150: Epilogue
❤️ Revelations (Part 1) ❤️
Without wasting time, Storm ran up to meet him.
With his free hand, he dodged Storm's attack and flew away from the spot holding onto Kira, both of them dangling mid-air. "Kill all of them, spare no one!" he ordered the five Edgardo's he had created. And he disappeared with Kira.
The five Edgardo's fought against Kando, Cando, Emera and Morgan.
Taking a deep breath he didn't chase after them, instead he bent them and picked up one of the swords of the undead armies, they were not dead he could sense it. Fred had put them in a deep sleep, but they are not his problems right now. The metal liquid once again entered the sword and without wasting time, he killed the five Edgardo's by cutting and burning their bodies afterwards he destroyed the tracing paper painting they came out from.
Dragging a chair from the table, he turned the chair around so that it was facing the palace gate. He crossed his legs, closed his eyes.
"Won't you go after him? He took Juno with him." Morgan stated. He was surprised when he saw Storm sitting down instead of pursuing his brother.
Storm ignored him, his eyes set at the gate before him.
Morgan opened his mouth to say something when suddenly his brother was seen at the entrance gate looking around him in surprise, he opened his mouth to say something again when Fred shrieked and disappeared once again and a minute later he appeared closer to where Storm was sitting.
"Why can't I leave the palace, what did you do to me?" Fred snarled at him in anger.
"That's because I already know ahead of time that you will try to leave the palace and hide yourself. I am sick and tired of that so I had to block that." Storm replied to him calmly as he stood up. "If your gift is painting and bringing whatever you draw to life, do you think I don't know how to block someone like you from leaving?" He added.
Grinding his teeth harder, he pushed Kira angrily to the ground without his eyes waving off from Storm. A sword appeared in his hand.
Kira fell down with a thud and tried to get up but still couldn't.
"You will be sorry for ruining my plans. I will make sure of that."
"Let me not keep you waiting Fred, come and fight me and stop running around like a child." Storm told him, holding the sword with him tighter.
That angers Fred and he attacks Storm.
They fought without mercy and soon enough they saw blood flying around as they moved around the whole palace.
"Shouldn't we help him? We will sneak behind Fred and kill him." Cando whispered to his brother.
"No, this is Storm's fight and we are not permitted to join Cando. Our work here is done, we just have to watch and wait for Storm to win." Kando told his brother as they watched the messy fight.
At last, Fred succeeded in grabbing Storm's neck, and holding it tightly on his grasp. The sword in Storm's hand fell off to the ground as he tried to free himself.
"I've got you where I want," he said and he brought Storm closer to him. "You lose everything." he added and started bringing his other hand close to Storm's heart.
"Isn't this the only way to get you closer to me?" Storm managed to say between gasp and before Fred could say J.A.C.K he felt hands on his forehead and he discovered he couldn't move.
Fred tried to summon his power and get out of Storm hold but was surprised when nothing happened.
"It's useless Fred." Storm told him, not removing his hands from Fred's forehead and closing his eyes.
No one spoke anything, all around them was as silent as a graveyard.
Fred's red eyes were slowly going until his normal black eyes were staring at nothing. Whatever spell he placed on Kira was gone and she was quickly up to her feet and went to meet Storm.
Storm let out a deep sigh and let go of Fred.
"Are you okay?" Kira asked in concern. Storm opened up his eyes to look at her which made Kira gasp out in shock. His eyes weren't mismatched anymore, they were purely red now.
Smiling at her, "I'm fine now."
"What did you do to him?" Kira asked as she stared at Fred who hadn't moved from his spot.
"Killing him isn't always an option so I took his powers and memories away. He only remembers his name." Storm answered, he returned his gaze back to Fred. "Go and sit down, Fred." he ordered and to Kira's surprise, Fred obeyed.
"So is it really over?" She asked.
Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath slowly. He nodded his head. "It's really over."
"So what are we going to do with them?" Emera asked, pointing at the still unconscious undead armies.
Storm didn't answer, instead, one by one, they were lifted up from the ground and piled up in one corner of the Palace and he lit them up. Burning them.
__
Early the next morning, the bodies of Gwen and Rumi were buried at the palace, beside the late Emperor.
Morgan, Kando and his brother cried the highest.
"It's okay Cando, you don't have to disturb the whole of Ashland with your cries. They are gone and no amount of tears can bring them back." Kando told his brother. "There is nothing we can do brother."
Cando glared at his brother but didn't say anything. He had felt it was a dream when they brought out Rumi's body to be placed at the six feet dug and was expecting her to rise up and laugh at his face but nothing of such happened.
It was real. It was real when they started covering up her grave. He prayed and hoped he was given a second chance but it didn't work. Even though they had covered up the ground they had put her in, he couldn't leave the place yet.
"I thought you never loved her, I'm surprised to see your eyes are puffing and red."
