After a heavy silence with the elder's pondering on what was said by Camila, one of them, failing to read what was going inside Alpha Killan's head, asked, "What do you say about this, Alpha?"
Alpha Killan was lost in his thoughts, maybe because he was mentally far away and had no idea what was going on or because Camila's speech had touched his heart like the others, and he remained unmoved, staring at the city below him. Alina, who had started to panic, thinking that Alpha Killan would take Camila's advice and go through the CCTV footage she had forgotten to clean after her schemes, nudged him, "Baby, the elders have asked a question." She whispered, but everybody had heard her given the silence that had reigned in there.
"Baby?" Camila sneered inwardly, still not believing that they had been playing her all this time.
"Yeah," he stammered, coming out of his world. After clearing her throat, he said, She'll be locked at the dungeon with fifty whipps every day for two days and then taken to the servant quarters where she'll be doing all the choes because I, Alpha Killan of this pack, announce that she's guilty." he pronounced, and Camila could see Alina sighing in relief. "Guards, take her to the dungeon!" he ordered, and suddenly two hefty guards who were standing outside the office door walked in to take her to her new home. Before that, Alina smirked at her and mouthed some words at her, which she clearly understood. "I told you!" That's what she said.
"Of course you told me," she mummered. Alpha Killan had already pronounced her guilty, despite her telling him to investigate the matter or hire private investigators. "How could I have let myself swim in his lies?" She asked herself, finally letting the tears she had been holding down to the brim out of her eyes as she was dragged out of the office to the stinky dungeon. Her life was now over, and once again she was reduced to a slave. She was back at her father's house. She didn't know why, but it hurt just to think that she would be a slave in her mate's house. She accepted it at her father's house because she knew she wouldn't have to live there forever, but at her mate's house, where she was to live forever, it was much worse and more painful than she had thought.
Whispers filled her ears while she was taken out of the palace—the dungeon was located at the back of the palace. Some workers sympathized with her, while others, who had despised her from the start, marveled because, according to them, she deserved it. She also heard people discussing Alina's pregnancy and her being Luna from then on, and some of them who were not happy with the fact that Killan had been cheating on her for six months just bowed their heads, just like her, fearing to voice out their thoughts and anger the alpha. Camila knew soon that the news would reach every country in the world, and for the little hope she still had in her heart that her father would one day love her and accept her as his daughter, she hoped that he would hear about the accusations and come forward and say that it was all a lie.
All she had no idea of was that it was Alina who had gained access to the laptop by pressing Alpha Killan's thumb on the scream when he was asleep, which preserved all the pack secrets and sent the secrets to Alpha Cameroon because she was working for him as his spy, and with his help they succeeded in hiring an expert whom they later murdered. They gave him Camila's prints, which she had taken from her while she was asleep, and how they put them on the laptop was something that they didn't know, but they cared less and decided to frame her.
"It's done, sir." Alina, who was standing on the balcony, said something on the phone and then hanged up. She then wore a smile on her face, sneaked back to the room before Alpha Kilan could see her, and kissed him on the cheek. "Baby, I am a bit hungry. I'll go see what those chefs have prepared." She excused herself, but her real destination was the dungeon where Camila was locked in. The only thing that Alina also had no idea of was that the person she had been conversing with, thinking it was Alpha Cameroon, had never been him but Larrisa. With the help of a hacker, she altered the speaker of her laptop and made it sound like a father's, and she used it to contact Alina in the name of her father because, among the traitors that had been sneaked into Alpha Killan'a's pack, one of them was her spy, who had told her that Alina despised Camila just like she did.
Larissa was married to Ash just like she had wanted, but not even once had she seen him happy, and he made it clear that he agreed to the alliance to save his parents. Larissa looked for whom to blame, and when their memories of childhood flocked to her mind, she came to the false conclusion that Ash didn't love her because of Camila. Since that day, she has sworn that she will ruin her life and avenge it, and thus she'll be dead. Ash will be left with no choice but to fall in love with her. She had gone through Ash's sketch book, and it was full of Camila's pictures. She hid many of his sketch books, burned them, and threw them away, but Ash would still draw her. She had had enough, so she decided to ruin her by using Alina to make her life a living hell.
Her poor father had no idea of what was going on because, years ago, after Camila saved him and his wife from Alpha Killan's wrath for selling her to him and because she was his mate, he swore to never involve himself with Camila's issues and that he would forget about her. He was aware of the fact that it was because of Camila that his pack was still running. Alpha Killan would have taken it from him and merged it with his because he had yet to pay his debt, but he left it with him. Although he still mistreated people and made them go through hell, he never dared to do that to anything that belonged to Killan. Unlucky for him, he had no idea that his daughter was using him and that a huge mistake had already been made.
"I wonder what life is like in here?" A familiar voice echoed in the dungeon.
