❤️ I Am Sorry, Forgive Me (Part 3) ❤️
"They were at war and to keep them safe, their mother had to separate them and gave me Juno to look after. Their father's blood that runs through their veins made them age slowly, very very slowly. I had to hide Juno and carry her as a baby for years before your father steps in and sees us today."
"What war are you talking about?" Storm asked.
"A war which made the surviving dwarfs and elves go into hiding and yes their father ruled them. You weren't born during that time," Emera said to him. "But it's all in the past now. And when I saw Gwen she looked so much like her mother and when she said she grew up in the Garden of Edenis I knew immediately she was Juno's other twin."
"I see." Storm mused to himself. "My last question, is there something you are keeping away from me?"
"No, nothing."
"Okay," Storm said. "I'm sorry once again for the way I behaved. Goodnight Uncle Emera." he added and went to open the door but stopped when Emera spoke.
"Storm, have there been any recent changes in you, like in your behavior?"
"No, why are you asking?" Storm responded with his own question facing the man sitting.
"Nothing really, just wanted to know. You will tell me if you feel a strange urge."
"Strange urge? How? What do you mean?"
"Don't worry you will know once it comes," Emera said. "Goodnight Storm."
Storm stared at him for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders and left his room and headed back to his. Taking a deep breath before he entered his room.
He wasn't surprised when he saw Juno peeling an apple and stopped when she noticed him. Dropping the knife and apple on the bed, she stood up without any pain and crossed her arms beneath her breasts and glared at him.
"Aren't you sleeping?" Storm asked in concern. He thought she would have been sleeping by now.
"So that you could sneak and kill me? Not a chance. Why are you here?" Kira asked with a heated gaze.
"You are getting better."
"Why wouldn't I get better? I need to get away from here and away from you." Kira answered.
"I am sorry okay," Storm apologized and slowly closed the distance between them. "Just find a place in your heart to forgive me, I'm truly sorry." he added softly.
Kira moves and closes the distance between them, tilting her head to stare right inside his eyes. "I can only forgive you when you drop de.ad so until that day don't waste your breath apologizing to me. I told you to die didn't I? I ha.te you, I ha.te you," Kira said and tried not to notice how she felt when she said those words. "You just hope that I don't have a single mark on me when Dean comes for me." she added with a smug.
"Juno," Storm began and then surprised her by going down on his knees. "I am sorry. I didn't know what came over me. I should have stopped myself, I shouldn't have blamed you. I was just angry that the promise I made to her father I couldn't keep so and I took out my anger on you. Sorry."
"Do I look as if I care?" she asks even though her heart flutters at the mere sight of Storm begging her on his both knees. "Like I told you before, I can only forgive you when you drop de.ad." she added.
Storm sighs sadly and stands up from where he knelt. He needed Juno's forgiveness. His eyes went to the bed and suddenly a thought came to his head. He knows what to do and he hopes it works.
Walk-in pass Juno, "So you won't forgive me?"
"Never," Kira said with her back on him.
Then he stretched forward on the bed and grabbed hold of the knife on it. "Until I am de.ad?" he asked. His plan should had better work.
"Yes, until you are dead." Kira said in affirmative.
"Goodbye then, I hope to see you in my next life," Storm said and raised the knife up with his right hand and slowly aimed it towards his heart area.
Hearing such words from Storm prompted Kira to turn around and saw the knife in Storm's right hand which was descending towards his heart. She quickly rushed to his side and stopped his arm, expertly removing the knife from his holding it tightly in her grasp. "What do you think you are doing? Do you really want to di.e?" Kira asked with her heart in her mouth. What if she wasn't quick to collect the knife from Storm? What if she was late? What if he had succeeded? What if....
"But you said unless I die that's only when you can forgive me," Storm said, thanking and congratulating himself inwardly for coming up with such a brilliant idea.
"I was just joking da.mn you," Kira said, hitting the back of Storm's head hard. "I didn't mean that." she added.
"So am I forgiven?"
"Of course, you are. Don't try such a thing again."
"Thank you Juno. Thank you," Storm said, pulling a surprised Kira for a hug. Kira made sure she fling the knife somewhere around the room--- not caring where it landed--- before she returned Storm hug. "I am so sorry." he added with his jaw pressed lightly on top of her head.
"It's okay, I forgive you. I just hope you learn to listen to me and trust me. I can't do anything to hurt you Storm," Kira said to him and he nodded his head in agreement.
"I know now Juno and I am sorry for not believing you and for acting harshly." Storm still apologized.
