CHAPTER 35: HATRED

CHELSEA

I woke up from my peaceful sleep feeling someone pulling my hair. He gently moved the hair away from my face. When I opened my eyes, I saw Red's naked body in front of me. My eyes widened in surprise and I immediately sat up in shock. That's when I realized that I was also naked. I just wanted to disappear into the ground at this moment.

"Good morning." he chuckled at me. I didn't know if he was teasing me because he stood up without even trying to cover his lower half. I quickly looked away and stared out the window instead.

"P-put some clothes on!" I shouted at him. I heard him softly laughing.

What's so funny? Aren't he embarrassed by what he's doing? If he were standing there comfortably, it would be as if the two of us were completely comfortable seeing each other's bodies.

"What's wrong? You saw this last night." he said, which only made my face redder. I could feel the heat in my cheeks. "E-even so! Go get dressed in the bathroom!" My nose was almost smoking from the embarrassment I was feeling now.

"Okay, chill! Geez! Here I go..." he chuckled and after a moment I heard the bathroom door open and close. I cautiously peeked to see if he had really gone in, just in case he were only playing a trick on me. Fortunately, he really did go in. I heard him turn on the shower. As soon as I had the chance, I searched for my clothes. They were scattered on the floor so I quickly picked them up and put them on. When I was finished, I didn't wait for Red to finish showering and quickly left his room.

I almost lost my soul when I ran into Manang Fe. She looked at me and then at Red's room. She gave me a mischievous smile and said, "It looks like you had a nice morning, ma'am?" she chuckled. I felt my cheeks getting red again so I quickly touched them and said, "W-what are you talking about? I-I just got something from his room, Manang. I'll go first." I stammered and quickly headed to my room. As soon as I got in, I quickly closed and locked the door. I collapsed on the floor, leaning against the door.

I don't know how I'm going to face everyone at the mansion today. It's like they all be gossiping about me later. But I don't know how I'm going to face Redemon even more. Argh! I just want to be swallowed by the ground, Lord. Please take me away, I don't know how I'm going to solve this embarrassment.

I still can't believe that I did that thing with Redemon. Does this mean he have feelings for me? But he said "I love you" last night... Is that true? Do he really love me or did he just say that because of what happened between us? I also remember him saying something about not leaving him again... I don't know if that's true or if it's just something I imagined last night because I was so tired.

I just sighed at all the things I was thinking about. Whatever the setup between us will be, I'm happy with what I'm choosing. I stood up and looked for something to wear today. I don't want to wear a dress because something unexpected happened the last time I wore one last night. Maybe I'll just wear shorts and an oversized t-shirt. I took these and also grabbed some underwear before heading into the bathroom.

When I opened the shower, the cool water hit my skin. I felt a lightness in my whole body. I stayed in that position for a few minutes, and when I was satisfied, I started to clean myself.

After showering, I fixed myself up. I didn't put any makeup on my face and just grabbed some lip gloss to give my face some life. I'm just at home, and it's just him who will see me, so I don't have to put in an effort to look good. Before I left, I sprayed some perfume and left the room. I headed straight to the dining room and saw that Redemon was already having coffee there while the maids were preparing the morning meals.

"You're already here; it's breakfast time." He offered with a smile and stood up to help me sit down. We started eating, and I almost finished all the food prepared by Manang Fe. I don't know why I'm so hungry; maybe it's because of the war I experienced last night...

"I will be on a business trip for three days, but I'll come back right after that. Do you have anything in mind that you'll do while I'm not around?" Redemon suddenly spoke after we finished eating. We're walking now towards the garden.

"Me? Hmm... not really. I'll just stay here at the mansion for now since I still have some designs to finish. I'll also invite Angel here so I won't be bored. I could also continue my job at Starbucks... I actually work there, but I haven't told you yet... So yeah, that could be what I do while you're gone." When we reached the garden, I immediately sat on a chair.

"Don't work. You might get tired. Tell me what you want, and I'll buy it for you." He said that and sat on another chair in front of me.

"I wanted to return the money you paid me... Let me return it as soon as possible if you just give me time..." I said awkwardly and saw him look at me seriously.

"You don't have to. A contract is a contract. You did your part so you don't have to return everything I gave you," he added. I just nodded at what he said.

"Uhm... I talked to Mr. Silva the other day when he took me home. He talked to me about his concert that will be held here in the Philippines, and he said he wants me to design his outfits. I agree; it's also a big help for me to improve my skills. But, is that okay with you?"

He was quiet for a few minutes and just looked at me as if he were seriously thinking about how to answer my question. "Why not? If you think that helping him will help you as well, then do it. I'll be happy to see you focus on pursuing your career. I'm here to support you in everything you want." I was surprised at his answer. I didn't expect him to be like this. I expected him to get angry and be jealous of Kent again, but I was wrong. Is he starting to trust me?

It's strange, but it feels good to know that he's becoming more understanding. I hope his behavior continues. "Thank you..." I said weakly and gave him a sweet smile. He also smiled back while still looking at me. Why is that? It feels good to be like this and not argue. I've become too immune to our arguments, so it feels special when something like this happens.

A while later, we heard Blaze barking. He was being walked outside by the household staff and was just returning. Blaze was struggling to run towards Red. When he got close, Red immediately embraced him with a hug and patted his head. "Hey, Blaze. Did you have fun?" he asked while still hugging him. Blaze just wagged his tail as if he were saying yes. I couldn't help but smile at the scene. It's rare to see Redemon this gentle.

Meanwhile, while Chelsea and Red's relationship is happy and going well, Maxine's plan is to ruin Chelsea's life. Until now, she still can't forget the night she called Chelsea to ask for help, but Chelsea just thought it was a joke and part of her plan.

MAXINE

She doesn't care about me anymore. I'm her sister. Don't she think about the things we shared before? I know I did something wrong to her, but is that enough reason to forget me and neglect me?

I'm here now in a hotel, collapsed on the floor after being beaten by unknown men. They forcibly brought me here and took turns on me. I couldn't do anything but cry and beg them to stop, but it's like they didn't hear me. I heard him talk about how to get the payment from their boss. That's when it occurred to me that someone had ordered them to do this to me. I immediately thought that Chelsea, that beast, might have ordered them to do this to me, but I was shocked when I heard a man calling one of the men, and when he answered, I heard the voice of a man on the other line.

A voice that shook my world. I didn't expect him to do this to me. Mark's voice is what I heard on the other line. I just cried and couldn't believe what was happening. Is he really this angry with me, and could he order other people to beat me? He's my boyfriend, but why would he do this if he's going to reject me?

They started to leave, and as soon as they left, I immediately took my phone to look for someone to help me. I was about to call my mom, but what will she say if she finds out what Mark did to me? I don't want her to think that I made a mistake with my plans. I switched my attention to Chelsea's number. Until now, I still haven't deleted it. I had researched Buenavista's telephone number before, and I accidentally pressed it, and I couldn't do anything when it started to ring.

I heard Chelsea answer on the other line. I started to cry when I heard her speak. I wanted to apologize for what I did to her, but I didn't know how.

Will she accept it? Will she forgive me after everything I did?

Everything stopped in my mind when she hung up on me after rejecting my request for help. She thinks that I'm just pretending and that everything is just a plan. She doesn't care about me anymore. She no longer considers me a sibling.
