Chapter 959 Hagrid's Little Abacus
The second class in the morning was the Care of Magical Creatures class. Vincent and Hermione came out of the greenhouse after finishing the Herbology class and could see two figures, one tall and one short, standing outside the castle from afar.
They were all wearing Beauxbatons school uniforms. The taller one had her face covered with a scarf, and the shorter one was Gabrielle, the only one in the delegation who was not yet 17 years old.
Vincent waved to the Delacour sisters, signaling them to follow.
"Would your Professor Hagrid dislike someone sitting in on his class?"
"Believe me, he wouldn't dislike you if he didn't like anyone."
After saying that, Vincent and Hermione looked at each other mysteriously, which made the Delacour sisters look confused.
"There shouldn't be any students in the cabin yet. Let's go over and say hello to him now."
The four of them walked towards the forbidden forest.
The appearance of the Blast-Ended Skrewts made the students lose their enthusiasm for the Care of Magical Creatures class, and they arrived at Hagrid's Hut earlier than Harry and Ron.
Hagrid stayed inside the room, clumsily unwrapping the bandages around his hands.
After noticing the arrival of the four people, he smiled widely and stood up and walked outside.
"Vincent, Hermione, why are you guys here so early today?"
"Oh—" He recognized the school uniforms of the Delacour sisters and hid his hands behind his back in panic, "You brought friends here? Why didn't you tell me in advance?"
Vincent understood his thoughts immediately, "Professor Hagrid, these two are students of Beauxbatons, Fleur Delacour and Gabrielle Delacour."
Hagrid was slightly startled when he heard Fleur's name, and he also saw Vincent blinking at him.
What did it mean to address him so formally as Professor Hagrid? And what did the winking mean?
Hermione reluctantly stepped forward to explain her purpose, "Professor Hagrid, they are very interested in the blasting-tailed skrewts and would like to sit in on the Care of Magical Creatures class later. Is that possible?"
"Of course." Hagrid opened his hands happily. "The blasting-tailed skrewts have been growing very well recently. You will be shocked by their current size."
Good growth? Vincent and Hermione both had a bad feeling.
They looked back at the Delacour sisters, who were even more interested, and could only pray that nothing unexpected would happen in class later.
After a simple greeting, the four of them waited patiently outside the house.
A few minutes later, the students arrived one after another.
"Old Vin!" James trotted over and pulled Vincent aside. "Why are they here? Are you planning to start a harem?"
Vincent rolled his eyes. "Don't talk nonsense. They are here to listen."
"Eavesdropping?" James looked horrified. "You know the destructive power of those ghosts. What if they scare my goddess?"
"In fact, they are very interested in the blast-tailed skrewts."
James was dumbfounded, "No way...my goddess has such a heavy taste..."
Vincent waved his hand in front of his eyes, but when he didn't react he ignored him.
The dream was shattered, which was indeed a huge blow.
When James came to, all the Gryffindor and Slytherin students were already there.
The boys naturally looked at Furong with curiosity as she covered her face tightly with a scarf.
To be honest, it doesn't matter whether she covers her face or not, because her long silver hair tied up with a hairpin has already exposed her.
It was time for class, and Hagrid, dressed in a suit and tie, walked out of the hut. The students' expressions were as horrified as James's just now.
"Good morning, everyone!" Hagrid's hair and beard were obviously well-groomed.
"I'm sure you've all seen that there are two Beauxbatons students here to sit in on this class today. I hope you can be more friendly."
"Tsk—" Draco made a sour face, "Hey you, don't hide, I know you are a warrior of Beauxbatons."
Vincent turned and looked over with a smile.
It's only been one night and it's already swollen again. This little golden retriever really needs to be punished.
Draco ignored his gaze and raised his chin high, "You feel guilty, right? You are hiding your head and showing your face -"
"Malfoy!" Hagrid roared, striding over and looking down at him. "I said, I want you to be more friendly!"
Draco was a little confused by the yelling, and his eyes happened to see the bulging sleeves of his suit.
What happened to this stupid guy today? How dare he treat him like this?
"Malfoy! Did you hear that?"
A man of insight is a wise man. Draco said "hmm" with an unhappy look on his face.
Vincent and Hermione both gave Hagrid a thumbs up.
Only then did Hagrid understand what the blink just now meant.
But just by looking at the suit he was wearing, you could tell that he actually knew something, he was just a little slow.
If you behave well in front of the students at Beauxbatons, and they tell Madame Maxime about it when they go back, her impression of you will go up significantly.
Hagrid smiled apologetically at the Delacour sisters, then turned to the students.
"Okay, everyone, wait for me here for a moment."
Not long after, he brought a large pile of wooden boxes from the shack next to the cabin, each box containing a huge blasting-tailed skrewt.
"Crackling" sounds continued to be heard from inside, and the Delacour sisters stretched their necks curiously, trying to see what the blasting-tailed skrewt looked like.
Each one was three feet long, with a thick, shiny gray-white armor-like shell, and looked like a cross between a giant scorpion and an elongated crab.
It is indeed as unique as Vincent said, and it really does spray forward.
Gabrielle's big eyes sparkled, "Sister, they are so cute and ugly."
"Yes." Although the expression on Furong's face could not be seen clearly, her eyes did not reveal disgust, and seemed to show a little excitement.
Hagrid placed the boxes on the ground one by one. "After my observations over this period of time, I finally discovered why the blast-tailed skrewts kill each other."
He opened his suit jacket and pulled out a large bundle of rope. "Because they have too much energy, to solve this problem, you need to tie them up with ropes and take them for a walk."
"Oh no——" the students wailed.
"You want me to take this thing for a walk?" Draco stared at one of the boxes with disgust. "Where should we tie the rope to? To its spines? To its explosive tail? Or to its suction cups?"
"In the middle," said Hagrid, demonstrating. "Um - I'm afraid you'll need to put on your dragonhide gloves as an extra precaution."
With his right hand, he pressed down a skrewt that was about the size of his palm, and with his left hand, he tied it tightly with a rope that he had prepared in advance.
“See, isn’t it simple?”
Except for Vincent and Hermione who were fully confident in themselves, and the Delacour sisters who were full of expectations, the rest of the students looked desperate as if the sky was falling.