"I have heard you," Kira said with a smile as she released her hold on him. "Come and sit down on the bed with me." She added and went to the bed to sit, dragging Storm to sit beside her. Storm's hand rested on her lap as he took one of her hands and started playing with her fingers absent-minded. Though she noticed his new behavior towards her. "So tell me, why are you seeking my forgiveness and you even hugged me. Do you know how hard it was when I wanted to hug you or touch you in the past few days? Tell me the truth, what changed?" She asks, turning her head slightly to face him, Storm doing the same. Their heads are almost touching.
"You." Storm answered immediately.
"Me? What do you mean?" Kira asked not hiding her surprise from him. Her heart raced to hear his response.
"You are my light and I have been so horrible to you Juno," Storm said and heaved out a sigh. "And now that I have got to know the truth from my mother I can't let go of you, not now, not ever." he added with seriousness.
His words warmed Kira's heart and she smiled widely and then something that Storm said made her smile go to be replaced by a little frown. "Your mother? Have you found her?"
"Not yet but she is alive and out there somewhere," Storm said.
"She is alive? How did you know?"
"It's kinda complicated Juno but today made me realize how much my mother loved me and how she protected me." Storm replied. "Where are your pendant?" he asked suddenly.
Kira's free hand quickly went up to her neck and was surprised when she didn't find her pendant, she was barefoot so..." she quickly left the bed and went to the corner of the room where her boots were and turned them each upside down but nothing fell off. The second one too is gone.
"I can't find them," Kira said finally and turned around to face Storm. She tried not to panic but was doing a horrible job at that.
"It's okay, don't panic," Storm said, going to meet her and once again hugging her. "We will ask your father tomorrow and Rumi. They are the only ones that came in and your father stayed with the healer all throughout."
"It's the only pendant that I have that reminds me of my late mother," Kira's voice was muffled as her lips were pressed against his chest.
"Don't worry we will find it tomorrow, okay?" Storm said and Kira nodded her head.
"I don't want you to talk to Rumi or see her around you."
"It's done."
"You won't believe what she did to me, Storm. You will really find it hard to believe, even my father too. I just hope I will be able to unmask her real self she had shown me once before."
"And you will," Storm said and paused for a moment before he continued. "My mother loved me, Juno, and I thought she was selling me to my father while it was the opposite, though I am very grateful to my father for everything he has done for me."
"So about your mother, how do you intend to find her?" Kira asked.
"I don't know yet." Storm replied. According to his mother the pendant is the answer. Juno holds the key and that was written on the last page of the note he found and he keeps wondering what key his mother was talking about.
Juno is the key to what? He has no answer to that yet but the pendant is the key answering all his questions.
"But I will find her," he said. "I feel like standing here with you." he added, changing the topic.
"Really?" Kira asked and tilted her head to look into his eyes. She smiled at him once again and he smiled in return. "I feel the same way too." she added and yawned loudly. "It's late already and I am feeling sleepy."
Letting go of themselves, they went back to the bed and Kira immediately lay down on the bed and Storm removed his shirt leaving his chest open and climbed the bed. Immediately, Kira placed her head on his chest. Each of them savored the moment.
"I haven't eaten since today," Storm said and Kira lifted up her head to stare at him.
"Why?"
"Was thinking of you and I didn't know when time would pass." Storm answered. "But nevertheless I am content with you in my arms."
Kira smiled once again and slowly touched the scars on his left jaw.
She was mad at Rumi, angry at her for giving Storm his scars. Rumi should better get ready to get used to the upcoming scars on her face.
"How was it growing up with these scars?" Kira asked. If they had told her days ago that she would end up with Storm on his bed and staying so close with each other she would have killed whoever that has said it. Today made it possible for her to see Storm and even though she was scared of that Storm, she wasn't now, let's hope she doesn't get Storm this angry.
"It was nice mainly because I was at the Garden of Edenis and wasn't allowed outside. In there no one insulted me or made fun of my color. They understood me, and even Gwen when she first saw me, she hugged me instead of running away like I had expected."
"It was nice," Kira said and couldn't hide the yawn that escaped her mouth once again.
Few minutes later.
"Did you know that Gwen is your twin sister?" he said and was waiting for Juno's outburst and none was forthcoming. He peered and saw her fast asleep and shook his head.
Closing his eyes, he smiled in happiness but didn't notice the unknown red angry eyes staring at him.
The mysterious man was livid in anger.
Enough is enough.
