Chapter twenty-two ( I need a grandchild)
Third Person's Pov:
It has been three days after the wedding and Mira has locked herself in her room, she refused to see anybody or to even have her food. She looks skinny and pale, she has lost a lot of weight within a few days. All she does is wake up, cry, think about her life, and cry herself back to sleep. She has also forgotten to take her bath, her whole body stinks but she cares nothing about that which is unlike her who was a neat freak.
After the wedding when her parents wanted to travel back since they won't be staying here though they stayed for a day just to see her she refused to see or have anything to do with them again. It still baffles her how her parents are ignorant and paid deaf ears to her cries and misery, they care less about her, especially her happiness. All of her time growing up, she always does what will make them happy. She never cares about hers, she always puts them first and she always forgets about herself. They were her priority; she took it upon herself to restore their pack's dignity and that's why she went into the training of becoming a warrior without knowing that all of her efforts were going to be in vain.
She thought that her parents were fond of her, she thought that they loved her and were even proud of her but right now she has realized that it was only her thoughts for no one loved or even cared for her. Heaven is still in pain about their mates not wanting them.
She heard a knock at her door but ignored it, she has been receiving different knocks from her door room since the incident but has paid deaf ears to them all, she has refused to open the door. Still sitting in the middle of her bed looking hazarded and pained, her door room was forcefully pulled open but she felt numb to even notice anything. Even with the sound and force that the door was pulled with, Mira didn't hear anything.
Virginia with a teary eye rushed toward Mira "My baby girl….am so sorry," Virginia cried out as she held Mira in her hands.
"Please speak to me," Virginia nervously said to Mira since her silence is killing her.
"What!...?" Mira yanks back to reality as she stares at Virginia confusingly. She was surprised how Virginia got into her room without her opening the door.
"Bab…. She didn't give Virginia the chance to speak as she beat her to it.
" How do you get in…?" Mira asked with a confused expression.
"Finally…." Virginia shrinks in happiness.
"Finally…. what?" Mira stared at her as if she had lost it.
"So you can finally speak and recognize someone," Virginia cried out in happiness.
"And who told you that I can't speak," Mira mumbled as she rolled her eyes at her. Virginia smiled and shrugged her shoulders before engaging her in a conversation to lighten her mood.
After two weeks that everything had settled, everything was back to normal. Mira was back to normal though memory can't be forgotten. She tries everything to avoid her husband, Nengi, and the gamma Mr. Philip. Reading a story while laying on her bed with a bowl of popcorn placed behind her, her door pulled open as Luna entered, with small nylon in her hand. She placed the nylon on top of the bed in front of Mira, seeing the confusing look that Mira was giving her, she signed and sat beside her.
"Mira….. You know it has been up to two weeks since your wedding," she said
"Yes….but why are you telling me this?" Mira asked, remembering the event that took place that day, pain flickering in her eye.
"Have you seen Nicholas since then….?" She asked.
"Nope…," Mira shrugged her shoulders as she answered.
"Why!!!.....but he is your husband, it is your duty as a wife to know his way about," Virginia said though she calmly said that but her words and tone looked serious.
"I will try better next time….." Said Mira nonchalantly, confused as to why Virginia we're acting weird.
Virginia rubs her scalp as she signs "Fine…. but in case of next time please know your husband's whereabouts for you were supposed to be stuck by his side every time," said Virginia.
Mira rolled her eyes at her in her head, she glared at her as she eyes her from head to toe "She wants me to stick by a demon," half-whispered Mira within her head.
"Why are you here?" though Mira wanted to make the words sound calm. It sounds cold and serious like she never wanted Virginia though it was true. She didn't want Virginia right time, she needed her out of her room but bad, she can't do that. She wants her peace of mind, she isn't comfortable with this topic.
"Can't I visit my daughter-in-law again?" questioned Virginia with a caressed eyebrow.
"No….No!!..... that's not what I meant," lied Mira as she tried stopping Virginia from leaving.
"You can stay…. I so much love it here with you," said Mira with a phony smile.
Virginia signed before replacing it with a smile, she smiled back to Mira before walking towards the bed. "I am here….. She didn't get to finish as she stares at Mira to know her expression.
" I brought you clothes…" nervously said, Virginia.
"Why do you bring me clothes…?" said a confused Mira.
"You need to wear it tonight…" Virginia naughty uttered.
"Why………?" asked Mira.
"I need a grandchild…." Virginia pout.
"I don't understand…." Mira said with a shaky tone, she hoped it was not what she was thinking.
"How come you don't understand…." Virginia said with a poked expression.
"I want you and Nicholas to consummate your marriage," nonchalantly uttered Virginia as if it meant nothing like it was the right thing to do.
"What!!!!!....?" Screamed Mira horribly.
"Why screaming? You will go tonight," said Virginia.
"No way!!…." Insisted Mira.