"I loved her, I just never knew that it will be strong. I wish I was given a second chance to tell her how I feel. She should have known my love for her before her death."
"It's okay Cando, I understand. I miss Gwen too."
"Yeah, at least she gave you a child to remember her with," Cando said sadly. "How I wish I was given an opportunity like you have but still I wouldn't want Rumi dead in it."
Kando nodded his head, he knew his brother was hurt just like he was. His child was with Phoenix, he doesn't know what baby eats but Storm's mother does and that's what she and Kira were doing in Storm's room.
He saw Morgan looking sad as he sat down at the grave of Gwen. Kando felt pitiful to him. He had lost the woman he loves, both of them.
Kira came to meet them. "We will be leaving soon so the both of you should get yourself ready."
"To Kudarma I guess?" Cando asked.
"No, not Kudarma."
That grabbed the attention of Cando who looked at Kira in surprise.
"Then where else are we going if we are not staying in Ashland? Who will rule over Dean's place?"
"We will be leaving for the Garden of Edenis as Storm doesn't want to rule either Ashland or Kudarma. Morgan will take over Ashland and Fred will take over Kudarma under Morgan's guidance." Kira told them and went back inside Storm's room to meet Phoenix.
Storm was seen with Empress Rose. Fred was sleeping I'm Empress Rose room.
"Thank you so much for everything, Storm. After everything I did to you." Empress Rose thanked him. She was surprised when he told them he wants nothing to do with the throne and that he was only here to find his father murderer and that's all. "Are you sure Fred will be okay?" she asked, staring into his two deep red eyes. What if Fred attacked them after they have gone?
"He will be okay. The memories of Edgardo has been removed so your job is to teach him how to be good and a good King since I want him to be the one who takes over Kudarma. I will be watching and if there is trouble, I will be here before you blink your eyes."
"I don't know how to thank you Storm even when I wasn't kind to you at all."
"We are family and that is what matters." Storm told her and left her to meet Morgan who hasn't left Gwen's grave. Ignoring the brothers stares, he touched Morgan on his shoulders. "Maybe in your next life you might meet her but for now, don't dwell in agony. You will meet someone who will love you. Life goes on brother, don't make it too hard on yourself besides, Gwen wouldn't want to see you like this."
Morgan stood up and embraced Storm, hugging him like his life depended on it.
"Just go back to the way you were before Gwen came into your life. It will be hard for us but we've gotta try." Storm told him. "There are a lot of deaths, people died in the battle, so crying and mopping in one place won't clean it up." He added.
"Does her death not affect you?" Morgan asked once they disengaged from their hug.
"It does Morgan but I have a life ahead of me and I know Gwen won't want me to be like this forever." Storm told him.
"I will try." He will try to forget Gwen, to forget the pain she had caused him. He will try.
"Good, when Fred wakes up, be there for him and teach him everything again since he won't be remembering everything. Don't forget, I will be watching." Storm reminded him.
"Thank you for everything, Storm, especially for sparing the life of Fred. I wouldn't have ever guessed you would let him live."
Storm shrugs.
"Won't you take gold and silver coins with you?" Morgan suggested.
"There will be no need for that Morgan. If I ever need anything, I will come. I will be welcomed with open arms, right?" Storm asked, grinning a little.
"Of course, it's your kingdom after all and I am very grateful you gave me and my brother the chance. I promise you, we will never take it for granted." Morgan promised.
"I hold on to your words Morgan," Storm said. "You need to clean up the Kingdoms."
Nodding his head slowly. "I will."
"Kira!" Storm shouted. "It's time to go."
"We are leaving right now?" Cando demanded, staring at Rumi's grave and back to Storm.
"Yes, unless you want to stay back." Storm replied and Cando didn't say anything. They waited until Kira showed up with a small bag that contained Gwen's and his clothes. Phoenix, who was carrying Gwen's baby, also came outside. Emera too was seen coming to meet them with his own bag.
"We are ready." Kira announced as the eight assassins came to meet them on their horses. Two horses were empty and Storm climbed on one and Emera climbed behind him. Kira climbed on the other empty horse which belonged to Gwen and waited until Phoenix also sat behind her.
Waving at Empress Rose and his brother bye, they left Ashland for the Garden of Edenis. He had come with ten of his assassins brothers and Gwen but he was leaving without them being complete.
"Who would have thought that he would give up the throne for you Morgan and not kill your brother. Hope you learnt something from this," Empress Rose said to her son as they both watched Storm and co leave the palace premises. "I told you that girl wasn't meant to be with you as if I knew she would die."
"That's enough mother, give some respect to the dead. Even in death I still love her and nothing will change my heart."
Empress Rose didn't say a word to that, she just shrugs her shoulders.
"In form Marcus he has the Warlord position back since Emera left with Storm." She told her son and went to her room.
