Chapter 526 Valley of the Gods: Entering Alone
……
New World, G6 Naval Base.
In the base director's office.
"Lieutenant General Tsuru, headquarters urgently summons you to set sail immediately for Marineford."
The worried crane sat on the sofa behind the desk, staring in fear at the Den Den Mushi that had just finished contacting Arthur.
"Understood," she replied to the soldier outside who was relaying the order.
On second thought, isn't that a bit too composed?
Arthur, the Ice Swordsman, was just a young man who had only recently set sail and had some reputation but was not enough to threaten the order.
Even if he wanted to kill a Celestial Dragon, is that realistic?
The God Valley event had plenty of elite naval personnel as guards, as well as the Five Elders and all members of the Knights of God participating.
“It seems my worries were unnecessary.” She put aside her shock, got up and walked to the door. “There are many things that even I don’t quite understand. What exactly is going to happen in the Valley of the Gods in the West Sea? Mobilizing so many troops and sending so many world nobles down to the mortal realm.”
……
West Sea - Valley of the Gods.
The sea was blockaded by naval warships, isolating fishermen, civilians, and even trading ships.
Some ships attempted to ignore the blockade and force their way in, but were met with a annihilation operation, with no survivors.
"The prison ship is docking!!" a soldier shouted from the southern coast.
Everyone made way for it, allowing a ship filled with slaves—which was actually a hunting rabbit prepared by the Celestial Dragons for their activities in the mortal realm.
They gain points by slaughtering humans to win among various families, thereby gaining and enhancing their prestige and competitiveness within the Celestial Dragon family.
A large number of Celestial Dragons gathered at the dock, forming several rows and opening a walkway to look at the huge prison ship.
The ironclad steel fortress lowered its gangway, and a woman dressed in a cheongsam, with full lips and meticulous grooming, was escorted down by guards.
"It's a first-class treasure!!"
"That Amazonian Empress Lily who has captivated countless hearts!!"
The Celestial Dragons cheered, their eyes losing all reason and turning into heart shapes as they shouted.
Immediately afterwards, another girl, carefully dressed up, with eyes full of fear and a youthful face, was escorted out.
"It's a second-grade rare item!!"
Gion's breathing was very rapid, each breath trembling as she glanced down at the Celestial Dragons below, who looked like wolves and tigers, wanting to devour her.
Each of them wore a respirator that looked like a fish tank on their head, and their faces were full of longing as they dressed in spacesuits.
Amidst the grand cheers on the island, the pungent smell of rust reached her sensitive sense of smell.
This made her vaguely realize that this seemingly grand feast concealed endless danger.
The two stunning beauties were being escorted to the central stage of the God Valley event, where they were to announce this treasure to all the Celestial Dragon family members who were participating.
Tier 3 treasure chests are filled with Devil Fruits and are escorted to the event venue by elite CP agents.
The rest were countless slaves brought off the prison ships, ready to face their slaughter.
The country's indigenous inhabitants also became targets of massacre.
The noblewomen of the kingdom were forcibly taken as wives and concubines by the Celestial Dragons. The noblemen of the kingdom had already been slaughtered, leaving only cold corpses.
Inside God Valley, countless CP intelligence agents dressed in black suits are preparing for a massacre.
The streets were full of government personnel.
Commoners, soldiers, and nobles alike were all lambs to the slaughter under the absolute suppression of force.
“Cooper.” (This is Hell.) From a secluded spot near the clouds, Cooper called out, his gaze sweeping solemnly over the entire island.
The screams and wails of those outside the franchise were everywhere, unlike the Hive on Pirate Island where duels were fought for fame.
Human life here has become like livestock about to be eaten; Cooper flies into the clouds to avoid being discovered.
On the island, outside the town of God Valley, in a desolate grassland in the west.
Many escaped slaves gathered in a secluded, rocky area, discussing their battle strategy to escape this hell on earth.
A blue-haired slave wearing only underwear was saying something inspiring to the other slaves.
Next to him was a small girl with pink hair, fiddling with a Den Den Mushi (a type of electric telephone) to send messages to the outside world.
Inside the town.
Above a rock pillar, the Five Elders, Saint Satan, sat on a sofa, overseeing the preparations for the event below.
"Is that guy a slave?" He noticed a young man with bandages wrapped around his hands examining the slaves in the cages on the street below, seemingly searching for something.
Dressed simply, with no target pattern on his back, and not even a breath of life, he swaggered down the street, ignored by the staff around him.
"He's carrying a weapon on his waist, is he some kind of specially recruited combatant?" Satan asked the two naval guards beside him.
“Uh…the Navy doesn’t have such a person, Saint Satan.”
His gaze was already fixed on Arthur, who was searching for Gion below.
"Send men to capture him; something's wrong with that guy," Saint Satan ordered immediately upon receiving the news.
The person next to him took out a Den Den Mushi and immediately contacted the CP intelligence personnel below.
……
"Where? Hey, do you know which cage Gion is kept in?"
Arthur, who was looking around, reached out and patted the shoulder of a man in a black suit who was holding a Den Den Mushi and asked him a question.
The CP personnel had just connected with the naval guard next to Satan Saint when he turned around and saw...
"Gion?" Seeing that the other person didn't seem like a slave and had an extraordinary air about him, he replied naturally, "Who?"
Arthur realized the other person didn't know Gion's name, so he asked in a different way, "It's that level two rare item."
"Oh! A level two rare item! It's right behind the main stage, heavily guarded. Didn't you know?" CP Intelligence responded to Arthur's question with a smile.
"You're such a good person." Arthur smiled at him with narrowed eyes, then turned and walked towards the main stage.
The man was taken aback by these words, but without thinking much of it, he turned to face the Den Den Mushi in his hand.
"What were you talking about with that guy? Something's definitely wrong with him. Send men to arrest him!"
"Whom did you catch?"
"It's the young man you were just talking to, the one with bandages wrapped around his hands!"
Upon hearing this, the man immediately turned around and looked at Arthur.
Upon discovering that the other party had already gone far away and arrived at the stage where the Celestial Dragons were gathered, he was startled.
Below the stage, many Celestial Dragons were cheering and celebrating for the Knights of God, Korin.
To celebrate his victory over the king, many female Celestial Dragons became his devoted fans.
Garin, who was enjoying the cheers, brushed past Arthur as he walked towards him.
In that instant, the joy on his face vanished, and he immediately turned to look at Arthur beside him, his brows furrowed as he thought, "Who is this guy?"
Arthur stopped and looked up at him, asking, "Excuse me, where are the level two rare items kept?"
For a moment, time seemed to stand still.
The two locked eyes, and everyone around them turned their attention to them.
No one present recognized Arthur, nor did anyone know that Arthur had only come to steal a few fruits.
The situation changed drastically the moment they learned that the Celestial Dragons had captured Gion as a prize.
Right or wrong, reason, or planning—none of it matters anymore.
