Chapter sixty-seven( The threat)

Mira's pov:

It has been a while now and a lot of things have been happening in the pack lately, the whole place is always in chaos. From the information and rumor flying around, I heard that they were working on fixing the issue but the problem gets worse each passing day. Angel still hasn't woken from the coma which still has me worried. Derrick has been avoiding me since the incident trying anything to make sure we never cross paths which I was okay with at least it going to give me time to pack and run out of this pack. Nicholas was usually clubbing and partying all day.

"Can we leave this pack with all these things happening?" I asked my wolf

"Won't they hate us for abandoning them when they needed us most?" I questioned again.

"No! No! ……. They won't bother, maybe only Virginia might get worried," Heaven hushed.

"Why did you say that….?" I was confused by her words.

"Mates don't want us! Our mates don't want us….." Heaven whimpered.

"Is okay, stop it…… you are hurting me and this is why we have to leave….." I mumbled.

"No! No! We will fight for our mates……" Heaven insists.

"Have you lost it, fight for who exactly……?"

"Look, Heaven, this is not happening and we are not fighting for anyone….. So get ready we are going to reject them all starting with Nicholas," I muttered before standing up to leave.

"Uhmmm….. Not fair! We will fight for our mates…." I blocked her at the back of my head immediately, I feel sorry for blocking her because she is the only one that always has my back despite her stubbornness but I need to keep my sanity with her blabbering about mates is making me lose focus and is fucking driving me insane. I have been feeling sleepy, tired, and weak these past days so I decided on visiting the pack doctor but before that, I need to reject those brothers, I can't be the reason behind their separation it doesn't make me any better but fucking worse to find out that I am the obstacle in between their happiness and bond. Their bond was very strong, sweet, and lovely but right now I couldn't say the same, they avoid each other and whenever they cross paths they either argue or exchange glares which never settles well.

I love Virginia. She is like a mother figure to me. She gave me motherly love which I couldn't find in my mum. It hurts me whenever I see her going through pain because of her children. It makes me feel terrible, I know that she wasn't going to tell me how she felt about all these issues not to hurt my feelings but my feelings have already been hurt. They trembled on my emotions, I felt bad for her and her husband.

"Well! Well!..... Who do we have here? A nuisance," I ignored her words and continued my walk towards Nicholas's room. I am tired of being weak, I am tired of them all viewing me as a vulnerable person. I was one of the best warriors in my pack so I need to maintain that honor and show them that I shouldn't be tampered with though I will be leaving soon. If I wasn't brave enough no one, I mean definitely no one will back me up if I wasn't courageous enough. Snubbing all her ranting I proceeded with my walk but not till I felt someone yank me back.

"Nengi what was that for…..?" I angrily asked as I fixed my eyes on the spot she was holding me.

"Haven't you done enough! Huh…. ?" She glared with a taunting brow.

"Done what…..?" I asked her confusingly.

"Don't pretend that you have no idea what I am talking about….." She snapped.

"You know what Nengi, I am not here for your ranting or even have that time….." I mumbled before turning around to leave.

"Are you happy that the once happy brothers have separated?" I halt in my track as her words vibrate in my ears

"They have separated all because of you! You are nothing but a misfortune……" tears flickered in my eyes as her words pang me too deep in the heart.

"You know what I always think why should parents not want their daughter but now I have come to realize……" she mockingly smiled when pacing around.

"Nengi….." I let out a warning growl but that didn't flinch the devil rather it motivated her spirit, she devilishly let out a laugh.

"I have come to realize that no parents, I mean no parents, should want disappointment as a child……. AND THAT'S WHY YOUR FATHER HAS TO SELL YOU OFF FOR POLITICAL REASONS!!" She lashed out as her words bleed my heart into pieces. My past which I have so much longed to forget came rushing into my head.

"How dare you!.... I roared and before I knew it my hands collided with her face, I gave her a tingling slap across the face.

" Ahh! What the fuck……" she surprisingly exclaimed when holding her cheeks. I know that she wasn't expecting that and I too wasn't expecting that either, I watched as terror flashed on her face before she quickly masked it and hurl heated glares my way but I won't allow her to see that I am shrinking out like a chicken.

