Manny P.O.V

We go to get her siblings ready and I can see the amused curiosity in Grammys’ eyes. “Good morning Grammy.” We tell her and I feel half embarrassed and half proud when she chuckles, “Keya, I see you’re walking like a cowgirl this morning. Have you been riding the ‘Stallion’ all night?” She’s been riding this tongue! Keya swallows hard, not saying anything, but I can feel her embarrassment pouring from her. Then Grammy turns to me, smirking, “And good morning to you too... Stallion. You look..” She looks me up and down like she was checking me out, “well rested.” And she winks at me!

I chuckle nervously, “Yeah, I’m good Grammy h..” I clear my throat, blushing like crazy. Fuck! “How did you sleep?” Her eyebrows rose skeptically and she teases, “Obviously not as good as y’all did with all that damn screaming going on over there. I thought y’all had a damn orgy going on or you were running a train on her! All the names I heard. You must have a lot of middle or last names?” I hear Keya gasp as she mindlinks me,

‘OMG, she heard us! God, this is embarrassing. I told y’all to chill, but you didn’t listen to me!’ Shit, we didn’t listen to her, ‘My bad Babe.’ I hear her sister ask, “Keya, what’s a Stallion?” Keya just sighs exaggeratedly, shaking her head. “It’s a large male horse, Fatt.” Annoyed, she tells me, “Just help me get them ready.” So I begin to help Fatt & Trell pack their bags for today while she gives Qwan his asthma treatment and cleans his nose, which seems to be full or running all the time. Then washes her hands to give Grammy an insulin shot in her stomach. And she reminds her to take her meds and check her sugar levels. “Yeah, yeah, I know.” Grammy grumbles dismissively.

Grammy flirts with me again. “I normally ain’t a cougar, but for you, Manny. I may have to change my mind because Boi, you are handsome!” This damn lady got me blushing again! I nervously say, “Uh t.. thanks. You are a very lovely lady as well.” Grammy giggles and Keya just laughs. ‘I told you she was a huge flirt.’ Then takes her three youngest brothers to the bathroom for a quick shower. I can feel Grammys’ scrutinizing eyes on my back as I finish packing everyone's bags, making sure they have extra towels, bottled water, and some money.

“You really care about her, don’t you, Manny?” Grammy asks me quietly. I turn to her, “Hell yeah, she’s our..” Grammy looks at me curiously, “uh My Soulmate. I’ll do any and everything for her. I’ll fight and kill for her, heal her, die for her, and live for her. She’s my Everything! And I was serious when I said if you need Anything just let me know. If I can give it to you, then it’s yours.” She lets out a long, stressful whistle.

“We can use a whole lot! The government only supplies so much every month and we’re always scrapping by. But Keya takes great care of us and makes sure we have everything we need. I’m old and exhausted, plus I just finished raising all 8 of my kids. Hell, I thought I was done with kids. And then 6 more dropped in my damn lap. Don’t get me wrong. I love my grandbabies. I just thought that I can retire and move to Texas, find myself a fine ass country boy and settle down. You know, do Me for once in my life! Hell, I’ve been a Mom since I was 13 and I’m tired of raising kids frankly. You get me, Boi?”

I do, “I completely understand you Grammy. Would it help if I can get a housekeeper and a cook to come and help y’all out?” She looks surprised, “Hell yeah, that’ll help out big time!” Awesome! “I know Keya does a lot for y’all, but I really want her with me. Shit, I need her with me. When she’s around, I don’t feel so angry and lost.” She smiles. “I know what you mean, and Keya is a special person. You know she can heal, right?” I chuckle, thinking about when she licked my wounds. “Oh yeah, she healed up some scratches she gave me.” She smirks, chuckling, “You better watch out, for those nails of hers are sharp as hell and they’re long.” I laugh, “Don’t I know it hahaha. You’re really cool peeps, Grammy.” She grins, “And you are a great man, Manny.”

She comes over and hugs me. “Treat her right and she will be forever loyal to you. Treat her wrong and she’ll drop you like she dropped her Mom.” I’ve been meaning to ask her about that, “What happen with her Mom, and where is she?” She gives an irritated sigh. “Fuck if I know. Keya has been taking care of her siblings since she was 4. My daughter ain’t have no business having kids in the first place. She can barely take care of herself, let alone 6 kids! Keya is just gifted in this area. She’s done everything from fighting bullies to taking ass whuppings for her siblings. Getting everything that they need from clothes to food to doctor appointments, she’s done it all. I just give her the money and she handles it with no problem. I know she’ll make a great wife to you.” “I'm looking forward to it, Grammy.” She chuckles, “I’m looking forward to those gorgeous ass great grandbabies y’all gonna have!” I grin, “Me too!”

When everyone is dressed and ready to go, we meet the rest of her family in the lobby to eat breakfast. I see them all giving me weird looks, wtf is their problem? ‘OMG, Papi I... I think they heard me too!’ She tells me over the mindlink and she sounds so embarrassed, sigh. ‘Just try not to think about it, ok.’ She nods, but it doesn’t look like she’s gonna let it go. I stand up, clearing my throat, “Good Morning, Everyone. I have a spa day set up for us on Saturday morning. It’s all-inclusive and don’t worry, it’s paid for.” They were all super excited. I’ve done this for my family many times. It really helps with stress relief. “After the spa, we’re going shopping, and then Keya and I have to go meet with some, uh, friends on the south side of the city.”

Grammy looks at Keya curiously, “Are you gonna visit your Dad’s family while you’re down there?” Keya tells her, “I might if we have time.” “You know they wanna see you.” “Yeah, I’ll make some time to visit them this summer, I promise.” She mindlinks me, ‘Shit, more people to explain things to, ugh.’ ‘We are gonna be okay, Princess, just trust me.’ ‘Ok, Papi.’ We finish eating and make our way to the Six Flags and get here early enough to park up near the entrance. I am a bit nervous about her spending time with my individuals, but as long as they don’t break out and do anything crazy, we should be good.
