❤️ Why Can't You Feel The Same? (Part 4) ❤️
He carried her to his room and gently placed her on his bed, covered her up and then went back to see his brother.
Kando's wounds were already healing by the time he came and the water inside the bathtub was red.
"You weren't defending yourself Kando, do you want him to kill you? Did you want to die?" Cando caution once he was in his brother's bathroom.
Kando shrugged his shoulders slowly but didn't say anything. That wasn't his least concern right now.
"Even if you want to die, it shouldn't be in his hands. I can't believe you want to leave me all alone in this world and you know perfectly well that you are the only one I have," Cando said his heart aches at that thought. "My only brother and you want to leave me all alone?"
"But I didn't Cando, your witch saved the day." Kando said with a big smile on his face. Seeing his brother's shaky voice woke up something in him. He felt guilty that he didn't even think about his little brother. "If it wasn't for your witch, who knows what might happen. You would have lost me by now." he added nevertheless. Thankfully Rumi was there at the right moment.
"Stop talking like that, you are not going anywhere any time soon and stop calling her 'my witch' she is not 'my witch.' She was just here at the right time."
"If you say so brother, I have no strength for argument." Kando told him. "What happened to our master, is he dead yet? I saw him collapse from whatever your witch did to him."
"He is not dead, a witch can't kill him. Anyway she said something was controlling him and she had removed it though." Cando said, ignoring his 'your witch' part.
"Really? I knew it. I knew it. When I saw that symbol on his forehead I knew something was wrong with our master. I haven't seen him with that symbol since I have been with him," Kando said. "Where is she though, I want to thank her personally." he added a second later.
"She fainted when I took our master to his room and I kept her in my room." Cando responded. "How are you feeling now brother? Are you still in pain?" he asked.
"If I was in pain I wouldn't be talking to you," Kando said and then sigh out loudly. "I'm fine." he added. Truly he doesn't feel much pain like before but he has to rest. "Didn't I say it was strange that our master would let me go back then in the throne room?"
"Yeah, you said that. Maybe whoever that is controlling him thought he would get angry when you told him about Gwen's disappearance but got the opposite. I wonder how he did it."
"Did what?"
"How he made our master know you flew Gwen out of the Palace unless..."
"We are being watched by him." they said in unison.
"I have got to tell your witch to cast a spell around the palace to blind whoever it is eyes."
"Kando for the last time she is not my witch. She has a name, Rumi."
"Okay, so will you tell your Rumi?"
"Ugh," he groaned and glared at Kando, though not seriously, "When she wakes up we might ask her."
"Good," Kando said and relaxed more in the bloody water.
"Why didn't you defend yourself?" Cando repeated his previous question. "You could have at least dodged his punches. That's what we normally do."
"Cando you won't understand."
"I will understand," Cando said. "I think I know why you're doing this. It is because of Gwen isn't it? You want to die because you did the right thing by letting her go to be with who she really wants? This is why I ha.te love." he added after a while. "You will be fine. In a few years to come you'd look back and laugh how stupid it was."
"If our master didn't kill me before then." Cando didn't say a word to that. "Speaking of love, why didn't you put her in a guest room instead of your room?" Kando asked with a knowing gaze.
"Don't look at me like that, it was the closest to your room and I want to keep an eye on her."
"Oh brother-"
Interrupting him gently. "Not another word." Cando said and bent slightly to turn Kando's head from one end to the other and was satisfied with what he saw. He straightened up. "I will check on you later."
"Cando," that stopped the younger brother from moving. "I'm sorry." Kando didn't need to elaborate on why he was apologizing.
Cando smiled and left the room to his.

Ashland Kingdom:
Emera House:
"I am through, is there anything else I can do my Lady?" Sarah asked with clenched teeth, her eyes were narrowed in anger as she stared down at Kira.
"Clean the house and be fast about it, once you are done. You can continue your cleaning." Kira told her and stood up from where she sat. The compound now looks a bit cleaner in the eyes than before.
"Of course my Lady," Sarah said and entered the house, stopping herself from grumbling out loud.
Old memories flooded in her brain and she smiled. Going to the spot she vividly remembered they had buried Grace, she touched what was left and smiled at no one.
"Thank you for taking care of me until your final days mother. You took really good care of me like I was your own and I am still finding it very hard to believe you are not my biological mother," Kira said in soliloquy in a muffled voice. She tried to prevent tears from falling but couldn't. "I wish you didn't leave this world but we can't fight fate. I promise that I will make sure Rumi pays for your death." she added and cleaned her tears away. She cleared her throat.
She left the grave and went back inside and saw Sarah sweeping and cleaning her old room.
"So where do you sleep?" Kira asked casually.
"In the guest room my Lady."
At least Rumi didn't give Sara her room to sleep in. Kira thought.
"Okay. I will be going back to the Palace. Once Rumi returns, tell her that I came to visit her and didn't meet her. She hasn't visit father and he is worried and he wants her to come, he wants to see her, left for me, she should go to hell." Kira told her. "She probably knows about that." she added with a shrug.
"I will do as you say."
"I will be coming to check on this house every now and then so make sure it's kept clean like today, do I make myself clear?"
"Yes my Lady."
"Good," without saying another word, Kira went to where her horse was, straddled it and left the compound.
Sarah leaves the broom she was holding and stretches her body. If she had known that Juno would be stopping by, she would have left after Rumi. And now she has done the work Rumi wouldn't even tell her to do. Juno, if not that I have been rendered powerless by your stu.pid sister I would have done something to you. I always tell myself that I am not useless but today just proved how useless I really am. I will have a word with Rumi when she returns. She can't just take all my powers from me." she said to herself, kicking the broom as if it had offended her and went to close the gate then went to the kitchen to continue her cooking. if by the time Rumi returns and she wasn't through with her cooking, what Juno did to her is small compared with what Rumi might do.

