Chapter 11

The man who has kidnapped Lily is called Lucas Lord, one of the top dogs in the wine industry. Last month he lost to Anthony Damien and was in pain. He lost because the presentations done by his group were actually gotten from Anthony's group and in other words they plagiarized them but Anthony was able to defend himself and put him to shame.

Instead of blaming his workers, he decided to blame Anthony as he thought Anthony had disgraced him publicly and made him not worthy in front of investors.

Anthony had specifically gone to him in front of the investors and told him to learn to be innovative and also put his hands i Creation things if he ever wanted to prosper and he felt ridiculed.

Anthony had made him feel like he was incapable of handling the position he was at and made it look like he had nothing to offer. The Investors all had disappointment on their faces as they looked at him, some said words to him while some kept quiet.

Some had told him to go back and learn the process of business before coming out to get investors as he could implicate many of them. He felt too small and insulted and he swore to tear Anthony down.

For days he couldn't sleep as memories of that day kept replaying in his head and.he thought of what he could do to bring Anthony down.

Many of his investors withdrew from his business and went to Anthony's company and he lost a lot. His business is at the edge of bankruptcy and he wasn't ready to have any of that so he would do anything to make Anthony go down with him.

He had men gather information about Anthony and he found out about Anthony's precious daughter who was heavily guarded. He was told he would do anything to make his daughter happy and even his life.

He couldn't be more happy when he found out something that he could use to hurt Anthony. He had his men trail Lily for days and finally they were able to kidnap her.

When he got the call that they had successfully kidnapped her, he smiled in victory.

Truth was, he would kill Anthony and also his daughter and claim all that Anthony owned and make it his. He couldn't wait for Anthony to sign the papers that would show that he was giving all that he had to him and when he did that, he'd kill him and his daughter.

Everything was perfect. Anthony wasn't as confident as he was the other day. He had embarrassed him and that made him happy. The man who claimed to be a lion was actually a rat and he couldn't wait to end his life.

He had slapped Lily's face till her face got red and her nose was bleeding. He felt a feeling of warmth as he hurt her. It was as if he was torturing Anthony himself.

"Lily got kidnapped? By who?" Chris asked in a state of shock. There was no way she could have gotten kidnapped, he thought and as much as he knew she had gotten kidnapped, he couldn't help but blame himself.

Her father was right, his only job was to take care of her and protect her but he had gotten involved in an entanglement with her resulting in her leaving without her bodyguard and getting kidnapped.

"Bastard!" Her father slapped him right across the cheek.

"You had only one job and you didn't do it! Now how would you be responsible for her kidnap!" She shouted.

Chris was quiet because he had nothing to say and had failed to do his job. He regrets it and it hurts him to know that Lily would be going through a lot of pain.

He was pained and he wished he could take back the time but it was already too late and the deed was done.

"What did the kidnappers say and where is she?" Liam asked after a while.

Mr Anthony was still comprehending the situation and nothing was looking right for him. Where could they have taken his daughter to and who had taken his daughter? Who had he offended? He asked.

He knew he had so many clashes with people and with the kind of business he was into, anyone would try to do anything to bring their opponent down and he had taken a lot of people down.

He had won a lot and gotten now enemies rather than friends that he couldn't think of who could have kidnapped his daughter. A drop of tears rolled down his cheek.

He was hurt, pained and shattered. Lily was the only one that kept him going. She was the complete replica of her mother and the only reason he lived after his wife died giving birth to her.

He made sure to be the mother and father for her and had not remarried because of it. He didn't want to ever make her feel neglected and he made sure she was more than comfortable even when he wasn't.

"I do not know!" He broke down. Thinking of the hardship she must go through aches his heart. Her voice and how she called him 'dad' hurt him. He couldn't protect after all and has exposed her to a lot of hardship.

"I will kill you!" He shouted again, launching towards Chris again. His blow hit Chris right against his jaw and he groaned in pain.

He didn't do anything because he knew he had failed his job and had let the person he was supposed to protect get kidnapped.

"I'm sorry sir." He said. He was pained, hurt like Mr Anthony but he couldn't do anything. He remembered his last conversation with her and how they had ended up in a heated argument. If he had known, he would have avoided it and followed her even when she disagreed.

It was on his conscience and he knew there was nothing he could do about it.

