Chapter 1532 I have money
"Wait." The man on the right said expressionlessly, then turned and walked out of the cabin, as if to get food.
The footsteps gradually faded away, leaving only Wapol in the cabin staring at the door.
Wapol looked at the man's departing back, his heart in turmoil.
He didn't know what the food would be like, a delicious meal or inedible leftovers.
However, at this moment, as long as he had something to eat, he was really starving.
He began to recall in his mind the delicious food he had eaten in the past, all kinds of delicacies from land and sea, as if those delicacies were right in front of him.
Thinking about it, his mouth was almost watering. But the reality was that he was tied up in this cold cabin, without even freedom, let alone enjoying delicious food.
After a while, the man on the right came back with a tray.
On the tray was a somewhat worn bowl containing some stale-looking bread and a bowl of murky water.
"Eat." The man put the tray in front of Wapol and said coldly.
Wapol looked at the food in front of him and felt a little disappointed, but he couldn't care less at this moment.
He twisted his body hard to get closer to the tray, but the ropes were too tight and he couldn't reach it.
"Can you help me untie it? I can't reach it." Wapol said pitifully.
"Don't push your luck!" The man on the left glared at Wapol and said viciously.
Wapol shuddered with fear and dared not speak any more.
He could only stare at the food in front of him but couldn't put it into his mouth. He was so anxious, like an ant on a hot pan.
At this moment, the ship suddenly shook violently, and the bread and water on the tray spilled all over the floor.
Wapol looked at the food on the ground, grimacing with heartache, but he could do nothing about it.
He could only watch as the two men cleaned up the things on the floor and took the tray away.
"Please give me some more food, please." Wapol said in a crying voice, his voice full of despair.
However, the two men ignored him and turned and walked out of the cabin, leaving Wapol alone in the cabin, staring at the empty cabin in a daze, his heart filled with helplessness and fear.
He didn't know what his fate would be, nor when he would be free again.
After another day, Wapol felt that his body had been hollowed out by hunger. Hallucinations appeared in front of his eyes from time to time, as if he could see his father waving at him.
Just as his consciousness was gradually becoming blurred, there was a sudden "creak" and the cabin door was opened.
A tall man walked in, his footsteps sounded particularly loud in the silent cabin.
Wapol seemed to have found a life-saving straw, and he quickly used all his strength to move forward. Because he was tightly locked with the iron chain, every movement made a rattling sound.
"Brother, I really do have money." Wapol's eyes sparkled with hope, his voice filled with eagerness and flattery. "You may not know how much I have, but if you tell me, I can definitely give it to you."
He thought to himself that kidnapping situations like this usually require money, and as long as it can be solved with money, it's not a big deal.
"Are you rich?" The man stopped and looked at Wapol up and down with a hint of doubt on his lips.
"As much as I don't want to say this, I'm very rich!" Wapol raised his head with a proud look on his face. He remembered that his Wapol Group was a world-class business empire and he himself was a super-rich man, so he had the confidence to do so.
"Then... I want one billion Baileys." The man was silent for a moment and slowly spit out a number.
"One billion?!" Wapol exclaimed in surprise, his voice echoing in the cabin. However, this surprise was only short-lived. He thought about it and realized that the price was much lower than he expected.
The man frowned, a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes, "What's wrong? Didn't you say you were rich?"
"Ten billion is not enough! I'll give you two billion!" Wapol said with a relaxed look, as if two billion was just a small amount to him.
He originally thought that this guy would ask for 10 billion, but he didn't expect him to ask for only 1 billion. In his eyes, 1 billion Baileys was not money at all. It would cost him tens of billions to buy a mine.
"Two billion? It seems you are really rich." The man was a little moved. Two billion Baileys were enough for three generations of his family to spend. The temptation was too great.
"Of course..." Wapol was about to continue bragging about his wealth, trying to convince the man to let him go, "Let me go, and come back with me to get the money."
The man was a little shaken, and a hint of greed and hesitation flashed in his eyes.
He stood there, wondering if this was a good deal.
At this moment, another man came in with food, breaking the short silence. "Eat." He put two loaves of bread and a few apples in front of Wapol.
Wapol looked down and his stomach growled. He said helplessly, "Brother, I can't reach it."
As he spoke, the sound of iron chains rattling behind him seemed to be telling of his helplessness.
"What a hassle." The man frowned and picked up the bread and apple on the ground impatiently.
"Open your mouth." The man said coldly.
"Ah!" Wapol quickly opened his mouth and stared at the food in the man's hand, as if it was the most precious thing in the world.
The man threw the food in with a rather rough motion. Wapol did not care and chewed it with big mouthfuls, like a starving animal.
The dryness of the bread and the sourness of the apple mixed in his mouth, but he ate it with relish, as if it were a delicacy in the world.
While Wapol was chewing his food voraciously, he would occasionally secretly cast a look for help at one of the men. His eyes were full of pleading and expectation, as if silently shouting, "Save me, let me go!"
However, his little trick was soon discovered. The man who brought the food frowned, glared at Wapol fiercely, and shouted, "What are you doing?"
