❤️ Why Can't You Feel The Same? (Part 3) ❤️
Emera House:
Kira arrived at Emera house. Seeing the sorry state of the house fueled her anger against Rumi. Making sure her horse wasn't making any noise when entering the compound. She got down from her horse, tied it before she entered the house.
Moving quietly inside, she checked on Emera's room and when she didn't see Rumi she decided to check her room next but came to a halt when she heard noise coming from the kitchen area. Whoever that was making the noise was humming along.
Why didn't she hear that? Kira wondered as she started off the direction of the kitchen.
She was expecting to see Rumi but saw a strange woman instead cooking.
"Who are you and what are you doing in my father's house?" Kira's voice startled the woman who squeal like a kid that was caught stealing.
Sarah wasn't expecting anyone and so when she heard the voice she was startled a bit and when she turn around to glare at who it was, well, her color drained from her face when she saw the face. A rush of fear washed over her. Has Rumi gone to tell Juno? Is that why she was happy this morning? Was that why the blue-haired was here? That bas.tard, after everything I had done for her she ended up betraying me.
"Didn't you hear me, who are you and what are you doing in my father's house?" Kira repeated herself again.
Trying to not show her any fear. Then she realized what Juno had said. 'Who are you and father house' which means Rumi hasn't told her about her. Breathing out a deep breath.
"Good day to you my Lady. I'm Rumi's servant." She lied. It was the best way. "It hasn't been long since she employed me."
"A servant? Rumi has a servant and you spastic of a human didn't see how dirty the compound is and the over grown grasses."
"I am so sorry my Lady," the words rolled out from Sarah's mouth. "I will do that as soon as I finish cooking." she added with a forced smile.
"Oh no you will leave the cooking at once and go and clean the compound and clear the grasses after which you will come and clean the whole house thoroughly including the falling houses." Kira told her. "In case you don't know, I am the real lady- the real owner- of this house, my name is Juno. My father owns it which automatically makes me the owner. And Rumi is someone who my father took pity on years ago and raised her. Get to work."
"I am sorry my Lady, I will do that." Sarah said, face reddening. How dare this little brat tell her what to do. Does she know who she is talking to?
"I don't care to know who I am talking to. Who you are isn't my fuc.king business," Kira said at the astonished face of Sarah. "I didn't hear your thoughts, I just read you somehow." she added.
Sarah was caught off guard. How did Juno know what she was thinking? Does she have powers like her sister? She thought as she strode out of the kitchen to do what 'My Lady' had told her to do.
Kira followed her out of the kitchen and sat at the veranda as she watched Sarah get to work.
"What's your name? You never told me that."
'Why don't you read it out of me'
Sarah had to bite her tongue from snapping out the words to the girl getting on her nerves.
"Sara, my name is Sara."
"Sara," Kira said, testing the name on her lips. "Okay Sara, where is Rumi?"
"She left early this morning."
"Do you know where she went to?"
"Nope but she told me she wanted to see a friend and left early this morning."
"Okay. Enough of this talking and get to your work."
Sarah grunted her reply and went to work. She doesn't know between Juno and Rumi is more annoying.
She did as she was told, she cleared and swept the whole compound. Somehow when she misses some part, Kira was always there to point out the place she left. It was as if the little girl was mocking her. It was as if she was purposely doing this to her. If Adaoh gets to see her now, she would be a laughing stock. It was humiliating.
By the time Sarah was done, the sun was fully out and burning her skin. The compound looks clean, old but neat.
"You did a great job Sara," Kira said with a big smile. "Now come and clean the house. Hurry up, we have no time."
Sarah with a trudging body went to do as ordered.

Kudarma Kingdom: Dean Palace:
Dean was livid with anger, gritting his teeth.
He left his room, slamming the door behind him as she headed straight to Kando's room.
___
Cando was just returning to his room when he saw Dean matching angrily towards his brother's room. Seeing Dean look, Cando's heart hammered against his chest. He hurried up to catch up with Dean.
Kando, who was still resting his back against his room door, felt the angry aura of Dean and he knew right away that his master was coming to his room. He stood up and went away from the door, no sooner had he done that, his room door was kicked open by an angry Dean. How the door didn't fall off its hinges surprised Kando.
"Maste-"
Cutting him off abruptly.
"How dare you!" he shouted out. "How dare you Kando!!" his veins popping out.
"I don't understand you master, what have I done?" Kando asked and didn't block the fist heading his way. The impact of the blow made him land on the ground a few feet away from where Dean stood. He ignored the blood pouring out of his nose.
"You took my hostage away. I saw you. I saw how you fly her away," Dean said darkly as he walked towards Kando. "You lied to me that you didn't know where she was," he added, his red eyes becoming dark. "You gave her to Storm out of your free will. You fuc.king TRAITOR!!" He yelled out and bounced on him.
Cando entered the room and saw Dean punching Kando and his brother wasn't fighting back or trying to dodge the blow.
