Chapter 76: The Nightmare Come True
On her way home as she walks down the road, she puts her ear buds in and listens to her mp3's on her phone. Her favorite one starts to play, and she stops dead in her tracks. This song reminds her so much of Jonathan.
She is at a crossroads one way leads to Jonathan and a new life. The other a downward spiral into nothingness if she can't get ahold of her feelings regarding Ben. She must get on with her life and quickly before she loses Jonathan for good.
Starting to walk again but faster this time, she makes up her mind. When she arrives home, she calls Kelly and fills her in on what happened. Kelly asks, "Do you need me to come over?"
"No, I'm good now. I think I have come to terms with Ben's death and now I know what I must do. I want Jonathan more than anything I have ever wanted in my life. It's my chance to start over and have a family. I need this, and he really loves me."
"Well, I am really glad that you can see that now. I was worried about you for a little bit there when you kept turning him down and playing that game. But now I know you’re on the right track. I am happy for you. I love you sis. I'm going to get going because Joel wants to take me to dinner. Talk to you later."
"O.k. I will keep you posted and don't hesitate to call whenever you want to talk. I love you sis. See you later."
Samantha hangs up and strips down. After taking a shower and putting on a pair of jeans and a sweater she starts to feel better about herself. A clear path lays ahead and she knows what she must do.
While she thinks of it, she goes around the house and removes all the pictures of Ben from the walls and her nightstand. Then she sits down and takes them out of her phone all but one. Their wedding photo, that one she will keep forever.
As she sits on the side of the bed looking at her wedding picture, she feels a single tear fall from her eyes. Catching herself starting to get depressed she stands up and makes herself a sandwich and some coffee in the kitchen. After lunch she cleans up the house and pulls out some paper from her desk.
She sits down and writes a letter to Ben and her baby, then when she's done, she puts it in an envelope and opens the desk drawer and files it in it. Feeling like she has finally closed the chapter on that part of her life she starts to feel better. A little later she sits down and reads a novel. When she finishes it, she notices it’s starting to get dark out as she decides to pick out another book.
When she goes into the library, she looks around at all the books. Over the years she has kept up on all her favorite authors. Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and V.C. Andrews fill the shelves as she spies Flowers in the Attic. A particular favorite of hers since she was thirteen.
She remembers reading it when she broke her leg, and she was stuck at home for a couple months. That was a particularly rough time for Samantha. Her friends didn't wait for her in their social circle, so when she got back to school, she had no friends left. The rest of that year at school she spent in solitude with her books. Finally, the next year she found a handful of new friends to hang around.
Peter was always a good friend, yet he never thought of anything more with her. She asked him once if he liked her as a girl and he flat out told her no. He liked Kelly even though she was a grade up from us and by that time she was already attached to John. A lot of guys in school liked Kelly, and Samantha got forgotten in Kelly's shadow.
After she finds the book she wants, she sits back down on the couch and snuggles up in the blanket. She reads for a little while longer till she falls asleep. Samantha wakes up when she hears Ben's voice.
"Hey, baby. I'm home. Did I wake you up? I noticed you had a book in your hands when I came in. Was it good?"
Stunned she looks around, not knowing how he is alive. "Was it all a dream? The last couple of weeks? Did I make it all up?" She thinks to herself as Ben stares at her awaiting an answer.
"Yeah, I was sleeping. I guess the time just got away from me. You know when I read a great story, I really get into it and lose track of time. I guess I got comfy and fell asleep. How was your day? Come give me a big kiss. I really missed you. I love you."
He moves to the couch and picks her up in his strong arms as she giggles, and he gives her a loving kiss. His lips soft and warm and so full of need and love. He starts to move down to her neck and kisses it softly and then flicks his tongue out and licks her. "Hmmm something tastes good."
"Hey you. I'm not food you know. Put me down and I will make you something for supper. It will only take a few minutes."
"Uh no. I want you not food. The only thing I'm hungry for is your body." he looks her up and down as he carries her to the bedroom. "Besides, I am going to make you something to eat after I feast on you. Have you forgot your supposed to take it easy because of our little pumpkin in the patch?"
"If I can't make you food what good am I?"
"I will show you exactly what your good for. Just let me get these constricting clothes off you."
She looks at him as he carries her and puts her down gently on the bed. His hair is so soft to her touch and shining in the light that he almost looks like he's glowing. Then she has a thought. "Maybe I died, and I went to heaven, because this is perfect."
After taking his clothes off he slowly strips her down. First, he slides her shirt up and off as his fingers tingle her skin. Then, he looks at her with those eyes as he pulls her pants down quickly. He throws them clear across the room and then nestles in between her legs.
His cock is stiff and unyielding as she touches it with her hands. She starts to stroke him with one hand as she cups his balls with the other. He moans loudly as he pushes her back down on the bed and starts to kiss her, poised just over her.
As he hovers in midair she gasps, waiting for him to take her. She spreads her legs more and lifts them up and around his waist. Pulling him into her she feels his tip press on her wet lips. She can feel him throbbing as she pulsates against him.
"Please, take me. I can't wait any longer. I need you. I have needed you for a long time now."
Hearing this he takes her fast and furious. Yet still being careful to not hurt their unborn baby, then he slows down and his eyes wait for her to beg. He almost stops when she finally begs. "Please, give it to me. I need to cum. I need to so bad it hurts."
He slides in farther and then speeds up. Feeling the rush coming she bears down on him, and she releases so hard she screams his name. Her nails digging in his neck and arm as she clenches on him inside her. This throws him over the edge, and she feels him rear up and explode deep inside her. He utters a guttural roar and carefully falls to the side of her, so not to harm the baby.
Turning to her he lays on his side exhausted, his eyes start to close and then he opens them quickly. "Baby, I love you. Don't you ever forget that." Then he falls asleep. She lays there hearing him snoring next to her for about an hour. Her belly starts to growl so she gets up and in doing so wakes him.
"What's wrong baby?" He sits up and looks at her concerned.
"Nothing, I'm just hungry. Sorry I woke you. I didn't mean to. You looked like you really needed to sleep."
"Yeah, you really sucked the life out of me." He laughs as he pulls her to him and kisses her playfully. "Let me throw my boxers on and I will make you something or we can order in."
"Sure, sounds great actually. I am going to go take a shower while you order something O.K?" She puts on her bathrobe and makes her way to the bathroom door. As she looks back waiting for a response he disappears. She looks all around the room and calls out to him, but no response.
Panic sets in and she starts to feel crazy. Where did he go? She calls out to him again and then starts to cry. Feeling a sharp stabbing pain in her stomach she looks down and sees blood covering her belly. Her hands are also covered in blood and when she looks back at the bed, she only sees her side of the covers pulled down. She screams out and then wakes up on the couch. Shaking.
