Chapter 28: Now I Am In Trouble

A few hours later she thinks she wakes up to see Carlos staring at her. Really, she is just having another dream where he is sitting on the end of the bed by her. “I missed you, but I see that you didn’t.” He points to Julian. “Really. That is three including me. I just came to see you. I still love you. Even though you have been cheating on me with not one but two men.” He looks down at his hands and then sits silently.

“Where’s the neighbor at? Does he know about this guy? I guess you have been remarkably busy.” He says after a long silence. She walks into the bathroom and Carlos follows her.

“First of all, I told you I didn’t want to see you anymore. Why is this any of your business? I am in a very confusing situation right now. I do not need you popping in whenever you feel like it. Don’t you dare think of possessing anybody again.” She looks at him accusingly.

“I just need you to leave. I have enough to think about right now. Just please go wherever you disappear to. Now.” She demands. He stares at her longingly, because he just wants to touch her and make love to her. But she will not let him, so he disappears. She returns to bed in her dream, then wakes up before turning over and falling back to sleep.

In the morning, they both wake up and see Lilly staring at them from the side of the bed. “Mom, why are you naked?” Kelly looks down and notices that the covers have almost completely slid off the bed. They both struggle to grab whatever covers are still on the bed to hide under. Samantha walks by and notices the door open with Lilly gawking at them.

“Lilly, get out of there and give them some privacy for crying out loud.” Samantha yells.

“You know what grownups do sometimes at night. I know you learned about it in school.” She blushes.

“Mom, you’re blushing because you had sex with Julian! So that is what Grayson did here with you? I thought he just slept over. I must tell Jaime about this.” Lilly runs out of the room and calls her sister at her friend’s house. They sit up and look at each other. The shame in the room is thicker than pudding as she looks over at him.

Samantha shuts the door and runs after Lilly. “Oh, my! I didn’t know that was coming. Although I should have, she often just walks in. I probably should have locked the door last night. Sorry.” She still blushing climbs out of bed to get dressed.

“Don’t worry about it. Besides it’s perfectly natural, I’m in love with you.” He grabs her and kisses her on the neck softly.

He puts his pants on and they meet Samantha and Lilly in the kitchen. “Hey, can I make breakfast? Does anyone mind?” He looks at Kelly.

“Go ahead, we usually just eat cereal in the morning around here.” She gets out the frying pan for him and shows him where the bread is. He proceeds to make omelets, bacon, and toast.

“Everyone hungry?” He asks as he plates up breakfast. She takes the plates and puts them on the table, then they all sit down and enjoy the meal.

When they are done eating Lilly turns to Julian, “I loved it! It was so yummy.” She gives him a hug and runs into her bedroom.

The doorbell rings and Samantha answers it as Kelly and Julian clean up the table. Samantha clears her throat, “Kelly, Grayson is here.” They both walk into the kitchen. Kelly and Julian look at each other quickly, then she looks at Grayson. He has an incredibly uncomfortable look on his face.

“Hey, I wanted to say hi. I also wanted to ask if you guys wanted to go to the beach with me today. However, I can see you are busy. Sorry for interrupting.” He apologizes looking very disheartened. “I’m going to go.”

“No, wait a minute. Can I talk to you outside?” She looks at him as she walks towards him. She takes his hand and pulls him outside as she shuts the door.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t want you to find out this way. I certainly did not intend this. He was just supposed to spend some time yesterday with the kids. Not the night. I don’t know what happened.”

“Well, obviously you guys had more fun than you planned. Kelly, I do not know what to do. Have I lost you? Do you love him?” He asks.

She puts her hands on his chest, “I am so confused.” She kisses his cheek.

“Well, I really should go home now.” He lovingly looks at her and then lets her go. As he walks back to his house, she watches him.

She returns to the kitchen where Julian is washing the dishes. “Hey, how did that go?” He glances at her.

“To be expected. I just hope I didn’t hurt his feelings too much.” She responds while drying the dishes and putting them away.

“Well, I could have just gone home if you guys wanted to go to the beach with him. Really.” He caresses her hand. "After all, you probably want to keep him as a friend."

“No, it’s o.k. It would have been so awkward to spend the day with him. Specially, after this.” She looks away.

