Alpha Killan panicked when he saw Alina groaning in pain. He took out his phone to call an ambulance, but he came back to his senses and realized that they were already at the hospital and in the parking lot. Whisphering some calming words against Alina's ears, he carried her in his arm in a bridal style and made his way inside the hospital. Alina, who flicked her eyes open after she felt herself floating in the air, asked worriedly, coming to the realization that she had overdone her act. "Where are you taking me, honey?" She asked him.
"To the hospital, you'll get treated, and after you get better, I'll take you home," he told her, quickening his pace.
"No, we can't," she said, jumping from his stands, panicking. She knew if she got in there, the doctor would realize that she was not bleeding at all, but she was lying and would tell Alpha Killan the truth, thus making him not trust her anymore.
Alpha Killan, who was shocked at how a sick person who couldn't even sit properly could now jump around despite being in terribly painful pain, asked her in shock, "Why can't we? And why are you standing? Are you okay now?" he asked. Alina cursed inwardly, and to avoid getting caught, she quickly sat on the ground, groaning while clutching her tummy.
"The anestethic smile is bad for the baby in the first few months. My doctor told me," she lied when Alpha Killan gave him a confused expression.
"Oh, sorry them I'll take you home, and we will call your doctor," he said, picking her up from the ground and hurriedly walking back to the car. After making sure she was sleeping peacefully in the back seat, he zoomed back home. After making sure Killan was only focusing on the road and not her, Alina sat down, sighing in relief. She can't even believe that even after paying the guards the two million dollars she had promised them, they still had the guts to stalk her and demand more money.
Now each one of them was demanding five million more dollars or else they'd expose her. They started that demand a month after Camila fell into a coma. She tried to ignore their calls and minimize going out, but they started stalking her. She somehow got the first two million dollars from Alpha Killan after lying to him that her mother was diagnosed with cancer and paying them, but this time, which excuse will she use to get the money from him?
What she was aware of was that it was impossible! She had made up her mind, though, and that was to go back to the palace as soon as possible. She will then pay a visit to Alpha Cameroon to ask for his help because the first time she went to him, she learned from his daughter Larissa that he was out of the country and wouldn't be returning any time soon. A month had passed, so she was sure that he was back in the country.
"We are here." Alpha Killan's voice jarred her from her thoughts. She faked a painful moan and went limp when Killan carried her. He took her to their room and massaged her legs as she made a call to her 'doctor' on the phone. After a while, she sighed after reading a notification on her phone, and Killan asked her, What happened? Is she coming?"
"Nay. She is out of the country but has sent a message saying if I go to her office, her assistant will help me because she has told her everything about me." She lied.
Alpha Killan knited his brows in anger and growled,"how dare she ask you to go to her office? Doesn't she know that you're Luna and that she's the one who's supposed to come for you, not the other way around? Ask her to tell her assistant to be here in a minute, or else I'll ruin them." He demanded.
"No. Calm down, babe. Her assistant is crippled; hence, she can't come here. Besides, she had suggested that moving around is good for my health, and her clinic is not far away. It's just a half-hour drive." She smiled sweetly at him. Her smile had always worked on him. He would calm down and agree to what she said.
'Fine. I'll take you there," he said, walking from the bed while smoothing his suit.
"No, just stay here and take care of the packs matters. It won't be good for both the Luna and the Alpha to be out. Our driver will take me there. He is a good person." She told him. After thinking for a while, Alpha Killan agreed, and Alina jumped behind the closed doors. "Finally, this tick is off my back. It's time to pay Cameroon a visit." She smiled to herself as she walked into the closet to look for something to wear.
Few moments later, Alina was at the pack, waiting for her driver. The driver was also one of her people, and he already knew where she was going because she had told him everything through a text message before she came out. They both got in the car, and a satisfied smile finally appeared on her face. After recalling something, she dialed a number, which was accepted after four rings: Please don't do anything; I will be sending your money in a few hours." She said.
"We can see that. Don't forget you are under our sight, and if you dare do anything stupid, we will not only tell him about the fake porn videos but also your involvement in his mother's fall from upstairs, you poisoning his favorite dog, burning his favorite suit, replacing all his workers at his pack with your people, you sneaking the traitors at the pack, sending the secrets to Alpha Cameroon and his enemies, you making the pack suffer losses, you...
"Enough!" She yelled at them, feeling blood boiling all over her body. "Enough of your blackmail; I'll send you guys the ten million dollars you need, and you'll burn all that evidence, deal?" She asked them while taking in some deep breaths. How they got all that evidence against her was something she wasn't aware of. She once thought that they were just lying to her, but after sending every piece of evidence they had against her, she believed them, and all she knew was that if she didn't give them what they wanted, all those things would get into Alpha Killan's hands, and she would be doomed.
"Don't forget that the baby you are carrying is not his and that you are the one involved with Camila's bareness." They laughed at the other end, ignoring her question about making a deal.
"What do you want?" She asked them after realizing that it was of no use talking to them.
"A million dollars every month. But that doesn't mean that you won't be sending us the ten million dollars we have demanded." With that, the phone was hanged up, and when she tried to call them again, it went directly to voice mail.
