Chapter 86: Miscommunication
When she comes back with the towels, they both clean up and then he follows her to the bedroom to retrieve his clothes. "I probably should get back home. I hope I haven't taken up too much of your time?"
"No, not at all matter of fact I still don't know what I'm supposed to do about Jonathan. He sees that I am in odds with what happened and him, so he is trying to give me space, I think. Trouble is that I don't have any idea of what I need or want anymore."
"Hmm. Well, that is a problem. May I suggest something?"
"I suppose so, it's not like it's going to hurt anything."
"Well to me you should just go for this guy. If you really care for him, you need to go for it. Put yourself out there and see what happens. You’re a great woman and he's one hell of a lucky guy. Anyone who ends up with you should count themselves lucky."
"Thanks. What do you suggest I do, since you are a guy. What would you want me to do if you were him?"
"Show up at his house with a long coat on and nothing or a slinky piece of lingerie underneath. If he is a man at all he won't be able to shut the door on you. Then you have your foot in the door, and you can get him to do anything you want." He laughs and then gets this look of disappointment on his face.
"On that thought, I need to go. I will call you tomorrow if you want me to, just to make sure you are doing o.k."
Sure, thanks again Aaron. You are the best."
For some reason he doesn't feel like he's the best as he walks out of the house and down the driveway where his car is parked. Secretly he wishes that she was that into him. He sighs and drives away.
Samantha watches his car drive by and feels something weird. She's not sure what, but that isn't what she's worrying about right now. Now, she is trying to figure out if she should or shouldn't just go over there like Aaron suggested.
After pacing for several hours, she finally decides that she is going over there. She calls first to make sure he's not working, and when he answers she gets excited. "Hi, do you work today?"
"No, I have the rest of today and tomorrow off. Why, what's up?"
"Nothing really, just was wondering. How are you doing?" she practically is jumping out of her skin as she plans in her head what she will do next.
He answers after a short silence, "I could be better."
"Why?"
"If you have to ask that then you don't know just how much I love you. I miss you every day and night. I want to start the rest of our lives together now, not later. But frankly, you need to make some decisions before we can."
"I know. Look I must go but I will talk to you later O.K? Kelly needs me right now."
"What happened? Is there something wrong?"
"She keeps calling and I have to find out what is going on, when I know I will tell you. Jonathan, I must go. I will see you soon." she hangs up and hurries to get ready.
She rushes into the bedroom to pick out the outfit she's going to wear and the lingerie that she will wear underneath it. As she looks through her closet, she finds a very short navy-blue mini skirt that is skintight, then she looks for a shirt and gets out a light blue almost see through blouse.
Moving to her dresser she opens her lingerie drawer and pulls out a very lacy black two piece. The top is held together by lacey strings and the nipples are covered by lace flowers. The matching bottom is a thong of string and lace. It barely covers anything flower except for a flower between her legs. Very pretty.
She hurries to put the matching lingerie on and then the outfit over before she explodes from anticipation. Wanting to see the look on his face and then feeling him in her she can barely wait. After getting ready she takes one more look in the mirror to make sure everything is perfect and then she heads straight out the door.
As she drives over to Jonathan's she practices what she is going to say when he opens the door. "Jonathan, I love you. You are my world and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Jonathan, I need you. Your everything and I can't live without you. I love you." She pulls up to his house and sits in her car while she figures out exactly what she wants to say.
She watches as he moves from the kitchen to the living room. The light from the television shows through the window and she can't wait anymore. Taking the bottle of wine, she gets out of her car and walks up to the house.
She hesitates to knock because she hears him inside talking on the phone. It sounds like he's talking to a woman and then he hangs up. Samantha hears him say I love you to her just before he ends the call and then she bolts for the car. She hopes that she isn't seen, but he looks out the window to see her in the car as she drives away.
Too late, he tries to catch up with her vehicle as he runs after her. He realizes what she has heard and figures what she must think is going on. After all, if he heard her talking to a man on the phone like that and didn't know the circumstances, he would be upset too.
Still wondering why, she had showed up he tries to call Samantha. No answer, it goes straight to voicemail. He figured that it would, but he had to try. He loves her so much it's physically hurting him, just knowing what she thinks. Perhaps she may never talk to him again.
Starting to put a plan together he remembers her sister Kelly. Maybe she can talk some sense into her, or it might make things worse. The only thing he can do is find Kelly and explain the situation to her. Problem is, he doesn't know Kelly's last name. "How am I supposed to find her?"
