Chapter 14
Stacy and Dorothy got to Lily's house after a fifteen minutes drive. Where Lily resided wasn't far from where Dorothy resided.
As soon as Dorothy parked her car where cars are usually parked, she got down from the car.
The place was heavily guarded compared to before peaking Dorothy and Stacy's curiosity. They looked around and could tell something had happened.
Not wanting to delay any longer, they moved forward to the front door and found their friend.
"Why do I feel like something happened?" Stacy whispered to Dorothy.
"Not just you. I do too." Dorothy replied. Just as they were about to enter the front door, the guards stopped them by taking them by shock.
"Excuse you?" Dorothy spoke clearly confused by the action of the guard. It wasn't their first time coming to Lily's father's mansion but this is the first time they are stopped from entering the place.
"You cannot go in." The guard said sternly and firmly.
Dorothy and Stacy gave one another a confused look as the skin between their brows creased. "We... We cannot go in? What do you mean by we cannot go in? What's happening?" Stacy asked.
"For security purposes, until Mr Damien is back we cannot let you in." The guard informed me.
"Security purpose? Did something happen?" Dorothy asked for enlightenment.
"I'm afraid I cannot tell you that due to security reasons too. You might want to come back later but for now we cannot let anyone inside the mansion." The guard said irritating the girls.
They had not heard from Lily since she left and she seemed to be in a sour mood when she left. Could this be the reason for it? They thought to themselves.
"Okay. We will wait for Lily to come." Dorothy said, folding her arms across her chest. Knowing something was going on and their friend might be involved made them not want to leave until they confirmed she was well and doing good.
"No problem." The guard said.
They both stood aside as they waited for Lily. Dorothy decided to try dialing Lily's number again as she couldn't get through the other time.
"Her phone is switched off and it's scaring me. Why do I feel like something bad happened to her?" Dorothy said.
"I'm so worried. Should we try and call her father? These guards won't be giving out any information and I know everything that's happening now involves Lily." Stacy said.
Dorothy nodded her head telling Stacy to go ahead and dial Lily's father's number. After two rings, he answered.
"Good evening sir, this is Stacy, Lily's friend." Stacy informed me.
"Ohh, Good evening." He replied.
Stacy cleared her throat, "If you don't mind us asking sir, have you heard or seen Lily today? We haven't seen her since she left us this morning and we are kinda worried as we are in your mansion now and we are not allowed to go in." She explained.
Anthony knew Lily's friends very well and even if they were close to his daughters, his guards wouldn't let anyone in as long as he had given them an order not to.
He sighed. His eyes drifted to his daughter who was sleeping peacefully on the bed. He just wanted her to open her eyes so he could finally be at ease. He was at ease knowing she was out of danger but then she hasn't opened her eyes nor has she spoken to him and it hurts him.
He wiped the tears that rolled down his cheek and sniffled a little. "She is fine. She...she is currently in the hospital." He said to Stacy.
Stacy's eyes widened in shock and her heart began to beat faster than normal. Just earlier Lily was with them and now she was in the hospital and that made her wonder.
All thoughts ran through her mind as she thought of incidents that could have happened. Did Lily get into an accident or what? She thought to herself.
Dorothy noticed Stacy's reactions and that got her worried. "What's wrong Stacy?" She asked her friend who had a worried expression on her face.
"Hospital? How? When? What happened and what hospital?" Stacy asked.
"Hospital? What's Lily doing there? Did something happen?" Dorothy asked with a hint of worry laced on her tone.
"We are on our way." Stacy informed Lily's father after he told her the location Lily was.
"What's happening Stacy?" Dorothy asked Stacy as they walked towards Dorothy's car.
"Lily is in the hospital. I do not have any other news apart from that's" Stacy tells her, peeking her curiosity.
"I knew it. I knew something was wrong! I knew something was happening. Oh no, poor lily. I pray and hope she's fine." Dorothy said as she got into her car. She drove in speed as they made their way to the hospital Lily was in.
When Dorothy and Stacy reached, they asked the room Lily was in and rushed in when told the room number.
They had not knocked when they saw the room number Lily was in before entering. Chris had already left where he was standing outside of the room after he took a sneak peak and saw Lily was fine.
"Lily!" Dorothy screamed once her eyes landed on her best friend's face.
"Oh my gosh!" Stacy placed her hands on her mouth stopping herself from making a sound.
"What happened to her?" Dorothy asked as she moved slowly to where Lily lay down. She had so many patches on her face and some parts of her face looked swollen. "Omg! My poor lily." Dorothy said as her eyes welled in tears.
"How? When? Who did this and how?" Stacy asked moving closer to her friend.
Lily's father decides to give them space. "Liam what happened?" Dorothy asked as soon as Lily's father's left.
Liam sighed. "She was kidnapped." Liam explained and they gasped.