"Please hurry up, Kaden, before these fools ruin my plan," she asked while tapping her phone on her palms. The moment the car stopped at Alpha Cameroon's mansion, she practically jumped out and walked directly to his office. It seems like the stars were watching over her, and we're on her side because he found him swiveling on his office chair.
"Thank goodness you are here. I need your help." She said this, slumping on the chair in front of her and gulping down a glass of water she had taken from the table.
"Excuse me, but do I know you?" Alpha Cameroon asked her. He had never seen her anywhere, and she did not look like one of the bitches he had been screwing behind his wife's back.
"You are joking, right?" She laughed, but when he looked at her with a serious expression, she placed the glass back on the table. "Are you serious? I am Alina, Alpha Killan's wife." She said, and then continued, "I've been talking to you for almost a year now." She took out her phone from her purse and showed him his number on her favorite list.
"You might be looking for another Cameroom, miss, because that's not my number, and also, I think you must be a fraud because Alpha Killan is married to my daughter Camila, so miss, if you have nothing else to say, get out of here before I call guards on you for something I am sure you wouldn't like," he warned her, standing from his chair.
"No, sir, it's you I have been talking to. I sent you Alpha Killan's secret, and you helped me get an expert who planted Camila's prints on the laptop; you also helped me frame Camila as the one who pushed her mother-in-law off the building and many of the schemes I have done until now." She insisted on making him listen to their conversations on the phone, which she had been recording in case he did that.
"Listen, miss; those who know me better will tell you that's not my voice, so please get out of here before I lose my mind." He warned once again, but Alina was not ready to give up.
"No, I won't get out of here before you hear me out. I helped you defeat your enemy; he's now suffering losses, and instead of helping me at this time when I need it, you are treating me like trash. I'll tell him everything. I'll go to Alpha Killan right away and tell him that you blackmailed me into doing all these things." She yelled at the top of her lungs.
"Guards!" Alpha Cameroon called them, but before they walked in, Alina fell on her knees. "Please, please, help me out. You don't believe me, right? I'll call this number right now." She wiped her tears and dialed the number on her favorite list. The number rang, but it was nowhere in the office. She looked around, and before she would lash out and tell him that he had kept his phone on silent mode, it was picked up on the other end.
"Alpha Cameron speaking. What do you have for me, Alina?" The deep, cold voice asked, and Alina's eyes widened in shock, not believing her eyes. "You weren't lying?" She asked the Alpha Cameroon standing in front of her with an I told you look on his face, stumbling backward. "Wh...who are you?" She asked with a trembling voice.
"Alpha Cameroon." The person on the other end responded. Alpha Cameroon, who was shocked by what was going on, snatched the phone from her hands and asked, "Who is this using my name to get what they want?" Silence filled the other end, and after a minute, the person hung up.
Turning to Alina, Alpha Camerron yelled, "Get out of here before I call Alpha Killan and tell him what is going on. Don't forget the fact that I have CCTV cameras in the office and voice recorders, so before I ruin your plan, get out of here. Guards, throw her out!" He demanded. Alina, who had no energy left in her, remained still as she was dragged out of the office and thrown out of the mansion like a sack of potatoes.
Her driver, who had witnessed what was going on, hurriedly went to her and carried her back to the car. A lot of notifications chimed in, and she dared not look at them. It seemed like it was her day, so she grabbed the phone, ready to tell the guards to expose her if they wanted to, but they should know that they'd be going down with her.
Her eyes widened in shock when she saw a new number messaging her with a solution to her problem. But the person had one condition for her: she should never give the real Alpha Cameroon the number she was called with because it would be doom for her as well.
"What's the solution?" She texted that person, another wave of hope surging through her heart.
"It's simple." The person responded, and after waiting for the three dots bubbling at the end of her sentence to disappear, another message came: "For the plan to secede, Camila must be back home because I hear she is hospitalized. You'll have to frame her for what I'm about to tell you. But don't worry, no one would suspect you because, I promise you, she's the first person to be questioned in case this plan succeeds."
"Tell me the plan already; stop beating around the bush." Alina was losing hope, so she decided to call that person, whose voice this time wasn't deep but feminine.
"Listen, Alina, no more hiding; just call me back after Camila is back in the palace." The person spoke in a low voice, as if afraid of being heard.
"But...who are you? Why were you helping me?" Alina asked her.
"Just do as I have said, bitch." With that said, the phone beeped on the other end.
Although Alina wasn't aware of the plan yet, she smiled once again and asked her driver to speed back to the palace. She already had a plan for how she would get Alpha Killan to bring Camila home. She had to do that quickly because the clock was ticking and she had only one week before her secret was released. At the thought of secrets, she deleted the message she was sending to the guards, asking them to expose her if they wanted to.
"I am lucky yet again," she laughed happily, wiping the dirt off her dress she caught after she was mercilessly thrown by Alpha Cameroon's guards.
'Just wait; I'll definitely come for you, Cameron, but first I have to settle this," she smirked, massaging her temples.
