Manny P.O.V

So they practice shifting different parts of their bodies to look more like mine so as to not scare the shit out of her family. For instance, Ivan practices making his eyes blue or brown and not red. Also making his fangs and claws shorter plus his skin a few shades darker because he’s pale as fuck lol. ‘Screw you, Manuel!’ He tells me I just laugh, ‘What dude you need to get some sun a.s.a.p!’ Dagonae practices making his skin lighter to match mine and changing his hair to black instead of red. He's much taller at 12ft and bulkier than me, so we help him out with that. And his speech is bad plus he's very loud. He literally yells everything. Even when he isn't angry, I've learned that's just how he speaks. I'll have to explain this to Keya so that she's aware. We help Yah'El to stop the smoke from billowing out of him constantly. Now it just seeps out if he's mad, so she just has to keep him calm.

Onyx didn’t need much change just his hair a bit darker, we tried to do something about his tattoos and eyes. We got his tattoos to mimic mine but his eyes wouldn’t shift for anything. Kane and Jaspier shift and look very similar to me. We just worked on their eyes and sharp teeth. Kanes’ voice is rougher than mine. And Jaspiers’ voice is octaves deeper than mine and I'm already baritone he says, 'There isn't much that can be done about my voice.' 'I know Jaz but when you were talking to her earlier she literally came just from your voice dude.' He laughs, 'I don't see anything wrong with that. I have a powerful voice. And her coming on my tongue was a nice snack that I'm looking forward to eating again.' I laugh, 'Don't I know it. The ground shakes every time you speak. And I agree I can eat her all day and never get tired of the menu.'

We stand in front of the full mirror and practice the shifting till we get it right. It was about two hours. Apart from having to wear my shades to cover Onyx’s eyes, we should be good. I actually have fun with the guys and get to know them a bit more. Once they are all just about my doppelgänger, I decided to get some sleep and cuddle up with my Girl.

I have another nightmare this time. I was at the bar of this small village. With, I presume, were Viktor’s two comrades: one male named Lasane, and a female named Rita. I saw everything through Viktors' eyes again, and he was pissed that some local hunters had killed a female wolf and her pups. They claimed that she was the infamous Beast that was wanted for the 'Blood Moon Massacres.' Viktor told Lasane and Rita to lure the hunters to his cave in the mountains and he was going to 'handle the rest!' They did it and Viktor absolutely decimated the hunters into oblivion! And I got a front-row seat at their massacre. I woke up panting and drenched in so much sweat that Keya had slid off of my chest! The bed under me is soaked, too.

Damn, I can't believe my father was such a savage like that. Kane comments, 'And we have that same potential in us, Manuel.' Shit, 'Kane, real talk. I don't even want to think about killing someone as brutally as he did. I mean he ripped them apart, their body parts were everywhere!' 'I understand but know this, that I will destroy anyone just as he did that Thinks of hurting our Mate!' He snarls and I agree, 'Well when you put it like that… then yeah I will too!'

'I still want to 'talk' to those guys from the football team. This is why I didn't agree with her letting 'bygones be bygones' speech. I will never lie to my Mate. Never! I'd rather hurt her feelings with the truth. Instead of making her happy with a lie.' That's good to know we're on the same page, 'Me too, Kane, I don’t like sugar-coating shit when it comes to her. She will always get me raw & uncensored.' He chuckles, ‘I know that’s right! So much of us lives inside of you, Manuel. Our personalities, pet peeves, likes, hates, dreams, desires, wants and needs all make up your persona. You’ll see and understand it one day.’

I pick her up and run us a bath. It's almost 8 a.m. And while we are getting dressed, I tell her about the guys spending some individual quality time with her for the rest of the trip. "What do you mean, quality time with me?" She seems confused and shocked, but we've already made up our minds. "Like how you and Ivan spent time together yesterday, you're gonna spend time with the rest of them, too. I’ve made you a list of their names and a schedule too, here.” I hand her the papers and admire her in her dark blue denim miniskirt and white tube top. I put her on some gold jewelry while she was looking over the papers. I tell her to leave her hair down today. She agrees, saying, “As long as it’s not in my face, I’m good.” Cool!

I’m just wearing some swimming shorts today because Onyx is first up. He’s the only one of us that hasn’t spent time with her and he loves water. So I’m sure he will go to all the water spots first. She loves water also, so I feel like they’ll have an awesome time. She looks at my bare chest, worried. “Are you not wearing a shirt?” “Nope.” Shocked, she asks, “Really? People are gonna gawk at you. And by people, I mean my Grammy. You think she was bad yesterday? It’s gonna be worst today!” She laughs, shaking her head. I put a top for myself and a swimsuit for her in our bag, too. I throw a long dry towel over my shoulder just in case I sweat. This heat doesn’t bother me as much as I am from the Islands. I usually only sweat when I’m working out or tangling in the sheets with My Girl. Or more recently, having these damn nightmares.
