Chapter fifty-six(Be my spy)

Nengi's Pov:

I thought that it was going to go smoothly like the way I planned, I assumed it was going to be a fast job but it doesn't seem like one. Entering his room, I forced myself to play cool and be calm but seeing those pathetic faces of his burns my anger. Staring at those faces always reminds me that I am mated to this weakly, it was hard for me to keep my irritation for him. Trying to sound cool and nice but still, the irritation in my tone wasn't mistaken it was fucking there but he was too blind to notice it.

Finding myself trailing my nails on his body was a hard choice that I made, I need to do this thing and walk the way out of there. I just needed to finalize my purpose here and hike the fuck away from here.

"Remember that you promised….." I remind him.

"I hate promise and failure," I disclosed. I said in a serious tone for him to see that I wasn't here to play, despite how calm the words rolled out of my mouth they still sounded dangerous and had a hint of warning on it. Nodding, he gave a sign for me to speak up.

"I want you to be my spy….." I let out.

"Spy!...." He shockingly expressed "But how….?" He asked.

Smirking, I focused my attention back on him "Work for me….."

"Work for you! You damn serious right now," he was taking back by my word.

"Yes, work for me," I reluctantly mumbled.

"How am I possibly going to work for my mate?" He confusedly uttered.

"It doesn't make sense…." He concludes.

"But it makes sense to me," I insist.

"That's not possible….." He countered.

"It is possible, remember you promised," I uttered with a taunting smile.

"This….. I mean it doesn't make sense, you know I am always occupied. I have to be around Nicholas and Derrick every single time and finish any of their work that they couldn't complete. I have a lot on my fingers and working for you is……. " I didn't allow him to finish before I uttered, "That's it….." Clapping my hands I said to him.

"That's what…..?" He bewilderingly gazed at me.

"Come on, I told you I want you to be my spy, right?" I asked him.

"Yeah, which is fucking confusing," he answered back.

"Spy on them….." I told him.

His eyes narrowed in confusion as they stared at me to know if they could understand what I meant. "Spy who exactly….." He finally asked after hours of not figuring it out.

"Spy on Nicholas and Derrick for me……." I proclaimed.

"What!!!......." He surprisingly shouted.

"Hey, calm down and lower your voice. It is already late in the evening," I told him. As I draw my eyes at him in anticipation of an answer. Swallowing hard he glances at me "They are my best friends, remember….." He blurted.

"And I am your mate!!...." I exclaimed.

"How do you expect me to spy on them…..?" With confusion, he asked.

"I didn't expect you to spy on them, but I want you to do the job," I blurted.

"Why? Why did you want me to spy on them?" He muttered with confusion and worry.

"The reasons best known to me," I glared at him.

"To spy on what exactly? Because you are driving me insane," he professed.

"Enough questions, I am tired of the damn questions," I yelled.

"Just do as I said…. Monitor their every move and bring me feedback at the end of each day," I openly declared to him.

He gaped at me, "Why…….." He asked.

"I said enough questions!! Can't you get it," I snapped at him?

"I can't do this……" he murmured.

"You promise, remember….." I remind him.

"Yes, I promised but this…..no, no I am not going to do this," he persists.

"Really…..?" I forged hurt and pain.

"But I will try and make up for you…." He tried calming me down.

"I hate promise and failure," with gritty teeth I remind him again.

"But I will make it up for you," he insisted.

"If you are not going to do it, stop talking to me, and let's reject each other," my face hardened as I coldly uttered.

"You are not being serious, right?" He gave a nervous laugh "You can't possibly want us to part ways because of those guys……" his eyes pleaded for me to reconsider my words.

"Let's end things……." I falsely cried out "You choose your friends over me, your mate," I forged pain.

"Come on, you know that you will always come first, I love you and that's what matters," he confessed.

"Don't you dare touch me!" I exclaimed.

"Fine, just know that I am sorry….. I can't intentionally hurt you," he seems sad and hurt but I don't care I need him to do the freaking job.

"But you just did……" I whimpered.

"Baby, please……. " he pleads.

"ENOUGH!......." Raising my hand I stopped him in his tracks before he could touch me.

"I said enough!!......" I harshly snapped at him, opening and closing his mouth. He nodded his head and gestured for me to continue with grief and pain flickering in his eyes as they stared deeply at me. My heart wanted to melt for him but I angrily reminded myself where I truly belonged. He and I don't belong together, we are both different people, and that we should be forever. He will be skinned alive in my palms after completing his mission for me, I will kill him before he ruins my plan.

"Stupid mate bond," I cursed under my breathe.

"So……" turning to him I muttered, "Do you want to let me go?" I asked.

"I can never let you go, never!!" His eye turned darker as he possessively said.

"Then do the job and have me all to yourself," with a dazzling smile I uttered.

"In as much as it is tempting but I can't do that, what if I am caught?" He said.

"Are you a coward?" I spit with anger, "You will know how to do it and get me the feedback," I snarled.

"Why are you doing this?" He asked.

"The reasons best known to me," I muttered.

"That you couldn't share with me," he reacted.

"I will let you know at the right time….." I mumbled.

"When…..?" He inquired.

"Soon….." I said to him,

"Soon!!.... Just soon," he doesn't seem ok with the answer, more he is in doubt that I will tell him.

"Yes, soon that's all for now," I said….

Nodding his head, he turned around for me not to see his pain, smiling devilishly. I thumped myself up. I know I am getting to him, and I will disclose the reason to him when he is six feet down. He doesn't know what he is in for, I laughed within me.

"Choose me or your friends….." I said.

"I choose you, of course," he announced.

"Spy on them or lose me forever……" I utter.

"Babe, you can't do this….." He pleads.

"Spy on them or lose me for good," I insist.

"Gosh!!......" He yelled to no one in particular, with his hands clenched and curled in a ball he struggled to fight back his emotions, turning to me with red eyes he muttered: "Am in……."

A wild smile curled up my lips, "Good boy….." I mumbled. He gave me a small smile before looking the other way.

"Let the plan begin………
