Chapter 1510: Efforts for the Country
The king lowered his head in horror, looking at the sharp spikes that pierced his body. His mouth opened wide, but he couldn't say a word before he fell to the ground and died.
"Brother Mickey!" "Brother Milan!" The surviving royal family members looked at the two princes who were still breathing, their voices changed with nervousness. They cried and shouted, and their cries were filled with endless grief and despair.
Mori seemed disturbed by the crying and scratched his ears impatiently. "You are so noisy." After saying this, he gently waved his hand. In an instant, dozens of sharp spikes poured out from the ground like raindrops, ruthlessly slaughtering the entire royal family.
The ground was stained red with blood, and the wailing gradually subsided. Only Mino, who had been cursing non-stop, was left, lying on the ground alone and helpless.
The royal palace was filled with the pungent smell of blood and despair.
"You devil!" Mino's hoarse roar was like a lightning that cuts through the haze, carrying endless grief and hatred.
Her body was covered in the blood of her loved ones, and the bright red color was like a glaring scar, deeply imprinted on her trembling body.
She raised her hand tremblingly, her fingers bent and deformed by anger and fear, as if trying to grasp the last glimmer of hope, but she scratched in vain at the air.
Seeing this, Mori raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a disdainful sneer. He snorted coldly, his voice like the cold wind blowing from an ice cellar, icy and biting. "What are you pretending for?"
He said this contemptuously, his eyes full of ridicule and disdain, as if he was looking at a ridiculous clown.
"We are demons, what about you?" Mori's words were like a sharp dagger, piercing Mino's heart.
His eyes became sharp, like a hawk, staring at Mino closely, not missing any subtle changes in expression on her face.
"Don't you know what this country relies on to survive?" Mori's words were like a blockbuster bomb, exploding in Mino's ears, causing her face to change instantly. Her originally pale face became even more bloodless, like a piece of wind-dried paper.
"What are you talking about!" Mino widened her eyes, her eyes full of shock and panic. She tried to use anger to cover up her inner fear, but her voice trembled involuntarily.
Before she could finish, Morrie continued, his voice low and powerful, as if it was a judgment from hell.
"Most of the men and women in this country have been sold by you, right?"
Mori's gaze was like a sharp sword, piercing through Mino's disguise and seeing straight into the dark corner of her heart.
Mino was suddenly shocked. Her body shook violently and her face became gloomy. Sometimes it was red like a ripe apple, and sometimes it was white like winter frost and snow.
"You bullshit!"
A trace of panic flashed across her eyes, and then she pretended to be calm, trying to cover up her guilt with anger.
"You just said that the navy would avenge you. Is it because if you were killed, the navy would lack a place to resupply its troops?"
Mori's words came like a rapid-fire barrage, one after another, leaving Mino no time to think.
"How do you know all this!" Mino's voice was filled with despair and unwillingness, and the righteous light on her face just disappeared in an instant.
Her face was now gloomy, completely different from the girl who had a righteous look on her face and was full of anticipation for the navy's revenge. She seemed like a soul swallowed by darkness.
Seeing this, Mori curled up the corner of his mouth into a bloodthirsty sneer, that smile was like a demon crawling out of the abyss, revealing endless chill.
"Not only that, I also know that all the people in that small town are slave traders." His voice was low and cold, like a curse from hell. Every word was like an ice-cold dagger, piercing Mino's already broken heart.
"Although those guys have nothing to do with us, there's nothing we can do. My elder sister Robin hates people like you." Mori said, with a hint of ruthlessness in his eyes.
"She's coming soon, and I don't want you guys to upset her."
"So, die." Mori's words were like the sentence of the god of death, cold and ruthless.
The sound echoed in the empty ruins, as if it was the cry of countless wronged souls, making Mino's soul tremble.
"No! I have money! I can buy..." Mino widened her eyes, her eyes full of fear and despair. She shouted at the top of her lungs, trying to use money to exchange for her humble life.
Her body was shaking violently with extreme fear, and her hands were scratching at the air, as if trying to grab the last straw.
However, what responded to her was a creepy "Puchi!!!"
Before Mino could finish his words, his body was instantly pierced by countless sharp spines and turned into a hedgehog.
The spikes were like claws from hell, mercilessly piercing her body. Blood gushed out like a fountain, staining the surrounding ground red.
Mori looked at her coldly, without a trace of pity in his eyes.
"That's all my money. You bastard, you're trying to take my money. You deserve to die."
His voice was full of disgust for greed and disregard for life.
In his eyes, Mino was just a poor creature who tried to escape punishment by using money, and her death was inevitable.
After saying this, the ground seemed to be given life and became active.
The corpses on the ground seemed to be pulled by an invisible big hand and slowly sank.
Soon, the ground became clean, as if no bloody killing had ever taken place here. No one could tell that someone had just died here. Only dead silence and endless darkness were left.