"What?" Their eyes widened in shock.
"Could...could you please explain better to me. She was kidnapped or almost kidnapped but got saved and how the hell did she get all of this on her face?" Dorothy asked, pointing at the bruises and cuts on Lily's face.
"She got kidnapped earlier today by one of her father's rival but luckily for us, we were about to trail their location and rescue her and thankfully we did before it got out of hand." Liam explained.
Dorothy and Stacy gasped. "Oh no! This is terrifying! Poor Lily." Stacy cried out.
"This is my fault!" Dorothy said as tears rolled down her cheek. She blamed herself because she wished she hadn't let Lily leave after their argument with Ariana. Lily wouldn't have experienced such if she was with them but now their friend had to experience it and they weren't sure how long it would take for her to get over that traumatizing memory.
Liam brows raised in a questioning manner after Dorothy's last statement.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"She was with us earlier today..." Dorothy sniffled a little. "Then our ex best friend, Ariana came and we got into a heated argument with her and Lily had enough of it. She wasn't in the mood for it and something seemed to be bothering her before she came. She wasn't happy with the argument and fight so she left telling us to call her when he was ready and now..." Her voice broke as she looked at her friend.
Lily's face was covered with bandages and her face was swollen. It was obvious she was tortured and beaten to a point of almost stupor.
"If only we had avoided Ariana and stayed with Lily, maybe...just maybe!" Stacy cried out.
"Lily, we are so sorry. Gosh I do not know how to feel about this. It hurts as If I'm the one." Stacy confessed.
Every part of her body was shaking and the pain she felt in her chest was too much for her to handle.
"She will be fine. The doctor says she's sleeping. Hopefully she wakes up soon." Liam said.
"I hope so too." Dorothy said. Stacy pulled a chair back so she could sit and adjusted it so she was closer to Lily. She grabbed her friend 's hand, "I'm so sorry Lily. Please get through this for our sake, please." Stacy pleaded.
Dorothy wiped the tears in her eyes. "Lily, we are so sorry. I know you will get through this."

Mr Damien left the hospital to go to the station and listen to what Lucas had to say. He wished the police men had not stopped him from pouncing on Lucas. Lucas has brought pain to his daughter, and there was no way he'd let him go for free.
"What do you mean he committed suicide?" Anthony Damien asked after the police officer in charge of the case told him Lucas committed suicide.
"It seems he wasn't going to go down so he bit himself." The police officer explained.
"No! No! No! You have got to be kidding me!" Anthony shouted in frustration. He wanted Lucas to slowly tortured and in front of him so he would know how it felt torturing another.
"Where is he? I will wake him back to life. Hw won't die just yet. He can't hit my child and think he will die for free. His death isn't for free! He has to pay before he died!" Anthony Damien shouted.
"Please keep it down sir, you are in the station." The Police officer in charge of the case reminded him.
"You think that will stop me?" Anthony Damien scoffed.
"I do not care where the hell I am right now! All I want is to see the body of that damn bastard who hurt my child and beat him till he wakes up so that I can properly make him feel more than enough pain. He hurt my child, tortured and left scars on her body and he wants to die for free?" Anthony Damien laughed hysterically.
"He is joking! I won't let him die! He can't die yet. He just can't because he has to die at the time I want. I will make him pay!" Anthony shouted.
"It would be great If you do me a favour and keep it down. He died and we will be transferr..." Anthony Damien rudely interjected.
"Great if I do what? I won't listen to you. Let me see him first. Even if he is really dead, I have hit him hard! Hit him really hard so he feels pain even in his afterworld!" Anthony Damien spat out.
"I want to see his body now!" Anthony Damien demanded.
Lily's eyes flutter open. She could feel pains all over her body. She groaned as she opened her eyes and although she wanted to see clearly she could feel someone beside her.
"Lily!" Liam was the first to notice her eyes opening.
Dorothy and Stacy woke up when they heard Liam's word. "Lily!" They called in unison.
Lily groaned again. "Where am I?" She asked as the last thing she remembered was fainting as she couldn't endure the pain anymore.
"You are safe now. You are in the hospital." Liam said to her. Her eyes were seeing clearly now but because of the bandage around her head, she couldn't open them properly so as not to strain herself.
"I'm hungry." She said.
Liam sighed while Dorothy and Stacy chuckled. They were glad she woke up and the first thing she thought of was food.
"I will get you food. What do you want to eat?" Liam asked.
"Where is my dad?" She asked after noticing he was not here.
"Did something happen to him?" She asked with curiosity laced on her tone. Fear gripped her as she thought of a scene where her dad might have given himself to that man for her safety.
"He went out. He would be back soon. He left not long again." Liam assured her noticing the worries on her face.
"No more questions. Rest, I will be back in a bit." Liam said before leaving the room to go get her food.
