Craving Him
Clary's POV
It was around eight in the evening when we arrived at the town, I haven't been here before. The crowed is more packed that I imagine and the place illuminates well with the several lights lit. The alley that we walked upon was busy with some wolves selling some stuff, it looks like a souvenir shop. There were also old buildings and houses that looks elegant and nostalgic at the same time.
The eclipse hasn't started yet, it is believed that at around nine in the evening it will be seen in the sky. The last time that I saw one was three years ago and I really want it to witness again. It felt magical and I somehow want it to feel again.
As we walk in the alley, I cannot help but admire the souvenirs that were being sold. I went in one of them, the one who was selling a bracelet. Marcus would just walked behind me as I was busy observing everything in this place.
The bracelet that caught my eye has a pendant of a half moon with some gem around it. It looks nice. I don't know but it makes me remeber how I have lived so alone in this life time but is now surrounded by my family who has accepted me for being just me. It was the feeling that this bracelet sent me.
"I'll take this," I said as I handed some money with the one selling the bracelet.
The old woman, who was selling the bracelet, smiled at me. "It comes with this necklace, it is meant to be given for your other half."
She pointed the necklace. It has bigger chains as compared with the bracelet that I bought and there is also a half moon as its pendant. It has no gems, making it more suitable for a man...I don't have anyone to give it, though.
I was about to shook my head and reject her idea that I should bought it, when the old woman placed it in its box and handed it to me. I bit my lip, unable to refuse her. In the end, I accepted it.
"Hey, Marcus," I called him when he was behind me and was busy looking around the place. Probably securing if there is anyone suspicious or is following us.
He immediately turned around and looked at me. He raised his brows as he looked at the bracelet that I bought.
"Is it good?" I asked as I raised my hand to show him even more.
He nodded, "it suits you."
I smiled wide with him, feeling proud with the purchase that I bought. I handed him the box containing the necklace that was given to me by the old woman earlier.
"What should I do with this?" He asked, doubting the fact that I am handing something to him...but he accepted it, nevertheless.
"I bought this in pair," I said, rasing my hand again and showing the bracelet that I bought.
He raised his brows again, still waiting for my another answer. It looks like he was teasing me.
"It's for you, you fool." I said as I laughed wholeheartedly. He really wanted to hear those words from me, he wanted me to spell out that I am giving that with him.
"It is weird to see you giving necklace," he laughed as he said those words. "Thank you, anyway..."
He immediately wore in his neck the accessory. It looks good with him, the necklace looks good too.
I turned my back against him as I decided to walk and observe the place more, waiting for the lunar eclipse to occur. Marcus extended his arm and rested it in my shoulder. I couldn't bother, I felt protected when I am with my cousin. It is really nice to have a family where you can lean on, I couldn't ask for more.
The crowd began to become even more packed that it was earlierr, probably everyone was waiting for the lunar eclipse. Everyone in this mountain seems to be approachable and is not that harsh towards me knowing that I am new in this place and that I came from other pack. Some of them were actually hostile and is smiling with me. It feels great.
"I will be going to the homer pack, tomorrow," I said, trying to get his appoval. He was looking around, with his arms still resting in my shoulder.
He did not bother to look at me, "Don't ruin the night, Erina." He said as a warning and I couldn't help but only pout with his words. I thought he was in the good mood that I could get his approval regarding that. My bad.
It was almost nine in the evening when we headed to the tower where we could sight the lunar eclipse well. The tower was also crowded with wolves, probably waiting for it to come by. I don't feel out of place though, as long as I am with my cousin. I am really comfortable with him around.
I positioned near the edge of the tower to see the moon even more, Marcus leaned in the wall with him facing me and his hands placed in his pocket. I, on the other hand, was busy waiting for the lunar eclipse to show up. Anytime, it would be here soon.
Part of the moon was already getting red, when Marcus appear in front of me and hugged me that covers my view of the moon. I was surprised by his action that I immedietely put my hands in between us, his embrace was tight, though...and I couldn't get away from it.
"We need to go..." He whispered. "That damn Crosswind is here," he sounded so pissed.
His words made my heart pound abnormally...and I am not really sure if it is because I am afraid to be discovered or because my body is craving to see him.