"They said they will call back later but I am worried! My baby is in danger! She's exposed to harsh treatment and I cannot take it." He cried out.

"She was literally begging me to save her and I cannot do anything! This makes me a useless father and I hate myself! I caused all of this! I promised to protect her and I failed at that too. Oh no! My poor baby!" He cried out.

Liam clenched his fist, there was no way he'd ever let the people go free. He was hurt as much as Lily's father but at this time he had to act strong and help now.

"She will be fine. She will be saved." Liam assured him.

He took out his phone from his pants pocket to make a phone call. "What phone did they use to call you? Lily's or theirs?" Liam asked.

"What are you going to do?" Anthony asked.

"We are going to track the number. I'm gonna call my trackers to track the number and find the location where she's been held." Liam explained.

Due to the situation, Mr Anthony had not thought of that and he was more than grateful to Liam for being by his side at this time. His instinct wasn't wrong when he thought Liam would be the perfect man for his child.

"Oh. There's. Thanks so much." He said, going through his phone to give Liam the phone number of the man that called him.

"By the time she's back safely, you shall face my wrath!" Mr Anthony said through gritted teeth as he pointed his finger at Chris.

Chris had already made up his mind to leave after Lily came back and find something else to do. All life had given to him was pain more than happiness. He had a messed up life and now he wanted to start all over again.

He shook his head in shame as he listened to Liam speak on the phone. Maybe after all Liam was the right one for Lily, he thought to himself.

Lily had everything and could offer Lily anything. There was obviously nothing he could offer Lily and together they were toxic.

"Thank you so much." Liam said on the phone.

"Give me a call as soon as you find the location." Liam added before he ended the call.

"They will track the location and get back to me." Liam said to Lily's father. He was More than grateful, he hadn't thought of anything he could do and he was worried about his daughters safety.

"Thanks so much Liam. I am so grateful." He appreciates it.

"It's nothing. I want Lily to be safe and sound and I cannot imagine what she's going through. I am definitely going to end all of them when I catch them." Liam said through gritted teeth.

A smile formed on Luca's face when he saw Anthony calling his phone. He knew getting Anthony to grant his demands would be easy which was why he had intentionally ended the call to make Anthony worried and scared. He knew Anthony would call him when he didn't hear from him long and tell him to tell him what his demands were.

Not wanting to delay Anthony, he called him and after a ring, Anthony answered the call.

Luca was delighted as he knew the day he put Anthony down was near. Lily, hearing Anthony's voice, instantly picked up that it was her father and she cried out.

"Daddy!" She cried. Her face was bruised. She had been slapped and now her nose was bleeding. She had a cut on her lips and a cut on her forehead.

Never in her life had she been tortured. It was much for her and she didn't know if she'd survive.

Anthony hearing his daughter's voice clenched. He couldn't believe she was going through so much. It ached him and he wished he was the one suffering and not her.

"Do not hurt my child bastard! Do not hurt her!" Anthony shouted through the phone.

Seeing Anthony pained only made Luca smile. It brought great delight to him knowing the man who had put him through so much was suffering.

"Ha ha ha!" He laughed through the phone riling Anthony more than he was.

"The man who thought he had it all crying? Wow! I'm amazed. You are about to know what humiliation feels like." Luca said.

"Who are you? Tell me who the fuck are you bastard! What do you want from me! Why don't you come for me instead! Why my daughter fucking coward! I will kill you and I promise by the time I'm done with you, you will regret ever crossing path with Anthony Damien!" He shouted through the phone, making emphasis on his every word.

His words only made Luca laugh. It gave him great joy and for some reason he wished he could see the face of Anthony right now. The look on Anthony's face when he publicly embarrassed him was still vivid in his memory and now that same Anthony was in a painful situation and he wanted to see the face of the man.

Liam had told Anthony to act naturally so as to delay him. While he delayed him by speaking on the phone, the police men would go to the location and save lily.

They wanted to take them by surprise. While Luca spoke on the phone and Anthony did all he could so that Luca wouldn't end the call, the police made their way to where Lily was.

Lily felt like fainting, she knew any moment from now she would as she could not endure the pain anymore. They had beaten and kicked her and made her cry in agony. This was one of her worst experiences and she knew it'd damage her. It would take her a long time before she moved on from it.
