Shawn
"Dad where is mo- aunt Sr. Claire?" asked Hans. I know my son is struggling between his biological mother and Jenna. I've seen him with her and sometimes I may have caught him in his room, wishing for Jenna to be his mother. I don't want him to have false hope because my relationship with Jenna is still questionable.
"Dad, where's aunt Claire," his question snap me back from my trance.
When my son arrived home he wanted to meet Jenna but I told him that she was a bit busy. Now I can't lie to him anymore. This has been going on for days and I didn't want to disappoint him by telling truth. After all he is just a child. My child.
"She's in her room. why?" I ask him.
"I miss her," he sadly said to me. I look at him sadly remembering that I have to win Jenna's heart again. I smile at him and bend down to his level.
"Okay, why don't we surprise her for a day out" I suggest and Hans jumps to his feet in excitement.
"Dad, let's get ready" he drags me to the shower.
After we get ready we went downstairs to the kitchen and prepare food for our small picnic at the park. "Annnnd done. Now go get Sora and Damon while I get aunt Claire" I said to my son but he just folded his arms glaring at me.
"What?" I ask and he narrows his eyes at me. "Come on buddy" I usher him to get his siblings but he stops me.
"Daddy, you're not going to do anything bad to aunt Claire. Aren't you" he said. I look at him in confusion. "Mommy and Daddy Colby were doing nasty things when grandma and I found them. You know what nana did?" My son imitates his nana's actions by putting both of his hands on his hips and looking at me sternly.
He said, "you two are grown-ups. Not some young wonny ass kids... Don't kiss anywhere you like. It's bad and bad for the kids' eyes." I laugh at my son and lean down to hug him but he pulls away and shook his head no to me.
"So you too better heed nana's words. Kissing is bad daddy. So, don't kiss aunt or I'll tell nana and she will whip you" he said, making me burst into laughter. I ruffle his hair, trying not to laugh too much and said, "I promise I won't."
"Okay, but daddy I think you need to make sure everything is ready," he told me and I nod my head. When he left I doubled check everything before going up to Jenna's room. I knock on her door and she opened it.
She is already dressed in a floral summer dress with a grin on her face. She looks stunning and it reminds me of the first time I saw her in this pack. It was two days after her arrival but that was when she was Jenna, my lucky charm or that's what I used to call her when we're together as a couple.
"You're going somewhere?" I nervously ask her, hoping that she said no.
"Nope, but these little ones here said we have somewhere to go," she said pulling Hans and a happy Sora from behind the door. I let out a relieved sigh and glance at my son. The little devil grins at me.
"You're too late daddy," he said and run out of the door with Sora leaving the two of us. That kid, I thought, shaking my head for a brief second.
"Shall we?" I ask and make way for her and she nodded her head in excitement. I'm so happy that she isn't blowing me off.
Some time afterward I watch Sora and Jenna chasing Hans around in a circle on the park field. Damon on the other hand is sitting on a bench with a female who throws herself at him. He didn't act rude or tell her off. He just didn't pay much attention to her.
He may act like a player but I remember he once told me that he will wait for his mate. He didn't want to go through what I went through with his parents. I am proud that he is learning from our mistakes.
When Damon saw me watching him, he cheekily smirks and winks in Jenna's direction. I scoffed and glared at him. He chuckles at me and turn to pay attention at the female next to him.
"Kids" I mutter and walk up to where Jenna and the kids are playing.
"Enjoying yourself?" I call out to them.
Sora and Hans stopped running around and turn towards me. They scream and run at me. I bend down and welcome them both in my arms.
"You little rascals," I say pinching their cheeks.
"Whooow!" Jenna rests beside us on the grass.
"Are you okay?" I ask. She rolls her eyes and shakes her head. "Yep, these two are adorable" she ruffles their hair. Both kids grin before running away from us. I sat beside Jenna and watch the two play with other kids.
I wish they were mine and Jenna but I guess it's too late for those wishful thinking. I shake away those thoughts and glance at Jenna who cheer the two kids with a smile on her face. I stare at her.
"Shawn," she said and turn aside to face me. I quickly avert my gaze elsewhere. "Jenna" I whisper her name. She turns aside to face me and I curse to my wolf.
"Hmmm"
"I am sorry"
Not knowing what to say I pluck a glover from the grass as it remindse that she was my lucky charm. I gave it to her.
It's rare to find any glover around here but I heard it could also mean lucky charm. This glover may be a sign that I still have my lucky charm. It's the moon goddess's way to show me that there's still hope for us.
"For you", I extended it out to her. "I know things started bad between us but I hope with this glover it's our new beginning," I said.
Jenna looked at me and then to the glover. She then reaches out and take it. I smile after she accepted the glover.
"Thank you, Shawn... I'll keep this" she answers with a smile while olding my lucky charm in her hands. At that very moment I wish again and hope she could give me a chance and chooses me in the end.