"Hey, baby there you go….." Heaven gave me a thumbs up, encouraging me to kick her ass. I thought that I would block this stubborn wolf but she always has her way.

"You can't shut me off baby girl, not in this kind of situation…." She plucks her tongue at me.

"Silly…….." I amusingly teased her.

"How dare you slap me!" Nengi's voice snapped me back to reality, "You think everyone is going to fold arms and watch you destroy what we all have been laboring for long….." She growled in anger.

"I think you should say that for yourself…… what you have been struggling to have by doing all sorts of evil," I let out an affront smile.

"Hmmm, interesting because the moon goddess confusingly binds you with the twins you thought that you now have the right to talk to me like that…… what a sore loser?" She spits with venom.

"The moon goddess always has a reason," I muttered, "I think that I should say that about you…. You are a desperate and insecure thing that always wants to have what will definitely never be hers," I lashed out.

"I would love to see you try….." The words roll out of my lips with venom despite how calm it sounds.

"Don't you dare lay those filthy hands on me," I dodged her hand before she could land it on my face?

"Fierce, right….. It still baffles me how a chicken you were yesterday but now you act like you have the world under your feet just because you got mated to those brothers that never wanted you……" she madly muttered as I teasingly smiled at her, I know my sudden change of behavior still surprise her and same applies to me but I am goddamn tired of them seeing my weak side. I'm sick and tired of taking shit from them.

"I can make Nicholas reject you with a twinkle of an eye….." She uttered coldly. That has always been what I ever wanted but I won't let her know that.

"Only Nicholas…." I teased, "Why don't you give it a try…?" I smirk at her.

"I have him wrapped around my fingers that he won't ever think twice before rejecting you," with a smirk plastered on her lips, she uttered.

"You wished…… Do you think flirting or sleeping with him is going to make him crave him? You are just a loser," I spit, I watched as the word hit her making her fume in anger. I need to keep throwing the jabs at her.

"Haha….. And it hurts, doesn't it?" She muttered, "But is it not my fault that he doesn't find you appealing…" she quietly whispered but in a mocking tone. I so much wanted to pluck her throat from her body but I won't allow her to see that her words have that effect on me.

"So bad he still doesn't want to let me go and not reject me, tell me what do you think about it?"

"Huhh…." She madly growls in anger.

"Don't you dare! …… you think I don't know what you did to Angel," my anger is now at the edge of letting my wolf take over.

She seemed taken aback by my words before she let out a dangerous laugh "And that's the same way that I am going to crush you….."

"Aren't you ashamed enough! No matter what you do it will still stare in your face that you are nothing but a loser! A failure….." I deadly glared at her. She growls in anger as she bares her fang out.

"I will crush you, Mira….." She furiously says.

"You won't do any shit, Nengi…. You are just a coward and that's what you are," I slur her.

She suddenly smiled, making me raise my brow at her suspiciously, striding slowly towards me. She stopped almost to my ear and whispered, despite how calm that word slipped out her lips it sounded deadly and dangerous.

"I will crush you just the exact way that I hurt your sweet slave Angel but this time around I will make sure that I crushed every bone in your body even if it means using the last fiber within me then I will do that…….. Even after life, I will still torment your spirit, I will make you die a shameful and miserable death and finally, I will make everyone that cares for you to stare at you with nothing but pure hatred," she finishes as she slowly leans back with a satisfying grin on her lips. I won't deny that her words scare the shit out of me but I won't allow her to use that and get a reaction from me.

"You still can't do a shit, Nengi, you are just a coward and a coward you will always be……" the word furiously slipped out of my lips. She seemed shocked and taken back that her word didn't budge me as she had expected, but she masked her expression with hatred and resentment before turning to leave.

Stopping at her track, she turned around and proclaimed "Always remember that I have my eyes on you anytime and every time….." She mumbled before stomping out of the hallway. Seeing that she had left I released the breath that I didn't know that I was holding.

"What was that? Did I just talk back to that demon girl? But her words kind of look scary and sound dangerous," I muttered.

Seems like I ghat to be careful, let's see how it goes Nengi……