He cups her face in his hand and kisses her. Julian's eyes draw her in as he kisses her again deeply. Samantha walks in and tries to back out before being noticed. Kelly sees her out of the corner of her eye, “Samantha, you don’t have to leave. We were just finishing up the dishes.”

She gestures for Samantha to go into the living room. “So, what did you say to Grayson, anyway? He didn’t seem too terribly happy.” Samantha wonders.

“Oh, I just explained that I didn’t mean for this to happen. That Julian was just coming over to spend some time with the kids, not to spend the night. It just happened.” Kelly looks at her.

Julian walks over to them and kisses Kelly on the cheek. “Are you having fun?”

She glances at him, “Why don’t we get cleaned up and I will take you back to your house. O.K.?”

“Sounds good.” He accepts a towel and robe from her as he enters the bathroom. After they both take a shower and get dressed, she drives him back home. He admires her while she drives, her sun dress shimmering in the sun. It is almost thin enough that he can see right through it as he sees the outlines of her bra and fights touching her.

They arrive at the house and park. “Do you have something to do today, or would you like to come in?” He asks while their sitting in the car.

“I should probably go home. I have not spent very much time with my kids alone. Between the two of you, my time is getting booked up. I’ll talk to you maybe tomorrow or something. O.k.?”

He kisses her softly, “I will miss you, but maybe I will get some songs wrote for the next album. I will call tomorrow and see what you’re up to.” He puts his arm around her and runs his fingers through her hair. Julian's finger runs over her lip and then he kisses her deeply, not wanting to let her go. Eventually he does and disappears into his house.

When Kelly gets home, Samantha is sitting on the couch watching T.V. “Hey, you. I finally have gotten rid of the men for the day. There has been too much testosterone running around here lately.” She relays to Samantha.

“So, tell me. Is he as good in bed as he looks? He is hot! Tell me what tattoos I didn’t see and where. Not to mention, those eyes.” Samantha feels enchanted with Julian.

Kelly looks at her, “He is hot, isn’t he? Every time I look into his eyes, I get hotter. Matter of fact, everything about him makes me hot. Yes, the tattoos keep going. He has a dragon that starts on his chest and ends right below his hip. There is a couple on his pelvis and one on his ass. It’s a spider in a web.”

“I was bad, I kissed every tattoo and traced them with my tongue. It drove him crazy!” She admits to Samantha.

“Dear god, I bet he screwed you all night.” Samantha looked at her with a smirk on her face.

“That was two days ago. Last night, he just kept going. I am only glad that you guys didn’t hear us. I think I came four times. Let us just say that we both took turns and then he got hard again. I ended up on top riding him. It was the stuff you make romance novels out of.” Kelly becomes breathless just thinking about it.

“That is so hot. If you get sick of him, I want you to set us up. He is exactly my type. I love guys with tattoos, they are so bad. Not to mention, really hot in bed.” Samantha gets flushed and must go grab a drink out of the frig.

Lilly comes running out of her room. “Where’s Julian?”

“Oh, honey I took him home.” She looks at her. “I want to spend some time with you girls today. Speaking of that, when is Jaime coming home?”

Samantha speaks up, “Kimmy’s father is dropping her off in about an hour.”

“O.k., when Jaime gets home why don’t we go to the beach like Grayson suggested. Just the family. Let’s watch some T.V. till she gets here.” Kelly sits back and changes the channel.

When Kimmy’s dad pulls in the driveway, Jaime jumps out of the car and runs in the house. She gives Kelly a dirty look on the way in. Kimmy and her dad appear from the vehicle. She runs inside after Jaime and the father walks inside and stands next to Kelly waiting for her. “Hey, I wondered if you ever wanted to go out some time. I didn’t know if you ever got any free time with all the friends you have?” He looks at her suggestively.

“As soon as Kimmy gets out here, you need to leave.” She gives him a look of disgust.

She calls to Jaime. They walk out and Kimmy says goodbye. They drive off as Kelly gives Kimmy’s father a dirty look. “Thank god.” She is so glad their gone.

“Is everybody ready to go?” She yells as she packs up the picnic lunch. Lilly and Jaime come running.

Samantha strolls in and says, “I’m ready.”
