Chapter Fourteen( Who sent me)

Mira's Pov:

I nervously fiddle with my clothes as I try absorbing every single thing that Luna said, of my arranged husband being Nicholas, my mate. I noticed someone boring a heated hole in my head, I turned in the direction only to be met with the angry black eyes which frightened me. I turned away instantly, I knew that it was the gamma. I adjust uncomfortably.

"Your brother said that he couldn't make it to your wedding," Virginia said to Nicholas whose facial expression changed immediately. He looked hurt by what Luna explained.

"Why….." He questioned.

"He said that he still needs to put some things in control before returning," the Alpha said this time.

I don't know but I kind of feel interested in this conversation, this is my first time being interested in their conversation. I don't know what but I feel the urge to know when Nicholas's twin will return. He signed as he scratched his neck in anger.

"I thought he had finished the freaky stuff," he said in anger.

"Mind your language…..Mr man," His father said in his alpha tone.

Nicholas stubbornly glared at him before returning his attention to his mother.

"But he promised to return before the full moon," he muttered.

"Yeah… he said that but from the information guided so far, some rogues are still dangerously hiding behind the forest," Virginia said in a motherly tone.

"Am I not more important….." He said as he tapped his middle finger at his jaw.

"You are more important, dear, but he needs to do the needful," Virginia said in a soothing voice.

"I mean am I not more important than those freaky rogues. He is always using this for an…..

"So when is he coming back?" Nicholas asked…. He didn't get to finish as the Alpha growled at him.

"He is not using anything as an excuse," Virginia tried reasoning with him.

"How sure are you? Are you there?" He asked.

"I am not there but I am sure, besides, you are not there either," Virginia said.

"Are you guys not the one that declines me from going there," he said with a scowl expression.

"You are getting married, so you need to stay behind," the Alpha said this time leaving no room for argument.

" Damm the f****g marriage," Nicholas spit in anger as he glares at me. Virginia gave me a "am sorry " look.

"Damm the stupid brother of mine," he angrily uttered.

"Watch your tone," I growled at him, causing everyone to snap their heads at me surprisingly. Nicholas stared at me with a dangerous look.

"Any problem, daringly?" Virginia asked with a concerned look.

I scratch my neck in nervousness as I tried absorbing what just happened, I fucking glowed at Nicholas because of his twin brother that I knew nothing about, how stupid of me to do that.

My mind ran a different marathon as I tried looking for a reasonable excuse to provide, everywhere was quiet that you can hear a pin drop. I slowly lifted my head as I noticed that every attention was focused on me with those glaring at me, I said those glaring at me, I meant the gamma and of course my demon mate. I coughed as I tried clearing my throat.

"Nothing dear," I mumbled.

"Then why did you growl at me?" Nicholas dangerously snarled at me.

"How dare you growl at me? You ugly creature," he snickers.

"I am speaking to you," he hit the table hard as he asked me, causing me to flinch back in fear.

I wish for the ground to open and swallow me instantly, I feel f****g embarrassed. I squeezed my clothes so hard under the table as I tried talking, I opened my mouth to speak but no words were ready to leave my trembling lips as they also feared coming out and facing this angry demon.

"You ugly…..he didn't get to finish as the Alpha shuts him up by growling at him.

" But Alpha, she is wrong by growling at the future Alpha, Nicholas. That is terrible behavior and such an act can't be tolerated here, as it is taboo for her to growl at the future Alpha," the gamma uttered with a disapproving tone.

"But she has the full right since she will be his wife in two days," the Alpha said. Nicholas growled at his father who gave him a warning look.

"But she is not yet married and that doesn't give her any right to growl at the future Alpha," the gamma said again with a persistent tone.

"He kept mentioning the future Alpha as for the Alpha to punish me or see it as a disrespect," I said inwardly as I mentally rolled my eyes at him.

"Like u said she has the full right, and besides she is her wife and also our luna," the Alpha said in a teasing tone as Nicholas hurled daggers his way but he smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

"But that's not a quality of a Luna and besides that's worthless of her to think she fits anywhere…. He didn't get to finish as the beta growled at him.

" You don't talk to our future Luna like that…" the beta angrily snarled at him.

"I wasn't talking to you…." The gamma said as he gave him a dangerous look but the beta isn't having any of those.

"As long as you are speaking to our Luna, you are also speaking to us," the beta said as he glared deadly at him.

I don't even know that someone will even stand for me, especially the Alpha who is always looking grumpy reminding me of my sister, Khloe. I signed as I stared at the beta and gamma exchanging words with their wives trying to calm them down.

"ENOUGH….." The Alpha growls deadly, causing everyone to go mute. He releases his aura, making all of us shrink back to our chairs.

"Easy….easy baby," Virginia said to her husband with a calming tone, rubbing his shoulder as she tried to calm him down. The Alpha's eyes turned back to his normal color as he signed and lay back in his chair, the atmosphere f*****g feels awkward. Who dares to utter a word.
