Chapter 8
The woman named Camille on the line laughed when Chris called her name. "It seems my boy hasn't forgotten his mummy," she said seductively, making Chris cringe.
Chris felt his stomach churn from her words. He has never found someone voice as disgusting as he found Camille's. Hearing her voice brought back memories he buried deep down and hated that. She was the one who ruined him after telling him a different story.
"How did you get my number?" He asked firmly and sternly.
She chuckled, "Aww, baby boy missed me a lot, didn't you?" She spoke through the phone.
"How did you get my number?" He asked again, anger evident in his tone but she wasn't fazed by that.
"Aww, don't be so harsh! You and I know that part of you turns me on more. All of you do." She giggled.
Chris clenched his fist, speaking to her was frustrating enough and he wasn't ready to deal with her.
"Fine. Since you do not want to speak, I'm ending the call." Before she could utter another word, he ended the call. He blocked her line as he didn't want her to call him again.
Camille was the first woman in his life and the woman who lied that he wanted to rape her when her husband found out that they were sleeping with one another.
He couldn't forget the look on her face and she fake tears she cried. She lied that he molested her and tore his shirt while accusing him.
He was punished, flogged, beaten by the rain and later ended up in jail. Thinking of it made him groan in frustration.
Why all of this?" He thought to himself. He was trying to get over the pain he felt in his chest for hurting Lily and now his ex and the woman who damaged him called after so many years.

Lily cried all through the drive to meet her friends. Immediately she got into the car, she couldn't hold it back as she sobbed silently.
Why is everything so wrong? She thought to herself. Who did I offend and why won't my heart listen to me? It was as if the air wasn't enough for her as she was finding it hard to breathe.
She wondered why her heart had decided to love the wrong person and now she was the one suffering the consequences for letting her heart lead her. It hurts so much that she feels pains all over her body and it hurts so much as she remembers Chris and the unremorseful facial expression he had one.
It hurts because she felt as if she forced everything which was partly true as she was the one who started making advances towards him. It hurts so much as she thinks of yesterday and how they kissed, fought and made up and now another fight and it felt as if she had offended someone in her previous life and is suffering the repercussions in this life.
"Miss Lily, we are here." Her driver tells her and she quickly wipes the tears in her eyes. She took up her phone to look at her face and see if there was any sign that she was crying.
She sniffled a little before wiping her eyes again. She breathed in and out before she got out of the car.
She could see Stacy and Dorothy through the transparent glass laughing and talking about something. She wanted to know what that is too but the mood she was in didn't make her eagerly rush in to meet them.
She needed space to break from all of the heartbreak she just got. Taking a deep sigh, she began to walk towards the building as she was now at ease.
Once she was inside, she put a big smile on her face as she walked towards them. "Hi bestie!" Dorothy greeted Lily once she noticed Lily.
"Hi," Lily greeted with a smile on her face.
"Aww, you are looking good." Stacy complimented once she turned around to see Lily walking towards them.
"Thanks." Lily appreciated.
"Here, come sit," Dorothy tapped on the empty seat beside them and Lily sat down.
Just when they were about to begin speaking, Ariana walked in with two girls beside her. A black and a white girl, both taller than Ariana herself. After the scene with Ariana at the mall, they hadn't seen her and they were grateful.
It was inevitable for them not to bump into her as they all shared the same spot before and their spot had not changed even after the separation.
Ariana's eyes met with them and she rolled her eyes at them. She already had hate for them and was planning something against them, especially Lily. She has always been jealous of Lily and wished she had had everything Lily had.
Lily was loved and her personality attracted people towards her and although Lily couldn't see that Ariana could. She kept Lily close so she could use her and she successfully did that as they let him dictate their lives for them.
"What a day! Bad energy and now I feel like I'm finding it hard to breathe." Dorothy spat out with disdain laced on her tone. She had really had an issue with Ariana but she knew and saw those faults in Ariana.
"I feel like the air is contaminated!" Stacy said loud and clear so Ariana would hear and she did. She stopped walking with her minions by the side and turned to look at the girls with their arms folded across their chest.
"What did you just say?" Ariana asked, glaring at them all. The girls beside her who didn't know Dorothy, Stacy and Lily glare too unaware of the beef on ground.
"I said what I said." Dorothy repeated unfazed by Ariana's attitude. Ariana hated this, she was always the one controlling and dictating but now it seems the girls were not under her and were annoying her.
She swallowed the lump in her throat as she clenched her fist. "Wow, wow! A bitch indeed. I see now, you actually just bit the hand that fed you." Ariana said.
Dorothy got up from her seat, standing to face Ariana and not wanting to be intimidated by her.
