful striped shirts.
One is red and the other is yellow, and from a distance they look a bit like tomato and egg noodles.
"Brother~"
Vincent put down his knife and fork and did not shy away from their passionate embrace as usual.
"I miss you so much~"
"I missed you guys too, come and sit down."
Fred noticed the almost empty plates on the table and looked at Hermione and Vincent in surprise.
"Ahem—" Hermione said calmly, "We left without having breakfast."
"Oh." Fred nodded with a half-smile.
Just as he asked the waiter for the menu, Cedric and Qiu walked into the restaurant, talking and laughing.
A moment later, Daphne and Astoria arrived.
All the friends arrived, and the waiter removed the empty plates and brought a table full of delicious food.
George grabbed a large piece of lamb chop and stuffed it into his mouth. As he ate, he said, "Hey, guess who we ran into when we went shopping in Diagon Alley the other day?"
Vincent looked up from his dessert. "Hmm—Voldemort? Or a Death Eater?"
George shook his head and nodded, swallowing the mutton in his mouth. "We ran into the Malfoys. The whole family looked very haggard. Do you think it's possible that they..."
The wands were all broken, it seemed that Voldemort and the Death Eaters had moved into Malfoy Manor.
Vincent waved his hand casually. "Who knows? Isn't he a former Death Eater? Didn't the Ministry of Magic come to investigate his family?"
Fred gestured with a large round gold coin. "My dad said the Malfoys donated a large sum of money to the Ministry of Magic. I guess all the money earned from the Nobili brand was donated."
Voldemort and his Death Eaters moved into Malfoy Manor, and some time ago they gave Vincent some foreign land as compensation in the name of a gift. It's likely that their family's treasury will be emptied soon.
However, Lucius, the cunning fox, must have a backup plan. The Malfoy family has existed for nearly a thousand years, and although it is not as powerful as the Black family, it is not far behind.
When Vincent thought of the gold galleons that were squandered, he felt inexplicably sympathetic towards Draco.
"Dude?"
"Keep eating."
After dessert, everyone started chatting.
The topic that the friends are most concerned about is of course Vincent. The big commotion caused by the Berlin and International Confederation of Wizards conferences has not subsided yet, and Fudge writes articles in the newspapers almost every day to condemn them.
It just so happened that Qiu had today's newspaper. After reading it, Vincent felt particularly calm. He even joked that he had finally made it and was able to stand on equal footing with Grindelwald, the Dark Lord of the early century.
After the joke, everyone's expressions suddenly became serious.
Leaving Voldemort and the Death Eaters alone, the Ministry of Magic under Fudge's leadership was not only completely rotten, but also extremely disgusting and unscrupulous.
Cedric sighed helplessly, "After school starts tomorrow, Umbridge will be stationed at Hogwarts as the Ministry of Magic's special education committee member. She will also be the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."
The Ministry of Magic's special education committee member?
Fred grinned. "Just to make sure Hogwarts follows those bullshit education orders."
"Oh." Vincent suddenly realized.
One of him is not enough, Fudge wants to deal with Dumbledore too.
"What about Professor Moody?"
Fred's smile instantly disappeared. "He was reported by some bastard for teaching students the Unforgivable Curses, a serious violation of that damned Education Order."
It's retroactive again, so shameless.
However, the curse cast by the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor was so bizarre that even the legendary Auror who had fought against the dark arts his entire life couldn't survive until the second year.
Vincent suddenly smirked, "Do you think the big pink toad can make it to the end of the school year?"
Even if the curse has no effect, the friends will take action.
The dozens of Aurors sent to the school two years ago were all hung upside down by them, even Kingsley and Tonks were no exception. Umbridge has no other ability except to disgust people, so it shouldn't be complicated to deal with her.
The smile on Vincent's face became more and more sinister. "I went to Hong Kong last month and bought a lot of oriental magic props."
He pulled out a metal cube with a traceless extension charm cast on it, causing the twins' eyes to pop out.
"You're indeed a good buddy!"
"What's in there? Are they all prank props?"
Vincent pushed the cube over and said, "Go back and watch it later. I'm not in school. You must be careful."
George patted his chest and assured: "Don't worry, buddy, we are professionals~"
Fred hugged the cube and grinned. "Besides, we still have Hermione here. This is George's and my last year at school, so we must have an unforgettable back-to-school dinner~"
Hermione didn't have any special reaction to being called the big sister, probably because she was used to it.
She stretched out her little hand expressionlessly and snatched the cube from Fred's arms. "An unforgettable start-of-term dinner? You'll only embarrass Professor Dumbledore by doing this."
"No, at most we can keep a low profile."
"Yeah, no one will find out."
Hermione firmly refused, "No, leave the things with me for safekeeping until we have a detailed action plan."
The twins looked at Vincent pitifully, and the latter raised his hands to show that he was helpless.
The afternoon passed quickly. Tomorrow is the first day of school, so I have to go home and rest early.
"Vincent, wait a moment." Daphne called out to Vincent who was standing up.
Hermione pointed outside the restaurant, then took Astoria's hand and left the restaurant.
After Vincent sat down again, Daphne took a deep breath and said, "Hermione told me about the Order of the Order. You know, our family has always been grateful to you and wanted to repay you."
Vincent smiled sincerely. "That's enough. Uncle Restman has earned countless gold galleons for Wayne Enterprises. If he continues to be associated with me, it will be difficult for the Greengrass family to survive in the UK."
Daphne gently stirred the freshly squeezed juice in the cup with a spoon, her lips trembling slightly, "I know what you're worried about. It's about Astoria and me, right?"
Vincent nodded slowly, his eyes as clear as a lake, pure and without impurities, "You still have a bright future, but I'm enough for the unlucky ones."
Daphne stopped stirring and pursed her lips tightly. "No, you broke our family's curse and saved Astoria. Even if it means ruining my own life, I still want to do something to help you."
"I see." Vincent shook his head. "If you really want to help me, then study hard. When you graduate, I'll definitely ask you to help me even more."
Daphne was stunned for a moment, then suddenly smiled, as if she had untied the knot in her heart. "You really are just like what Hermione said. I'm sorry, I didn't consider your feelings."
Vincent always treated her as a friend, and he did have the idea of taking advantage of her at the beginning, but he really wanted all his friends to be well.
