Janice glared at the phone, continuously ringing on the nightstand, then at Margie, sitting beside her with Prince Michael in her arms.

"Give him a chance, I don't think he wanted to hurt you."

"Well, when Jeremy does the same, I'd like to say the same to you."

Margie rolled her eyes, "Jeremy wouldn't dare. Besides, I trust Jules and I know what he can do. He'd never do such. I smell blackmail."

Janice shrugged, "I don't think so. We both know how Jules is before he married me. What shows he wouldn't do the same?"

"You should see how he stares at you, Janice." Margie enthused. "He freaking adores you and you think he would do something as awful as this without having a second thought?"

"Anyway, you should pick up that phone else you wish to make us go deaf."

Janice glanced at the phone again as it went on vibrating. She grasped it and pushed the answer button.

It was an unknown number and she barely answered numbers she didn't know. Grace was who often did that as she was always around whenever a call from random numbers came in.

However, now that she wasn't, Janice did what she always does- answering the phone without being the first person to talk.

"He's mine, bitch." A feminine voice yelled at the other end and Janice plucked the phone from her ear and stared at the number for a long time before gluing it back to her ears.

"Who are you and what do you want?"

A scowl formed on Janice's face.

"You don't need to know slut." She cackled. "Just so you know, I had a great time with your husband and I'd like to say he's very great in bed."

Before Janice could respond to her, she ended the call.

"Whore." Janice tossed the phone angrily on the bed.

"Who was that?"

"A slut that is involved with my saint of a husband." She snapped and Jules chose the moment to step into the room.

He creased his brows as Janice's glare intensified.

"What does she want?" Margie asked.

She stared at Jules as he moved towards where Janice sat and shook her head.

The last time they had been next to each other whilst she was there, it hadn't gone down well.

She doubted it would go down well now seeing as whoever had phoned her had made her furious with the statement she uttered.

The last time she had seen Janice this mad was when she met with her father after a long time of absence.

Now, she was seeing the same anger and wondered if forgiving Jules was on her mind because she had refused to forgive her father.

Jules halted, understanding the signal from Margie. The last thing he needed was a 'Janice spitfire'.

Although when she thumped his chest, he didn't feel it since her blows weren't weighty, he felt her fury and the sadness that radiated from her all at once.

"Ask him! He's the one going about sleeping with anyone he sees!"

She slid down from the bed and brushed past him.

Jules stared at Margie who shrugged.

"I did nothing. I have been trying to apologize all day but it seems like I am the last person she wishes to see."

"I know, give her time," Margie said. "Don't pressure her, I am sure she will come around soon."

Jules nodded and hoped she would come around sooner than he expected because the thought of being away from her another day was beginning to drive him nuts.

Even his son had not had the privilege to have a father to son time with him.

He stepped towards the cot and stared at the sleeping infant.

Prince Michael stuck a thumb in his mouth and sucked on it. He squirmed as Jules patted him slightly.

Despite the situation he was in, he smiled whilst watching his son and temporarily he forgot the situation with Janice and welcomed the peace the presence of his son brought.

Janice sprang out of bed, disorientated as she heard Michael's wail. She rubbed her swollen eyes and noticed her cheeks were wet as her hand caressed each.

She recalled she had cried herself to sleep. Since the past hour, she had been doing so and wondered when she would stop.

She assumed she shouldn't be teary any longer but the thought of Jules always made her eyes well up.

She trudged to the room Michael was in slowly and halted by the doorway whilst she noticed a figure hovering over the cot.

The hair at the back of Jules' neck tingled and he swirled. His eyes locked on Janice as he gazed at her from head to toe.

Jules licked his lips and let out a low groan at the nightie she donned.

It was a black lacy nightie, reaching her midsection. Her creamy thighs were on display and her breasts in it made the dress look a bit inappropriate as they were almost spilling out of it.

But, he wasn't bothered since she was his wife.

Janice gazed at the floor momentarily and her eyes slowly peeked at Jules.

She blushed as she noticed his eyes were still on her.

She snatched a robe nearby and donned it swiftly, then let out a sigh as he shifted his gaze.

"Go back to bed. I already took care of him."

Janice rolled her eyes, stepping towards the cot, she extended her hands for Prince Michael and waited a few minutes until Jules handed him over to her.

"He's my son. I can take care of him."

"He's my son as well." Jules pointed out.

Janice rocked him for a few more seconds as she noticed he was dozing off.

"When will you give me a chance to say my part of the story?"

She let out a sigh and shook her head. "I don't have time for this, Jules."

"When would you? I am ready to say anything to you. I want you back in the room and I miss you." Jules said with desperation in his voice.

"Maybe…" Janice tilted her head as she trailed off. "Maybe never."

"We have nothing to discuss because we are done."

"We are not." Jules gritted. "I don't know how long you'd need to come around, but when you do, come find me. And in the meantime, you are still my wife."

He tugged her to him and kissed her roughly. Janice broke the kiss and shoved him.

"What the heck?!"

"That is to show I have every right over you. I own you and your damned body."

"You don't!" Janice yelled.

She didn't care if her voice was loud enough to wake her son, Jules was beginning to act like a prick and the jerk he once was before.

"I f**king do, Janice Marie Forrest and don't dare defy me!"

Janice shivered as he mentioned her name. She glimpsed the coldness in his slate grey eyes and wondered how the conversation had changed from him being sorry to him being possessive.

His grasp on her hand tightened and Janice winced. It wasn't until she sniffled that he left her and stalked out of the room.

Janice sat on the rocking chair in the room and her eyes watered.

She recalled everything her father had done to her mother and how she had left him.

She wondered if she was going to end up being that way.

She didn't want to follow in her mother's footsteps and at the same time, she didn't want to forgive Jules just yet for what he had done.

Even if she had wanted to do so earlier, after seeing the way he acted tonight, she realized he was not the least sorry for what had happened.

Rather, he assumed she was some commodities he had bought from somewhere.

The nerves of him!

"I hate him." She said to herself and wiped the tears on her cheeks. "I freaking hate him."

Regardless of the hate that was slowly building up inside of her, she loved him and her traitorous body responded to him as well.

If they weren't in fallout, she would have jumped into his hand with just the mere stare of his eyes and begged him to make love to her.

But, she chooses not to cheapen or make herself weak.
