❤️ Why Can't You Feel The Same? (Part 2) ❤️
Ashland Kingdom: Storm's Room:
Once Gwen was through with her bathing and had changed her clothes, she unlocked the door and Morgan quickly came in with a small carriable basket of different fruits that has been washed.
"Why did you lock the door?" he demanded immediately.
"I went to have my bath," Gwen replied with a shrug and went to sit down on the bed and Morgan sat next to her.
"I brought you fruits since the palace cook is still cooking, I don't want you to wait for them," Morgan said, thrusting the full basket filled with fruits to its brim to Gwen.
"Thank you Morgan," Gwen thanked as she collected the basket from him and started eating the grapes first.
"Please eat to your fill, I know they must have starved you there, especially that stu.pid Kando."
"Would you stop talking about Kando like that in front of me?" Gwen said scowling at him "He didn't starve me."
"It doesn't matter Gwen, he kidnapped you and took you away from me." Morgan said, his jaw clenched, "I should have stopped him fast before-"
Gwen didn't allow him to finish his words. "That was his younger brother Cando and not him, leave Kando out of this." Gwen snapped. "I am back aren't I? So please stop getting on my nerves with your assumption."
Morgan's mouth was wide open with what he heard. "Are you really Gwenevere or is this another you? I thought you hated Kando."
"This is me Morgan and there was no time I told you I hated him, don't force words into my mouth, please." Gwen said her voice was muffled.
"I'm sorry Gwen, forgive me. I was just blaming myself for not doing something to bring you home quickly."
"It's okay," Gwen said with a smile.
Morgan watched silently as she resumed eating her fruits and soon she finished everything in the basket.
"Do you still want more?"
"No, I'm okay. This will do." she said, dropping the basket on the ground.
He placed one of his hands on her shoulder and didn't notice her tense briefly by his touch.
"What are you doing today?" Gwen asks as she forces herself not to remove the hand on her shoulder. "Don't you have something else to do instead of sitting here with me?" she asked.
"No, I don't have anything else to do. I can't leave you alone, you've been through a lot and also Kando might be waiting, hiding somewhere around to drag you back to the palace. I can't let that happen again. There won't be a repeat."
I wish it will happen just like you've said. Gwen thought and face was crimson bright as she saw Morgan staring at her. Has he heard her thoughts?
"But still yet I don't want to keep you here with me, you know your mother wouldn't like it." Gwen reminded him hoping that would make him leave her. She wants to be alone but doesn't want to hurt his feelings by asking him to leave.
"Nons.ense," Morgan said dismissively. "That won't happen, I'm a prince and I have every right to be wherever I want including being with you."
"But your mother-"
Interrupting her gently.
"I have talked to her and she has agreed to accept you as her daughter in-law." Morgan told her.
"Daughter in-law?" Gwen asked with raised brows, she couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Yes, I told her of my intention of getting married to you and after much argument, she finally gave her consent."
"Are you serious?"
"Damn serious Gwen. I want to marry you, I want you to be the first face I see in the morning and the face I see when I go to sleep at night. I want to be with you forever so will you agree? Will you marry me? I love you Gwen. I truly love you."
Gwen's jaw drops as she stares at Morgan with unbelievable eyes.
Marry you? It's too late Morgan, too late.
"What do you say?" Morgan urged. "You love me and you've told me that countless times."
"I did." but this is now different, the feelings have changed Morgan how do I tell you?
Gwen wondered as she stare at Morgan hopefully eyes looking at her. Did she still love him? Or was it because she spent the past two to three days with Kando that made her believe she was in love with him? But her heart won't lie to her. Without thinking, she leaned forward and pressed her lips against his. Testing out something. She ended the kiss abruptly. She has gotten the answers she needed. She wasn't confused like what Kando and Kira had thought. Kando has rui.ned her for other men.
"What is wrong Gwen?" Morgan's concerned voice asked, bringing her out of her deep thoughts. "You don't look happy at all? You suddenly kissed me and then you are wrinkling your nose as if..." he paused, then swallowed the lump on his throat, then suddenly bit his bottom lip. "Is everything okay with you?"
"Everything is fine Morgan, I am fine. I was thinking about something." Gwen answered. He wouldn't understand her new feelings.
"When I am here with you? What were you thinking, care to share?" He noticed how withdrawn Gwen has been towards him since last night. What is wrong with her? Did something happen to her in Kudarma that she is trying to hide? Why is she suddenly cold towards him?
Morgan thought. Earlier when he had touched her shoulder and felt her tense, he had pretended that didn't noticed. It had pained him and that made him wonder what had happened to Gwen.
"It's nothing serious." Gwen's voice brought him back to reality.
