Chapter Forty( I want to reject you)

Nicholas Pov:

"You said that my father wanted to see me, right?" I doubtingly asked Lucien. I knew that my father wasn't calling me, he just did that to save that pathetic fool. I still can't see myself getting knotted with her as husband and wife. The moon goddess made a mistake in binding us together as a mate, it was a huge slap on my face. How am I to be walking with that thing as my Luna? Though she looks strong and fit to be a Luna still I can't see me viewing her as one. She is not my type of girl, she is not the type of girl that I roll with. Is the moon goddess trying to pay me back for all my wrongs? Even if she wants to pay me back but not in this way, I know I am ruthless and dangerous but getting payback by Mira, that stinking creature like my Luna, and the terrible part being mated to her, this is the worst thing ever.

"Yes, your father wants to see you……" He bluntly said, jerking me back to reality. He tried looking strong but the tone of his voice failed him, nervousness and fear were visible in them. He sounds serious but he looked the opposite.

Stopping at my track I murmured but to his earing "Is my father truly looking for me….?" With a serious tone, I asked. What I hate most is not being truthful or honest though I don't have those qualities, I prefer them to be there in my subjects. He felt that I didn't know that he was lying or that he knew but just trying to act tough?

"For the last time, Lucien….." I barely muttered but in a serious tone, there was a hint of warning in it.

Clearing his throat, he insisted that my father wanted to see me. I would have liked to reach my father's chamber before doubting him but what I don't want is to reach there and find out that I wasn't summoned. I don't have the strength to face my father now, I have tried to mind linking him but he blocked the mind link.

"Looks like he was still angry with me……" I laughed bitterly within myself.

"I know that my father wasn't looking for me, so stop lying to me, Lucien because I can see through you……" I retorted angrily, with a furrowed brow.

"You are right, your father didn't want to see you……." murmured Lucien.

"Then why did you lie to me and drag me all the way here?" I scowled at him.

"Hey, hey, calm down….." He muttered as he sighted the frown on my face, he knew that I am already irritated and that what I seriously don't want is someone testing my patient. He has done enough by saving that dummy by using my father as an excuse, he knew my relationship status with my father. He knows that the old man wasn't proud of me and I am kind of scared of him and that's the reason he has to use him to get to me. I clenched my fists with my eyes shut tightly as I tried calming the burning anger within me but I noticed that I couldn't control it. I dangerously snort in frustration and outrage.

"Don't test my patient……!!" I let out a low growl causing Lucien to take a few steps back as he tried telling me to calm down.

"Why did you lie to me? Do you think you are worthy of being my beta with this behavior of yours?" Taking a predatory step toward him as I snarled at him.

"Please calm down, I promise I will explain everything……. Just please try taking a chill pill and calm down," using his hand he tried telling me to calm down when taking a step backward. Fear and Panic were visible in his eyes as he pleaded for me to stand back.

"You have nothing to explain, I know why you did that nonsense…….." I dangerously murmured with my eyes fixed on him.

Nervously laughing he mumbled, "Now, you already know the reason, please can we amend our mistakes and allow the past to be in the past……"

"Why did you use my father against me? How am I supposed to have a Cameroon beside me? This is not the first time you are doing this…..!!" I yelled madly at him.

"Hey, bro, please calm down, we are supposed to be working together and not fighting….." With a careful look, he muttered, he kept glancing at every corner to know his way out. Noticing his plan, I speeded my steps towards him.

"Really……." I mockingly sneered at him with a wicked smile plastered on my lips.

"I just did it to save our Luna, please try to understand," lifting his hands he mumbled in a surrendered tone.

"Who told you to save her….?" I recklessly asked him.

"Nobody, but I can't bear the pain of watching our Luna go through that pain without doing anything," He said while still taking a step backward.

"When did you turn into a good Samaritan…..?"

"And besides, weren't you supposed to be by my side? I furiously snarled.

"And that's what I am saying, I am always by your side, bro….." He mumbled with a phony smile as he nervously rubbed his palms together.

"Who told you to interfere in my matter?" I lash at him as I bare out my fang. He flinches back in fear as his forehead caresses in panic.

"I am…. I mean that……" I didn't allow him to finish as I pushed him toward the wall. Tightening my grip on his neck I growled deadly at him.

"You don't interfere in my matters from today onwards, whatever I do is none of your business. Your only job is to worship me as your leader…..!!! Do you get it?" I hazardously warned him.

"Do you get me……?" With anger, I glared at him.

"Plea…..please, you…. are choking me," He breathlessly mumbled as I tightened my grip causing green veins to pop out on his forehead as he struggled to free himself but he was no match to me. He can't compare his strength to mine, I am his Alpha and he was supposed to worship me, to follow my instructions, and not the other way round. He was to be my subject!!! I need them all to fear me, I don't have time to mess around with them.

Nodding his head in approval, he tried so hard to fight back the tears in his eyes. Holding my hand he attempted to loosen my grip on him but the more he made an effort in removing my grasp on him, the more I ended up tightening my hold on him. I knew that we grew up together but that doesn't mean that he has to behave anyhow, my brother might be soft on him but that doesn't mean that I have to do the same. I will rule them soon, so I deserve respect from them all.

"Don't you talk? You little good Samaritan…." I taunt him with a wicked smirk plastered on my lips.

Swallowing hard, he whispered "I have heard you, please I am choking to death,"

"This is just a warning….." With a serious tone, I warned him before tossing him to the floor, releasing him and he fall to the floor as he tried catching his breath.

"You should go back to your room, I have to get some rest too. Aren't I too kind?" I mischievously asked him with a dangerous look.

"Yes, yeah….. You are very kind," He nervously stammered amidst his cough as he tried catching his breath. Laughing dangerously I left the place towards my room.

Almost to my room, I noticed a tiny, pale and fragile figure sitting in front of my room door. I suspiciously and quietly started taking a step toward that direction, I looked sides ways as I walked in a way that she shouldn't notice me. "I need to be careful to avoid casting myself……" I whispered to myself as I carefully strode in the direction.

Reaching nearly to my room, that's when the smell hits my nose. My face hardened as I scented the one person that disgust my being. I angrily strode toward her, as she nonchalantly sat there. I noticed that she picked on my scent because she snapped her head quickly toward my direction, panic and shock were written all over her face as her eyes held different emotions that I couldn't figure out but I don't care.

"What are you doing here…..?" I asked her with venom visible in my tone.

"I….. I….. don't worry," as she dismissively waved her hand, standing up she tried walking away but I forcefully yanked her.

"Don't allow me to repeat my question, again," I shot her a deadly glare.

"Don't you hear me…..!!!" I angrily yelled at her, she quickly jumped up in fear with her eyes staring wildly at me. She looks frightened, clearing her throat, she nervously swallows.

"I am here to reject you………..