He rushed to help his brother but stopped as if he remembered something. It wasn't as if they couldn't hurt Dean or fight him back but he and his brother are binded by the help Dean did for them. Somehow they wouldn't hurt Dean even if they wanted to. Curse the bind that ties them to Dean. The least Kando could do was try to dodge the blows but the man wasn't doing anything. He doesn't want to lose his brother.
"Master, you will kill him," he pleaded. Hands shaking, he doesn't know what else to do. "Kando please dodge his-" he came to a halt when Rumi brushed past him only for her to stop and turn to stare at him.
"Why aren't you helping? Instead of standing and watching them, why can't you seperate them?" Rumi asked.
"I can't. I want to help but I can't. You won't understand. Please save my brother if you can."
Without another word, Rumi turns once again to look at Dean. She had been waiting for Cando until she heard the word 'Traitor' and the scent of blood filled the air, after all Cando room was three rooms away from his brother.
She walked over them and touched Dean on his shoulder.
"Dean, that's enough, you are going to kill him." she began but Dean around and grabbed her on her neck.
"I want him dead. Stay out of this." Dean growled out and fling Rumi to one corner of the room before returning his gaze on a bloody and badly beaten Kando. "You will make a nice snack for my dragon's."
"Master, please don't do that. He is the only one I have." Cando pleaded once again.
"One more word from you and you will join your brother." Dean threatened and with a wave of one of his hands Cando was thrown outside the room, he did that without taking his eyes off Kando.
Rumi slowly stood up to her feet, ignoring the pain from her neck, her hands clenched. First of all no one gets to fling her the way Dean just did and secondly she notices something faintly on Dean's forehead. It was invisible
It was not as if she was boastful or prideful but as a sorceress, she knows what that symbol she saw on Dean's forehead means, thanks to Sarah and the heap of magic books she had forced her to read when she was young. And the final one that fueled her already building anger. He had tossed Cando away as if he was a fly. That angered her.
"You want to play hard, huh?" she asked no one and then ran towards him.
Dean fist was coming once again towards Kando face, he made sure it was surrounded by fire. But before it could land on its target, Rumi was already in front of him, catching his incoming fist and then using the other free hand to put on his forehead. He was livid with more anger and as he tried to put his anger on Rumi, woman or no woman, she deserved what he was about to do to her. He suddenly started rubbing his eyes, yawing in process, as he tried to keep his eyes open but failed woefully.
He collapsed on the floor, not moving.
Rumi felt Cando's presence behind her but she Ignored him for now and focused on the man on the floor, kneeling close to the body.
She turns him around so that he can face her then proceeds to place her both hands on Dean's forehead and starts speaking in a strange language. Once she was done, she removed her hands from his forehead and stared at it, there was no sign of the X symbol anymore. Self congratulating herself as she stood up to her feet. What she did had drained all her strength and had made her tired but she tried not to show it.
She saw Cando carrying his brother with care and going to the bathroom. Soon he came out of the bathroom alone.
"Water helps us heal quickly." Cando said the girl had surprisingly helped and he wondered how powerful she was.
"Heal quickly?" Rumi asked with raised brows.
"Yes we heal quickly, we are not like you humans." Cando explained and left the room, Rumi went to sit on the bed. She felt like sleeping but she couldn't.
Cando soon returned with some servants who came with their cleaning tools. No one needed to tell Rumi why they were here. Kando blood was everywhere.
He carried Dean out of the room and this made Rumi stand up and follow him. Opening Dean's room, he gently put the sleeping man on the bed then turned to face Rumi.
"What did you do to him?"
"Nothing, I removed the controlling spell placed on him. He will wake up once he is well relaxed." Rumi said.
"Oh, I didn't know he was being controlled, I mean my brother knew there was something wrong with him but not this. Who could have the guts to control him?" Cando said with clenched fists as he turned to face her.
"I don't have an answer to that Cando," Rumi said. "Though I wondered why you didn't want to help your brother."
"I told you, I wanted to help him, to stop my master from hurting him, but I can't."
"And why is that?"
"He saved us and we are bound to him. We can't hurt him." Cando explained. "Thank you for saving my brother from him. I wouldn't have known what to do if you weren't there, Rumi. Thank you."
"Is that all you're going to say?"
"What else do you want me to say?" Cando asked with raised brows. "Isn't 'thank you' enough for you?"
"No," Rumi said, closing the distance between them, her eyes sparkling when he made no move. He was just watching her. "It isn't enough Cando." she added stopping when their clothes were both touching.
"What else do you want from me?"
"Your attention." she began and then suddenly fell down. But before her body could touch the ground, Cando caught her and placed a finger under her nose. He breathed a sigh of relief.
Just like Dean, Rumi was sleeping. Without much thought, he carried her in his arms, placing one hand under her knee and the other in her back, and headed to his room.
He couldn't help but notice how soft her body was.
