Chapter 7
Lily looked at herself in the mirror as her stylist zipped her dress. She was sad and she hated it.
She wished her friends were here, they would have helped her with her choice of outfit and she hated she had to think of them after the humiliation she suffered from Ariana.
Ariana has always been the bossy one, the one with better fashion and she made sure to make them all feel like trash when they wore something less extravagant to hers.
She shook her head, trying to get Ariana and her friends' thoughts from her head. She wanted nothing to do with them and hopefully doesn't regret choosing Chris over them.
"There you go Miss Lily," her stylist's words brought her back to reality. She was startled a little and looked at the dress through the mirror.
A smile crept to her face when she saw how beautiful she looked. The blue strapless dress hugged her body perfectly bringing out her shape.
She walked away from the mirror to get her purse from the bed. While she walked, she held her dress with her left hand to avoid her stepping on it and falling down.
She prayed from the bottom of her heart that she doesn't come across Ariana, Stacy and Dorothy considering they might attend as they were all kids of prominent families.
She twisted her door knob, opened it and walked out. While she walked down the stairs, she felt an uncanny feeling in her stomach, unsure of why she felt that way.
Her face lit up when she saw Chris standing close to her father looking effortlessly dashing. Her heart skipped as she watched him, forgetting that she was still walking on the stairs.
Although he was always in a two piece black suit, he managed to stand out without trying much. She knew what she was feeling for him grew bigger as time passed. Her dad was speaking to someone on the phone, backing her so he didn't know she was coming.
Chris turned his head slightly and he saw Lily walking down the stairs. His heart skipped, she looked effortlessly beautiful and cock stiffening gorgeous. She felt shivers down his spine although there was no physical contact between them.
His eyes met hers and unlike before he didn't take them off. How could he when she was breathtaking. He lost every reason to think and admired her shamelessly.
A smile crept to Lily's face when she saw Chris staring at her. She blushed and her eyes met his. She felt a very nice feeling in the pit of her feelings with the thought of Chris looking at her.
Butterflies began to dance in her belly as she moved closer to him. She felt as if it was just the both of them in their own world alone.
As she stared at him, she couldn't help but remember their little session in the bathroom. His hands all over her, gritting her teeth and scratching him. She shivered from her thoughts wishing they would have another of that moment soon.
By the way he looked at her, she could tell he felt something for her but was denying it and she wanted to know what it was. Just as she reached down the stairs, her father had finished his phone call.
He turned around and his eyes met his beautiful daughter. He smiled, "My princess, you look as beautiful as ever," he said.
Lily smiled at her father, "Papa you look good too," she said moving into his arms. She kissed him on both of his cheeks.
"Are you ready to leave?" He asked and she nodded her head. Just as she linked her arms with her dad, they began to walk out of the mansion. Chris followed from behind. Lily turned around slightly to look at Chris and she gave him a big smile before facing her front.
Chris placed his palm on his chest, calming his raging heart. How could someone look so beautiful and heartwarming at the same time. He shook his hand reminding himself that she was in an eager zone and it would end up backfiring and he would be the one to get hurt at the end.
Before Lily and her dad reached the limousine, the bodyguards opened it. Lily's dad let her in first before he entered. The bodyguards closed the door, moved to the other cars at the back of the limousine, got into it before the car drove off following the trail of the limousine.
Lights, camera and a whole lot of people stood at the front of the event hall. A long red carpet that led to the door was placed in the middle. People taking pictures outside of the event and journalists asking questions regarding the lives of the prominent business men.
Once the limousine Lily and her dad were in came to a stop, Lily and her dad got out of the car. Lily inhaled and exhaled as she stood on her feet.
Her dad got out of the car, placed his hands on her arms and gave her a light squeeze of assurance. "Smile Princess, it's gonna be fine," he assured her and she shook her head.
Journalists noticed them and moved towards Lily and her dad but before then the bodyguards pulled them off while creating a path for Lily and her dad to go into the event hall.
Once Lily and her dad stepped foot into the event, a man she wasn't familiar with approached them.
"Mr Damien, nice meeting you once again." A man in a two piece black suit and black hat greeted me. He had a walking stick in his hands too. Lily was familiar with all her dad's business partners except this one.
She looked at him trying to get familiar with his face. The man stretched his hands forth for a handshake and Lily's father took his hands.
"Nice meeting you once again Mr Sam," Lily's father returned the gesture.
"Mr Sam, this is my daughter and the heir to everything I own. Princess, this is Mr Sam, a new investor in the company," he introduced.
Lily smiled, "Hi there. It's nice meeting you," she said with a coy smile.
"Your daughter is really beautiful, I must say you did well raising her," Mr Sam commented.
Lily scoffed mentally. He didn't know her and he was quick to compliment although she didn't have a problem with his compliments.
"If you do not mind excusing us, we have other people to meet," Lily dad said to Me Sam before walking away with Lily by his side.
As Lily and her dad walked further into the Hall, Lily's eyes met with her friends and the sad feeling she felt earlier today returned.
She sighed, taking her eyes off them. She didn't want to think of them because they were just people who would hurt their friends with their weakness.
Chris stood not far from Lily and her dad admiring Lily. He wished he could go closer to her, place his hands on the small of her back and feel her in his hands but he knew it was impossible.
He felt a strong pull like a magnet pulling him to her but he resisted knowing her father would behead him. He knew what rich ladies like her were after, they just wanted a man to make them feel good and that was it. They couldn't care less what happens to the man and they needn't know the true meaning of love.
As he stared at her from afar he was contended until a young looking man approached her. He could tell the man was rich and from a wealthy background and just the kind of people Lily would end up with later in life.
He didn't know what they were talking about but the next thing he knew, he saw Lily place her hands in his and moved with him to the dance floor.
He clenched his fist in annoyance. He was hurt, he knew that was the start of something new for Lily. He knew this was bound to happen because he didn't want to get close and now he was the one hurting just like every other time.
Lily had a smile on her face as she danced with the man. They engaged in talks he didn't hear and it pained him.
The way he put his hands around Lily provoked him, he was more angry because he cared when he shouldn't.
As they danced, he watched them until he couldn't take it any more and walked away to get fresh air.
As he walked out, he bumped into Ariana. "Who the fu..." Ariana stopped mid words when her eyes met Chris and she smiled.
"Well, well, well," guess who we have here." She said, folding her arms across her chest.
She licked her lips as she eye fucked him. "You look delicious as usual, I wanna climb on you like a tree," she said, her voice sultry.