"Haven't you gotten what you wanted, Alina?" Camila asked with a tired voice. She was still nursing the wound she had gotten from the alpha's guards. They had whipped her so badly that the night clothes she had been wearing since morning were torn into pieces. The mark left on her bark burned, and when she tried to scratch the itchy place on her back, she was shocked when her fingers touched the wetness left there. Blood had slipped to the extent that it had accumulated and made a pool at her feet.
"I didn't think that you would accept defeat that quickly." Alina laughed, wrinkling her nose at the foul scent coming from there. Because the dungeon was horribly built, when it rained, some water always got in there. There was sewage that passed through there, and the blood scattered on the ground and walls did nothing but worsen the situation.
"What did you expect me to do, Alina, if not accept my defeat?" She sighed, biting her lower lip because of the surging pain. Her gaze was still locked on the wall, but not Alina's. "I wonder what he'll do when he finally realizes your true nature?" She chuckled, her brown irises darting here and there as she looked at the big blue resting on the wall. "I really envy that fly. Although it's locked with me in here, it can still get out of here when it wants to because its wings will help it fly to the crack above me and squeeze itself out." She sighed, thinking to herself.
"He would do nothing, bitch! And I'll advise that you don't mention his name ever again because, as you know, he's mine!" Alina's harsh voice echoed through the dungeon, jarring Camila's thoughts. Camila shook her head, smiled, and then remained silent. She knew that Alina was in there for a reason, and she wouldn't be giving her any chance to make it again.
"For my win, I brought some wine with me; you wanna drink?" Alina asked after some time, getting bored with Cama's silence. Camila, who had had enough of her voice, jerked up from the ground, grabbed the bottle of wine from her hands, and threw it against the wall. "Listen, Alina, I really don't know what you want from me, but please get out of here." She asked her nicely. Alina, who hadn't expected Camila to talk back, growled, "How dare you talk back to your Luna?" She screamed, pulling at her hair.
"Let go; you are hurting me." Camila yelled, trying to push her away, but Alina was stronger compared to her. She had a wolf while she didn't; her body was covered by wounds, thus weakening her, but Alinas wasn't.
"Let go? Never!" She glared harshly at her, gritted her teeth together, and slapped her hard across the face. "Fight me, bitch. Fight me, little bitch!" She dared her while scratching her face: "I told you, Camila, I told you that the day I win, I'll make you pay for all what you have done. Do you remember how you snatched my man from me, made him despise me, made him ignore me for you, and that one time during your nineteenth birthday when I tried to kiss him? He embarrassed me right in front of the whole pack, calling me a bitch, and for that, both you and him shall pay. You know what? I not only sent his secrets to your father, Camila, but to all packs that despise him, and now he'll suffer, have no choice but punish the wrong person because no one, I repeat no one, will be allowed to treat Alina Mellow that way. You got it!" She yelled and pushed her away, and because she had no energy left on her, she stumpled away, hitting her head against the wall.
Camila groaned on the ground, trying to digest all she had heard. At that moment, she wished that she could have turned the speaker of her phone on and recorded her, or that someone could be inside there and hear all of that. She blinked rapidly, trying to get rid of the stars flickering in her eyes because he knew that by accepting them, she would fall into darkness. The last thing she wanted was to pass out in front of Alina because, as she knew, she might even end up struggling to her death in her unconsciousness. She heard Alina laughing, and she knew she wasn't done with her yet. She laughed that way whenever she was about to do something or say something.
"Lemme tell you something else, Camilla, or whoever you call yourself," she spat on her legs, kicked her so that she could sleep on her back, pulled by her hair, and whisphered against her ears, "listen carefully, you little bitch, this baby I am carrying is not your mate's but my boyfriend's." She laughed. "And another thing, it's not that you can't give birth, but I always mixed your favorite tea, juice, or coffee every day with pills so that you wouldn't get pregnant. Don't get shocked because it was your personal maid who always helped me with that. All your maids are my spies, if you don't know about that." Camila's eyes widened in shock when she heard this. She felt some energy coming back to her body, and she struggled to stand.
"What do you mean by mixing pills with my tea?" She asked, tears threatening to fall from his eyes.
"Have you ever heard of emergency pills? Well, you have been drinking them since I appeared in your life." She laughed, loud enough to wake the dead, and then walked out of there, leaving Camila behind with tears in her eyes. Emergency pills are taken for a reason, and there was a reason why they were called emergency pills, so if she has been drinking them for a year, is her womb still healthy? Will she ever be able to nurse a baby in her womb? "No, no, I have to see my doctor and tell her all this." Camila panicked, trying to get out of there, but the door in front of her, which she banged her head on, reminded her of where she was. At the dungeon, where she can't get out.
"This is not fair!" She cried, falling to the ground on her knees.