"So what about my proposal, why are you not saying yes?" Morgan said, his gaze not leaving hers, since she doesn't want to talk about it he wouldn't push her. "Or don't you like me anymore? Don't you see me the way I see you now? Is that why you don't want to marry me?" he asked. Was that why she has been behaving cold towards him? If that is the case he will make her change her mind about him. He wouldn't let her go not now that he had realized his love for her. He would do anything to make her his. She belongs to him but if it is not love that is bothering her then he will try within his power to make whatever she was thinking to go away so that he can bring back his old Gwen. He missed his old Gwen who will invade his privacy not this one that is trying to get away from his touch.
"No Morgan, it's not that. I really like you-"
Interrupting her as he stood up to his feet.
"That will do, let me go and inform my mother and everyone you've said yes to my proposal," Morgan said and leaned forward to kiss Gwen, cutting off any protests from her. "Love you so much Gwen." he added in a whisper and left a bewildered Gwen.
When had she said yes to his proposal? She really liked him but as a friend now.
Morgan was out of the room before she could call him back.
There is no need for testing if she still has feelings for Morgan, every feeling she has for Morgan has died but that wasn't her problem right now.
How can she see Kando and make him realize he is the one she wants. How can she make him believe her?
What will he be doing now? Is he safe? Has Dean done something horrible to him?

Palace Compound:
Kira was seen straddling a horse as Storm stood beside the horse, massaging the horse mane.
"Be careful." Storm told her.
"I can take care of myself and besides it's the house I grew up in," Kira said, rolling her eyes at Storm but smiling nevertheless. "I am not breakable, Storm." she added.
"I didn't say you are, but between the both of us you are breakable to me." Storm said with a wink and his lips were twitching. "But on a more serious note," he added with seriousness. "Be careful, if it was any other person I won't be repeating myself but this is Rumi we are talking about and not anyone else."
"Believe me I am always careful, more careful. The last time she got me was because I wasn't expecting an attack from someone close to me, she surprised me back then." Kira told him with a little frown on her face. "But now that I know better I am now wiser, don't worry I am an expert in making her angry." she added.
"Still yet don't let your guard down." Storm warned. He doesn't want anything to happen to his beloved.
"I won't." she promised.
"I don't know why I agreed not to follow you back to your house." Storm said feeling sick in his stomach. It wasn't as if he doubted Kira's abilities of taking care of herself but he just doesn't trust Rumi one bit and with what had caused him and Kira separation from when they were little, he doesn't want to take any chances. Rumi is dangerous and so is Kira but Rumi has magic and Kira doesn't.
Kira had forgiven him for what he had carelessly done to her so he doesn't want that to repeat itself or make her remember that day.
"I can take care of myself." Kira said smiling once again, her voice bringing him out of his thoughts.
"I know you can." he said returning her smile with his own. "I will miss you." he added running his eyes slowly over face and body. She was his and no one can say otherwise.
"I will be back before you know it." Kira told him and leaned forward to kiss him, meeting his eager lips halfway.
"I love you," Storm said once they broke off. "If I don't see you in the next one hour I will be coming to get you."
Kira laughed, kicked the horse on the side and left the palace. Three of his brothers came to meet him on their horseback.
"Follow her and make sure she doesn't know you are following her," he said and without exchanging any word, they left, following Kira.
Then he saw Fred walking aimlessly about. Walking up to him, he smiled as the younger man saw him approaching. Most times he has forgotten that Empress Rose gave birth to two sons and not just Morgan who tries to make himself known at any slightest giving.
"Fred, where are you going?"
"No where, just trying to move around the palace, you know stretching my muscles since no one remembers me."
"You hardly talk like your brother," Storm said. "You're always minding your business in the palace. I like that."
"That's what I am supposed to do. As the second son of the emperor I am made not to talk too much." he told Storm.
"Really?" Storm asks as he tries not to correct him when he says 'second son' If Fred is the second son what position is he then?
Nodding his head. "That's what my mother normally says to me. I grew up hearing these words and it became part of me. So I normally mind my business when it comes to the affairs of the palace. Everything is being done by Morgan, I'm just the smiling, silent and congratulating brother, but, if you could remember vividly, I talked angrily to you when you came back for father's burial." Fred explained, corners of his mouth rising.
"You did." Storm agreed.
"Yeah even though I didn't want to say anything to you, my mother made me. That's why I am always quiet since no one regards my words."
"I see," Storm mused and then slowly grinned up at him "Come on, I'm less busy and you are also. Let's train together." he added.
"Really? I mean of course, I would like to train with you," Fred said, jumping up and down. "I'd like to learn something new from you anyway." he added laughing.
Both headed towards the old training ground.
