Chapter 1661 A Monster with Its Brain Leaking Out
Akaza's battle with Roger Cheney has become a fierce stalemate, and he is unable to break free for the time being.
Shiryu of the Rain was tightly entangled by Claire's high-speed sword, and in the midst of the flashing blades, he could hardly protect himself.
The Poison Dragon Cobra was severely injured by Admiral Kizaru's attack and was now lying on the ground, most of his body charred black. He could barely stand up and had lost his fighting ability.
A group of valiant naval soldiers quickly surrounded and sealed off the area where Cobra was located. Although Cobra could still spew deadly poisonous mist from his mouth, preventing the navy from getting too close, the well-trained soldiers were already prepared.
"Cast the net, cover it!"
At the officer's command, several specially made nets gleaming with a cold metallic light were thrown out from different directions, precisely covering the massive dragon body of Kebra.
This is no ordinary fishing net; the netting is exceptionally strong and has a subtle, dark luster.
Kebra roared, his remaining claws trying to tear apart the iron netting. The moment his skin touched the netting, a strong sense of weakness instantly swept over his body.
“This is Seastone,” Kebula’s single eye flashed with shock and anger.
It even contains seastone, which, although its purity may not be high, is enough to significantly suppress ability users.
"Damn it, I refuse to accept this!" he roared in despair, struggling desperately, but his strength was rapidly draining away like a flood.
Weakened by both the Seastone and his severe injuries, the dragon form he barely maintained began to fade uncontrollably; his scales retracted, his claws reverted to human hands, and his fleshy wings vanished...
In just a few breaths, the imposing poisonous dragon was gone, replaced by a wiry man whose body was charred black, his skin torn open, and most of his body severely burned.
He lay sprawled beneath layers of iron netting, unable to move, only able to let out weak breaths and unwilling growls; clearly, he had completely lost his fighting ability.
High in the sky, Blackbeard Teach took in the whole scene, his face darkening.
One of his subordinates was entangled, another was suppressed, and yet another was captured alive, clearly hindering his advance.
"What a bunch of useless trash, can't even break through to the next level?"
A cold, dry laugh rang out beside Teach; it was time to share the captain's burdens.
The young man, whose entire body was covered in pale, severed hands and whose bizarre appearance was so gruesome it sent chills down one's spine, slowly took a step forward.
His only exposed, bloodshot eyes greedily and excitedly scanned the chaotic battlefield below, a cruel smile spreading across his lips.
Shigaraki Tomura's voice was hoarse, tinged with a morbid pleasure, "Let me give it a try."
He raised his two arms, which were covered with countless severed hands, and slowly opened them towards the sky, as if to embrace something, or as if to welcome the arrival of some being.
"Let these pathetic humans feel true despair," Shigaraki Tomura's words were filled with malice.
The moment the words fell, a thick, dark mist surged forth from behind Shigaraki Tomura without warning, emanating an unsettling aura of decay as it churned.
Even more bizarrely, the black mist did not spread after it appeared, but instead quickly split into dozens of dark tunnel exits, each several meters in diameter and bottomless, in the blink of an eye.
These tunnel exits, suspended in mid-air and arranged haphazardly, resemble gateways to an unknown abyss, emanating a chilling spatial fluctuation.
“Come out, my most beloved masterpieces,” Shigaraki Tomura chuckled, his voice filled with the pride of a creator.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Heavy, uniform footsteps echoed from the dark passageways. The next moment, tall, imposing figures, exuding an aura of savagery and chaos, stepped out of the passageways with stiff yet powerful strides.
It was a monster that resembled a human but was clearly not human.
They are generally over five meters tall, with bulging muscles all over their bodies and unnaturally black skin, as if they have been soaked in thick ink.
Their heads are extremely strange, lacking normal human facial features, and their distorted outlines resemble ancient dinosaurs.
Most horrifyingly, their brain tissue was left unprotected by the skull, exposed naked to the air, emitting an indescribable stench.
This is the Nomu, a cyborg bio-weapon created by Shigaraki Tomura using some kind of dark biotechnology.
They have no intelligence, cannot communicate with each other, and blindly obey the commands of the sole core controller, the Dead Hand Wooden Hanging.
"Go, my Mumu," Shigaraki Tomura raised his hand, pointing directly at the towering execution platform in the distance.
The voice suddenly turned shrill: "Go to that execution platform and bring back the son of the Pirate King!"
"Roar--!"
Hundreds of heads simultaneously let out a low roar, and in the next instant, they leaped down from the exit of the suspended dark tunnel without hesitation, like a black waterfall, crashing into the already chaotic battlefield below.
The earth trembled, but these monsters felt no pain or fear whatsoever, and began to rampage as soon as they landed.
Their massive bodies are their best weapons; with a casual swing of their thick arms, they can smash and flatten any naval soldiers or unfortunate pirates who block their way, like rag dolls.
The Nobodies' physical abilities are comparable to those of the Little Giants; ordinary weapons and cannons cannot defeat them. Ordinary people without a powerful aura simply cannot handle these monsters.
They don't need to communicate with each other; they just need to blend into the crowd and rush forward with the same goal.
Whether it's the navy or pirates, anyone who stands in their way is subjected to indiscriminate and frenzied attacks.
"What kind of monster is this?" A naval rear admiral stared in horror at a creature that had smashed a standard naval longsword with a single punch, exclaiming in disbelief.
"Which damn lab did you escape from?" Another naval officer, his face ashen, cursed as he ordered his soldiers to retreat and form a defensive line.
"Could they have been human before they were alive?" A naval soldier looked at the exposed brain and twisted body of the Nomu and couldn't help but stammer, feeling a strong sense of unease.
The newly formed Blackbeard Pirates always manage to bring surprises: first, there's Teach, who steals a Devil Fruit; then, the traitorous poison swordsman; the immortal martial artist; and the mysterious man with a severed hand.
Now it's this army of hundreds of terrifying, mutated monsters, fearless of death and devoid of reason.
The composition and methods of this pirate crew have completely transcended the scope of traditional pirates; they are more like a destructive legion that brings together various dangerous outcasts and dark technologies.
The addition of hundreds of idiots to the battlefield instantly pushed the already chaotic situation into an even more insane and bloody abyss.
Like sharp knives, they brutally tore through the navy's defenses and charged headlong toward the execution platform.
The pressure on the Navy suddenly increased dramatically.
