Chapter 9: Unexpected Intrusion
"I thought you'd sleep in the bathroom tonight." Darryl joked.
Regina was embarrassed and did not dare to look him in the eye, shyly approached the bed and sat down.
"Come closer." Darryl ordered.
Regina did as he was told, she moved closer to him. Her movements were slow and sluggish, and Darryl lost his patience and rose to his feet, picking her up.
Darryl nuzzled his head against her neck, inhaling the scent of the shower gel she'd just used. Darryl's lips were a little cold, and he kissed her neck lightly and felt her warm skin. His hand caressed her waist for a moment, then reached inside her bathrobe.
As soon as his hand reached into the bag to grab her boobs, Regina's whole body trembled slightly and got goosebumps. She felt like an electric current was running through her body.
"Wait, wait. Can you give me a sip of wine?" Regina frantically grabbed Darryl's wrist, looking at him with pleading eyes.
"Not brave enough? Just making love."
"But I'm scared. Last time I don't remember how we did it. Will it hurt?" Regina asked worriedly.
Seeing Regina's nervous expression, Darryl suddenly laughed, his laugh low and sexy.
"You really don't remember what we did the first time? Want me to tell you?"
"We... what did we do?" Regina tried to suppress her shyness and asked, because she was really curious and wanted to know.
Darryl suddenly grabbed Regina's chin, causing her to let out a small cry of pain, then he kissed her deeply.
His tongue entwined Regina's small tongue, their saliva mingling, the sound of erotic kisses reverberating in the quiet room. Regina was confused by his stimulating kiss, she couldn't help but reach out her tongue towards him, receiving the sweetness from his lips. She half-closed her eyelids, her breathing gradually becoming ragged due to lack of oxygen.
This reminded her of the first time she kissed Darryl at the party of the rich ladies and young masters in the city.
Darryl really knows how to kiss women, so she wondered if the rumor that Darryl had never been with a woman was true. His kissing technique easily made her whole body soften, her body aflame and want to be drawn to him.
While the two were hugging and kissing passionately, Darryl's body suddenly stiffened. There is a very small sound that just resounded, if not sensitive and observant certainly could not be heard. Darryl reluctantly broke off the kiss with the beauty, placing an index finger over his mouth to signal her to keep quiet.
Regina was still confused as to what was happening. Apparently, just a few seconds ago, they were still engrossed in sex, but now Darryl's expression turned serious and cold.
"You stay here. Don't leave the bedroom. Wait for me."
"What is going on?" Regina whispered softly.
"I'll explain later. You can just stay here and wait for me to come back."
Darryl quickly got off the bed, opened the wardrobe and pulled out a silenced gun. Seeing the black gun, Regina's whole body stiffened with fear. Her face was pale, and sweat was on her forehead. She knew why Darryl had suddenly become so scary. Looks like someone broke into your mansion.
Although Regina didn't know why the intruders were able to break through the mansion's advanced protection, she understood that the place was very dangerous.
Regina did not dare to risk disobeying Darryl's words. She crawled into the blanket and breathed softly.
Darryl left for about 10 minutes, in the villa there were constantly different sounds, there was a crash, something was falling to the ground, there was even the sound of silencer bullets tearing the wind. Every time there was a strange sound, Regina's whole body trembled. She finally understood why Anne, though enamored with Darryl Rider's fame and fortune, ultimately decided to let her become his woman. Because being with him, every time is facing death.
At this moment, her bedroom door suddenly made a small noise. Regina remembered that before Darryl left the room, he locked the door. If it was Darryl, he would definitely use the key to open the door, not try to turn the door handle. After several unsuccessful attempts, the man at the door opened fire with a gun. The bullet penetrated the door and pinned the wall, creating a sharp, terrifying sound.
Regina's whole body involuntarily constricted, she was so scared that her face turned pale, tears welled up in her eyes. She was worried that someone standing outside the door would break in and kill her, so despite her extreme panic, she staggered out of bed and hid in the bathroom.
There were some sounds outside, but Regina was too scared to judge what was happening outside. About 10 minutes later, everything was still very quiet, Regina's heart pounding in her chest slowly calmed down.
There were many thoughts on her mind right now, but the biggest question she wanted to know was whether Darryl Rider was still alive. She still remembered that Darryl only held a small gun like a pistol, it didn't feel too powerful. If he was dead, then there was no one left to protect her. Regina thought it over and over and made a bold decision.
It was too unfair that she stayed here and waited for Darryl's enemies to come and kill her. She wanted to live, she needed to get out of here before they found her. Regina had faith she could do it.
So, she mustered up her courage and left the bedroom.
As soon as she stepped out of the room door, she stepped on a body. A man in black was lying on the ground, blood from his temples running down the hallway, giving off a ghastly smell of blood. He was still wearing a bulletproof vest, but because the bullet hit his head, he died instantly, without a breath.
Regina's heart felt as if someone had just squeezed it. She held her breath and opened her mouth to scream in response to a natural human reaction when she was so scared, but then her sanity kept her from doing it. Regina covered her mouth with her hand, breathing heavily as if she was out of breath, her weak legs almost collapsing.
But soon, she gradually calmed down.
In her head, she constantly reminded herself: Must live... must survive. She moved lightly to avoid the corpses, slowly going downstairs. Through each flight of stairs, Regina saw several corpses lying on the ground. They were all wearing identical black bulletproof vests, which proved that they were from the same group that broke into this mansion.