"Really?" She scoffed
"What are you insinuating because I am so confused? The hand that fed me? Are you mentally stable upstairs Bitch?" Dorothy spoke rudely.
Lily, who already had a lot on her plate, wasn't in the mood for an extra drama so she used her eyes to tell Dorothy that she should calm down but Dorothy wasn't in the mood for it. Dorothy was usually the quiet one who would rather just sit back and watch unlike the rest of them.
Stacy and Ariana were the hotheaded ones. They were quick to bash things and attack anyone. The attitude coming from Dorothy now is new and unexpected.
Lily sighed, she wasn't going to be in this mess. The headache she had was more than enough and she didn't want to add more to it.
Ariana laughed sarcastically. "As if I'm lying. I'm actually stating the real fact. I am saying what is right and everyone know that from the pit of their belly even if they won't accept it. So where is the lie exactly?" She snarled.
Dorothy forced a fake smile on her face, "Hmm. I see."
"The lie is obviously in front of you because if you indeed fed me, I wouldn't be ungrateful because the last time I checked,I am not the ungrateful bitch or the one not loyal so guess what?" She moved closer to Ariana so she could be standing in front of her and their faces would meet each other.
"That bitch is you." She smirked.
Everyone present at the table gasped. It was the attitude and words of Dorothy that shocked them. Dorothy's new personality was loved by Stella but Ariana felt insulted by it.
"How dare you bitch!" Ariana groaned in frustration.
"Oh well guess what?" She gasped looking around to make sure Ariana got pissed. "The bitch dared you!"
"Oops!" Stella voiced out, laughing at Ariana who got embarrassed but she wasn't going to back down just yet. She was going to make sure she gave Dorothy a piece of her before leaving her.
"That shit burns! Did you hear that Lily?" Stella asked Lily but Lily had a bland facial expression on. As much as she loved Dorothy's words at Ariana, she was going through a lot.
"Shut up Stacy!" Ariana reprimanded.
Stacy was taken aback by Ariana's audacity. Ariana should know better than not to mess with her, Stacy thought.
"Did you just tell me to shut up? Or maybe I was hearing wrongly?"Stacy said as she got up from her seat. Stacy was always ready to fight. It was as if whenever she went, she was prepared for it.
"You have got to be kidding me to have the guts to ask me to shut up" she spat out.
Ariana chuckled loudly. "Bitch! I said shut up!" She spat out and that instant, Stacy raised her hands and slapped her.
Ariana gasped. This was the second time they were slapping her and she wasn't going to let go now. She grabbed the glass in front of Dorothy's table and threw the content in it on Stacy.
Stacy gasped. "You did not just do that bitch!" She spat out and grabbed the glass in front of her chair and threw it at Ariana.
Ariana screamed and she raised her hands to hit Stacy. That was how the fight broke out, all five girls fighting except for Lily who tried to settle and separate them.
Her day was ruined already and instead of having a good time with her friends, it got ruined too and she felt so angry.
"Stop it!" She shouted when she couldn't hold them back anymore. Tears was threatening to roll down her eyes and she was trying as much as she could to control it.
"Stop it!" She shouted again.
"This is unnecessary and immature and I don't have time for such!" She shouted. All the girls involved in the fight left themselves and looked at Lily with a confused facial expression on their face. Dorothy quickly noticed the look on Lily's face and she could tell Lily was about to cry but what made her want to cry, Dorothy thought.
"I do not have time for this so I'm leaving." She said, grabbing her bag and leaving the place for them. She wasn't going to involve in their childless act so she left
Dorothy and Stacy felt bad for not handling the matter well and felt bad for being the reason Lily left. Although Dorothy thought Lily left because she was hurt from their fight, Stacy knew there was more to Lily's action.
"This is not over, I promise I will come back for all of you and when I do you will not like it." Ariana threatened.
"Bark all you want bitch! When you come we will be ready and infact we are fucking ready!" Stacy spat back.
Ariana hissed and walked away with her minions following behind her. Dorothy and Stacy began to arrange their messy hair as they had gotten messy while they were involved in a fight.
"I cannot believe I actually got involved with someone as foolish as Ariana!" Stacy exclaimed.
"It's so funny how we were close but now we can't stand the sight of each other," Dorothy pointed out.
Stacy sighed and then she smiled at Dorothy. She had to give it to her for the way she had broken out of her shell and become savage. "Butch whatever you did today made my respect for you move from grade five to ten out of ten." She said and Dorothy chuckled.
"Let's go find and talk to Lily." Dorothy suggested and Stacy nodded her head in agreement.