Palace:
It was a tie between the two Princes and Storm smiled down at Fred who was resting on the floor. He was holding back when he was fighting him and didn't want to hurt him but surprisingly to him, Fred turned out to be good with sword, very good.
"You are good Fred, where did you learn to do that, I mean fight?" Storm asked, grinning from ear to ear.
"Oh I learned. My father taught me some skills which I picked up and learn it on my own pace with ease." Fred replied with an equal grin as Storm held out one of his hands to help him up which he gladly took. "You?"
"I was taught by my late master in the Garden of Edenis and also by our father too." Storm answered. They left the training room together, giving the swords they used in training to a guard they saw.
"He taught you too?" Fred asked in surprise. Storm didn't need any soothsayer to tell him which of the 'he' Fred meant.
"Yes. And when he stopped coming and started sending me letters I was a bit sad and even got sadder when I heard of his death. Maybe if he hadn't left the last time I saw him, maybe he wouldn't have been ill and neither would he have been killed." Storm explained trying not to show any sign of sadness. Speaking of his father had brought sadness to him.
"Don't beat yourself up, Storm, you should wake up to the reality of life. Nothing ever goes as planned in this cursed world of ours."
"Meaning?"
"Being alone hurts worse than pain. You won't understand even if I explain to you. I want to be strong just like Morgan, just like you."
Storm grinned at him. "Then just become stronger. I have my ambition, you have your ambition too. Which means you should just keep walking forward towards that goal. Are we friends? Or are we foes? That's the kind of thing we decide for ourselves, right?"
Fred returned his grin with one of his own. "If you want to compare ambitions, mine is bigger."
"Where have you been!?" Morgan yelled out at them as he approached. "I have been searching for both of you," he added.
"We were training," Fred said. "And I was learning new skills from Storm," he added.
"So who won?" Morgan asked, staring from one brother to the other. Both shrugged at his question at the same time which made him remember why he was looking for them in the first place. "Guess what?"
"I am not good at guessing." Storm said.
"Let me guess, mother has finally agreed-"
Interrupting him. "Nope, I haven't told our mother yet. Anyway, Gwen has finally agreed to marry me." He finally said.
There was a minute of silence then a big smile appeared on Fred's face. "I am so happy for you." he said, jumping up and down. "When is the wedding? I hope I get to decorate it?"
"Soon, I haven't told mother yet though." Morgan said.
"Oh don't worry about her, what will she do? She will only shout for a while but can't stop you from getting married to the woman of your choice, the woman you choose to be with," Fred told his brother. "What matters is your happiness and you fully have my support."
"Thank you," Morgan said and hugged his brother then returned his gaze back to Storm who had been quiet.
"If Gwen agrees to marry you, who am I to stop her from doing that? Congrats Morgan. Just treat her right." Storm said smiling.
"You don't need to worry about that brother. I will always treat her right, have no fear about that."
"I trust you." Storm told him.
"If you will excuse us, I want Fred to be present when I tell our mother," Morgan said, dragging Fred by his hand before Storm would talk.
Storm looked up at the sky and wondered why Juno wasn't back yet. He was about to go get his horse when he heard the neigh of Juno horse and soon enough she entered the compound.
She gave her horse to a guard who had rushed to her side and went to meet Storm. She loved how Storm was taking his time to run his eyes over her as she approached and she made sure she was swaying her hips.
"Tease." Storm muttered, which made Kira laugh.
"You're sweating?" It wasn't a question. Kira noticed the trail of sweat on Storm's neck and his soaked clothes.
"If I am like this then you need to see Fred's own," Storm said with a grin.
Storm laughed a bit then stopped. "I am happy with the one I am seeing right now."
"You won't believe what I just heard." he became serious.
Kira wonders how Storm will be smiling and the next minute he is frowning as someone who doesn't know what a smile is. But it suited him just fine, whether he was smiling or not.
"And what can that be?"
"Gwen, she is getting married to Morgan."
"I don't understand." Kira said with raised brows.
"She agrees to marry Morgan, well according to him," Storm said. "And you were telling me something else last night." he added, rolling his eyes at her.
"That's impossible. She told me she isn't in love with him this very morning," Kira said, making sure her voice was low for only Storm to hear her.
"Well that was not what I heard now."
"This just shows she doesn't know what she wants and maybe she has made up her mind to go with Morgan instead of Kando."
"Whatever, I will ask her myself and whatever her answer is, I will accept. I don't joke with her."
"And me?" Kira asked playfully.
Pulling her to his body.
"You know you come first before any other person. Gwen is my sister so-"
Interrupting him. "I know."
"Want to bathe with me?"
"Sure, but Gwen is in our room."
"So?"
"So don't try anything in the bathroom."
"We will see," he said with a wink.

Kudarma Kingdom: Dean Palace:
An hour later Rumi woke up and saw Cando standing not too far from the bed and was staring at her. It didn't creep her out, in fact she likes it.
"You're finally awake, Rumi." Cando said.
"Yes, I think I fainted. I was tired of what I did."
"I know."
"Has it been long since I passed out?" she asked.
"More than one hour." Cando responded.
Rumi noticed she was back in his room and bed.
"How did I get here?" she asked getting off the bed.
"You flew. You needed to see, it was a magical sight." Cando responded. "By the way, you are very heavy." he added.
"I am sorry about that." Rumi apologized. What he had said had hurt her a bit but she wouldn't show him that side of hers. Her boots and clothes were intact. "I think it's time for me to head home." she added and made to pass Cando when suddenly he grabbed hold of her arm and brought her dangerously close to his body.
"I didn't say you should leave yet."
