I'll Train You
“What are you doing?!” A loud voice appeared out of nowhere.
My eyes widened when I heard that voice. I looked where it is coming from to confirm if I am not hallucinating things. I cried even more when I saw him in front of me, knowing that I will be safe and he will be protecting me.
“Alpha!” I heard one of the three members of the family of daggers.
Without saying another word, all of them ran quickly that leaves the two of us alone. My tears are not stopping from falling down and I can also hear me sobbing. I am just grateful that I was able to get away from those wolves trying to get a revenge for something I did not commit. I am thankful that someone came.
“T-thank you…” I said in between of my sobs.
My vision is blurred from my nonstop tears which hindered me from seeing his face. He did not bother to answer me back. He just stood there until I was able to control my tears from falling down.
When I looked at him, with my eyes cleared, he has no emotions to show. His thick eyebrows are the same as it was before, his jaws are clenched but I am not aware for what reason. Probably annoyed with the fact that he found a cry baby being bullied by other wolves.
He looked at my wounds, “can you walk?”
I bit my lip and nodded despite that I am not really sure if I can stand alone. Both of my legs are aimed earlier, enough for me to be prevented from running away from those daggers. However, I can feel the relief now that someone is with me. My wounds do not sting as it did earlier. The pain that I am feeling now is tolerable as compared with earlier. I guess, having someone can lessen the pain. It might be psychological.
I tried to stand on my own feet when I almost lose my balance. He immediately dashed towards me and held my waist to prevent me from losing balance. I blushed when I felt his warm hands around my waist. My pounding irregular heartbeats start acting again and I could feel a tingling sensation in my stomach. I bit my lip, suppressing my own breathing. I am afraid to move a bit, his warm hand enveloping my waist is too much to handle alone. I might probably collapse with this feeling.
When I established my pose, he did let go providing support. I smiled shyly, aware that my face is blushing heavily from the embarrassment…and some foreign feelings.
I saw his jaw moved but I can’t read his facial expression. He looked at the forest behind me.
“Heading home?” He asked. His deep voice made my heart fluttered.
I shook my head. I have no will to go home at this state. With the four wounds that I have received today, I am ashamed to look at my own parents. I have brought so much embarrassment and I don’t want to add more today.
He picked up the paper bag containing all my purchased book earlier, I must have dropped it when I was attacked by those daggers.
“Thank you.” I shyly extended my hands to get those books from him.
However, he just looked at my hands without any plans of handling the paper bag. I crossed my brows, unable to comprehend his actions and its meaning. Was it so vulgar of me to extend my hands? Right! He is the alpha and I should have at least give some respect.
He cleared his throat, “I’ll escort you to your place.”
I shifted my gaze at him, my mouth flew open. Doubting myself if I heard him right or I am hallucinating things again. “W-what?” I asked in an almost inaudible sound.
He did not answer and started walking towards the forest where I was supposed to go before encountering those members of family of daggers. His left hand is holding the paper bag while his right hand is in his pocket. He is wearing a trench coat, covering his black pants and shirt.
I blushed and was hesitant to follow him but I decided to walk afterwards following his lead. It is a miracle that I was able to walk on my own. With the pain that I felt earlier, I doubt that I’ll be able to walk and get home. The bleeding from my wounds have also stopped, which remains a mystery for me.
I am not really sure if he knows where I am headed to and if he knew the right path to get there but I followed him anyway. Watching him from his back, I could see how broad his arms and back are. I can only maintain my gaze at him when he’s not looking at me. I can’t last staring for a long time, I can’t withstand those amber eyes of him.
To my surprise, we arrived at the magical falls. I bit my lip, how could he know that I am exactly heading at this place? Might have been because this is where he found me before.
He leaned at one of the trees. Unable to think of the thing that I should do, I decided to sit in the grass allowing my body to rest for a bit.
He opened the paper bag and looked for its contents. I turned my gaze at my wounds, too shy to see his reactions once he read the title of the books. I am aware that he was able to watch my duel in the stadium and I could assume that he can see me as a weakling in our pack. Might also be the reason why he did help me.
He chuckled and made me look at him. His eyes are filled with amusement while he’s looking at those books. I bit my lip to hide my embarrassment.
“I’ll train you,” he said with a serious tone. The most unbelievable thing I heard.
