##Chapter 5
Livia
Lost in my thoughts about that man but most of all happy to be with my dad, I fell asleep. The next day I woke up, brushed my teeth, took a shower and went down to find my father, he was already downstairs sitting at the table.
- Good morning. — She opened a wide smile when she saw me — Come daughter, join me.
I went to him, greeted him and sat down to have breakfast together.
- Dad, I'm so happy to be here... - I declared sighing.
“ Good my dear. I am also very happy to have you with me, my princess. - he replied smiling, my father was the best man in the world.
I lifted my hand to his and squeezed lightly.
“I need to go into town to pick up some stuff from school, my transcript, and some exams. I heard that to start college, you must have a school transcript. Can you take me?
— Oh, today I have a lot of work here on the farm. But I can send one of the servants to take you there.
- Oh yes, That is OK.
"What do you want to go to college for?"
— Veterinarian, I love animals, even though I've never been able to have one. Once I dared to take care of a kitten and that idiot Leonel killed it.
I grimaced at the memory.
- Damn you. My father clenched his fists.
“He's a monster.
I decided to change the subject, talking about that man could ruin anyone's day and I didn't want to ruin my first full day on the farm.
“This cake is so good. Who did? I asked, helping myself to a second piece of corn cake, even though I knew that Maria was cooking.
— Maria, she has the hands of a fairy. — I notice a glint in my father's eyes — When you're done, go get what you have to get while I call someone to take you to the city.
- All good. I nodded and finished my breakfast.
I ran upstairs, I always had this habit of running around the house and I was often beaten for it. I took my things, but I couldn't find a blessed piece of paper with proof of the history request.
— Livia! I heard my dad call.
"I'm coming, dad!" — I exclaimed — Sorry, I wasn't finding an important paper inside the suitcase. I said as I ran down the stairs.
I almost tripped on the last step of the stairs when I got there and came face to face with the arrogant young man.
— Daughter, this is Demetrius. He will drive you into town for me. Demetrius, this is my daughter Livia.
- Hey. Demetrius spoke coldly.
- Hey. — I replied in the same way — Shall we go? Bye dad, see you later.
I said goodbye to my father and went towards the truck that was parked in front of the stairs of the house, I soon assumed that it would be Demétrio's, and, incredible as it may seem, he opened the car door for me. Despite being arrogant, he was at least a little bit of a gentleman.
When he started and the silence became too uncomfortable for me, I tried to make conversation.
"Have you worked with my father for a long time?"
- Yes. he replied dryly.
"Do you live in those cute little houses I saw from the porch?" I tried to delve deeper.
“I'd like us to be silent and stop being nosy. he said without taking his eyes off the road.
So I kept quiet and didn't ask any more questions. Arriving in the city, he drove correctly to the school. I entered the institution and took what I had to take and went back to the car.
- Ready. We can go. I said quietly, not looking at him.
On the way back to the farm, I remained silent and that's when a strange noise sounded from the bottom of the truck.
- Cum. — Demetrio swore, stopped the car and got out.
- What happened? I asked.
- I got a flat tire. I was surprised that he answered me.
I got out of the car behind him and watched as he started to get some things and a spare tire to change the tire.
- You want help? I asked, even though I knew I didn't know anything about changing a tire.
"I thought you weren't going to ask." Will give me what I ask.
- OK.
I helped him change the tire and when we were done, he was covered in grease, as were my hands. Suddenly he took off his shirt, irritated by getting dirty, thus revealing his tanned body, giving me a view of his well-defined muscles that left me awestruck. He was perfection in terms of beauty.
Looking at that made my body heat up, I was immediately embarrassed that I felt that. I bit my lip involuntarily and the moment he looked at me I disguised my gaze by turning my face away, he put on another shirt, I got in the car and we continued on our way back.
When we were crossing a bridge, he stopped abruptly, making my body give a forward impulse that if it weren't for the seat belt, I would have a broken nose.
“Did you hear that? - He asked.
- No. I was distracted. What it was?
Demetrio got out of the car running like a madman and I followed behind, worried and confused.
- What did you hear? I yelled going after him.
He quickly went down a ravine and there was a car almost on fire with a person inside screaming tiredly for help. My heart started hammering in my chest and dread washed over me.
- Oh my God!
"Go to the truck and call 911!" My cell phone is in the glove compartment. he shouted as he tried to get the man out of the car.
I did as he said, I ran to the car and picked up the cell phone, dialed the emergency number and gave the coordinates of where we were, luckily for me the bridge was a reference and a sign further ahead too, otherwise I wouldn't know how to indicate the local.
I went back to the ravine and saw him struggling to get the man out, the fire starting to get stronger in the back of the fallen car. To make matters worse or better, it started to rain, and after a few minutes, Demetrius managed to get the man who was already unconscious.
"We have to get away, the car could explode." he said, pulling the man as carefully as he could away from the burning car .
And when we were in the distance , the roar of an explosion filled our ears. My stomach twisted, it would have exploded with the man inside if Demetrius hadn't gotten him out, he was an old man.
The emergency arrived quickly, as if they were already passing by, applied first aid and took him to the hospital.
- I hope he is OK. I said and looked at him. We were soaked.
- Me too. he answered tensely, looking at nothing. — Let's go, it's late and your father must be worried.
- OK.
Demétrio started the car again and I closed the window when the wind got too strong and I started to shiver from the cold, I've always been sensitive to the cold, any wind would make my chin start to throb and my mouth would turn purple.
He noticed I was cold and grabbed his shirt from the backseat and dropped it in my lap, silently. I understood the message and put the shirt on also in silence, even though he was rude, it was a sweet gesture.
When we finally got to the farm, he opened the car door for me and I got out.
- Demetrius... - I called him - Thank you.
He just nodded and turned away. I entered the house, my father was nowhere to be found, so I went to my room, sat on the bed, took off Demetrius' shirt and smelled him. Even though he was so rude, I couldn't stop thinking about him.
